  1. Website is down, but I have spoken with him recently via email at least He mentioned to me before about relocating his website to a different webserver/country soon, maybe that is the issue with his store?
  2. I never knew that! You know you can still get the titanium IWC GST chronograph? I purchased one through ioffer with "shir". That is one sweet watch, swap the DW's for ETA and you are set! Oops this is moving OT
  3. Bigger fish to fry I imagine Plus the stall is nothing really in the larger scheme of things, it is the factory that they would go after, no?
  4. Me too! My skin reacts very badly to nickel, more so in hot weather etc.... Would it be the same with this alloy I wonder?
  5. Nice one Pix, I look forward to a more in depth review
  6. Hehe, if you could get kicked for being sarcastic and combative, why the hell was TTK let loose on everybody for so long? Not for me to judge, but I was told to "Let it go" too, I was never told why or what for either.... I did not insult anyone or shout names at people or be abusive, but a clear warning was given to me with no explanation... Just need to know what I did, so I can refrain from doing whatever it was again, as I like it here
  7. I agree that QC is poor in general, I always thought that it went with the hobby, these are counterfeit goods after all... I assume you did not buy from precioustime? PT ships from the EU and as such would return any duff watches before they reached a buyers hand, whereas other non EU dealers would not work in the same way. So with PT you get a QC check before PT gets them, and another when he does, before he forwards them on to the buyer..... I am sure a few poor watches still slip through PT's hands, but none have found me
  8. May as well use the rep insert, aftermarket inserts are 99.99% crap! It is true that you can't by the gen insert by itself, but only the whole bezel+insert. It fits the replica as mentioned, but it is a tight fit. Cheers!
  9. Yep it is down for me, so is puretimestore too.....
  10. Not a good idea, maybe find somebody who wants to trade the brushed bezel for polished?
  11. We wait with bated breath Interesting stuff regarding the rotor, shame they don't engrave the "GOLD 750" on the back, or is that just a different version?
  12. $400 might be a bit hopeful, what with the white gold plating. The white gold plated Yachtmaster was over $550, that used an Asian 2892 clone and had no double AR etc.... You never know though
  13. Thanks for the input Joshua, much appreciated If complete interchangeability is the goal, was a genuine purchased like with the other 1:1 replicas? The new Chopard GTXL was an awsome replica, probably the best of 2008 so far. So will this replica have the same build quality and 99.99% accuracy, like the Chopard does? Cheers!
  14. That is true, but would they risk hurting the sales of the more expensive watch by releasing a "lite" one? If they did they would have to remove the AR too, otherwise it would be the same watch to look at more or less, unless you removed the case back...
  15. Yep, and people with more money than they know what to do with
  16. I know what you mean. It is the same as the Chopard watch, one with 7750, the other a basic Asian 21J movement. The cheap version had that backwards crown lettering (ailgim), I always wondered why they never fixed that.... As this has a solid case back, a cheaper version would be cool, but I doubt it will happen, due to the white gold plating etc...... Anyone else remember the new Rolex Yachtmaster replica? Said to be white gold plated with an Asia 2892 inside and it cost upwards of $500, hardly cheap.... I await the price of this new rep with interest
  17. In case you missed it I agree, he is not the most tactful poster I have ever seen I misunderstood why you called him a tool
  18. Erm, I am unable to post about this watch now? :cc_confused: Well can I at least add that the movement is listed as: Hublot HUB21 calibre It has 23 jewels, and the same power reserve as a 7750, at 42 hours. So it probably is a 7750 hack job in the genuine too! How Hublot can keep a straight face when charging up to $30,000 for this type of watch is beyond me!
  19. Actually I do, the "non-complicated" part of his post covers it for me. I knew exactly what he meant by that statement Also in his post: I see no name calling or insults, yet you are the one that called him a tool? I am not defending his in your face sarcastic attitude, but I, and others here in this thread, got the point he was making 100% OK, without any problems. As for the watch, I am still trying to figure out why it needs a 7750 as the OP is probably trying to do... The white gold plating and the 7750 use will most likely make this an expensive replica. When it could be made just as accurate, with a movement more suited to the task (See jerky second hand post) and in plain SS. I think that is a valid point, $350 upwards for this watch, when $200 upwards is easily doable, with a smoother seconds hand.... At least that is what I think, for what it is worth
  20. From what I have read, it does. More beats more wear, more frequent services...
  21. Hehe crazy and true! longshot you should really backtrack with your posts I feel. giorgio may be overly sarcastic, but he has a good point, one you completely missed it seems. So calling him a tool was out of line really.... I am with giorgio and Chronus with this one. Why is it using a 7750? It will only give the watch a jerky seconds hand, nothing else....
  22. Actually you are the one uninformed, or missing the entire point All the watches you linked to are using the 7750 for a reason. Seconds at 9 will need a 7750 for that.... Display back could need a 7750 to recreate the genuine watches movement (Although there is a cheaper Chopard avalable that does not use a 7750) So I think you may want to read some of the other posts in this thread, not just giorgio's Cheers!
  23. No need to lock down this thread, a discussion can still be salvaged What some of you are not seeing, is that this is a standard center seconds watch, with solid case back. It is not seconds at 9, or using a display back. There really is no need for a 7750 to be used in this watch, no? Unless as mentioned it is for the date window, but I don't see why that should be the case.... The center seconds hand of this watch will skip and jump all over the place, just like the Chopard with a modified 7750 movement did.... Cheers!
  24. Yeah, I knew that, seems others here do not see the distinction
