Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL Chrono-Black Dial
Mickey Padge replied to eleley's topic in Other Brands Area
To my eye it looks like it the same, yes.... However there is one small difference, the 7750 movement is missing the regulator. if you look at the 7750 movement, next to the purple jewel, you will see the regulator on CHOPARD-044-new, but not on CHOPARD-046.... Cheers! -

If you could get puretimes watch (which you should), and somehow buy Ruby's case back only, you would have a great watch! Cheers! -
Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL Chrono-Black Dial
Mickey Padge replied to eleley's topic in Other Brands Area
The ONLY good thing about Ruby's watch is the case back, everything else is very, very poor.... Wrong subdial colour, wrong font used on dial, bad crystal/date mag and no AR. The numbers around the edge of the dial are too small. The picture with the blue reflection is trying to make you think it has AR, it does not, it is just a blue reflection Puretimes watch is the best you can get, yes the case back has the wrong engravings, but it has true double sided AR and is correct in almost all other aspects..... they even replicated the vanilla smell of the rubber..... Sure it is $100 less for Ruby's watch, but it is nowhere near as nice as the latest black, or silver dial Chopards (both of which I have seen in person) Don't pay any attention to us though, just get the cheaper one and never realize how you missed out on one of the best, highest quality replicas ever produced.... -
Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL Chrono-Black Dial

Yep, the watch from Puretime is the one you want. It has the best double AR and new high beat 7750 with functional regulator... Ruby's is the older version, and not worth considering, too many flaws.... Cheers! -
So i really have to pay this much for this Hublot?

None of your links are working...... -
I am wearing this right now Just received it today....

I should add that the teething problems were of my own making, trying to remove a spec of dust from under the crystal lol I purchased the watch from ioffer, sellers name shir. It is the second watch I have purchased from him, and his service has been very, very good indeed! Cheers

Watch fixed and working now! Little write up here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=72447&hl=

Just purchased this little beauty from ioffer, and after a few teething problems, I have decided to upload some pictures! The build quality is excellent, very solid. Single AR on the crystal too. The rubber strap is comfortable and for a larger watch it actually fits very well on the wrist Anyway here are some quick wrist shots! I decided on the 008 after reading many, many posts regarding the accuracy of the watch. I am no expert, but I know the watch looks great! So thanks for all those who posted info about this, and other Ferrari watches, you were right! Any comments welcome! Cheers!

No problem, Thanks for your input! I feel a review coming on, well a few wrist shots at least
-
No problem, the pushers are unlocked. The good news is, I found them! They are tiny little metal pellets, like flint from a lighter! So lucky to find them, they were in another room somehow! I will put them back in place and all will be well! Lesson learned Cheers!

I just checked my PAM188 and noticed the little pins used to extend the chrono pushers reach through the movements spacer ring. These must have fallen off and are well and truly lost..... Any ideas as to where such spares could be located? If I can get the parts, it should be a simple fix
-
I just received a Ferrari 008 chronograph. The watch worked fine without any problems, untill I opened the watch up to remove some dust under the crystal. I removed the dust, but now the chrono buttons are no longer making contact with the lever/plate on the 7750 movement, they push a few mm short. I am assuming somthing may have fallen out, unnoticed to me, when I opened the watch up? This picture indicates the area I mean (not my watch) You can see in the image there is a pin pressing next to the chronograph lever, on mine there is not. When I press the button a pin comes into view, but well short of the lever..... Will I be able to source the parts I need? I have looked everywhere in my room and can't find the lost parts, I am still unsure if anything did drop out... Any help or assistance you guys and girls could offer would be greatly appreciated. Maybe somebody with this watch could check there movement out and see what I need to do/buy to fix things? Fortunately for me the chrono is reset and stopped and at 12, so the watch is wearable, but just without a functional chronograph..... Cheers!

That is so right, you just have to look at the new Chopard to see how far the quality has come........ These watches are not constructed in clean rooms, far from it! Most if not all dealers will put right any glaring faults or problems.....

HBB : comparison shots Version1 vs Version2
Mickey Padge replied to Pix's topic in Other Brands Area
I noticed that too, but not all of them have that flaw, some are very cripsly cut. Have you thought about removing the paint and then maybe, re-apply it, but a bit neater? Might improve it a tad at least -
WOW fantastic photos! Nice write up too! It really is a shame regarding the rotor, they should have gone the extra mile with that for sure..... Still a beautiful watch though, and it would look very accurate while on the wrist anyway
-
Thanks for the pics, but I have seen them and they are 22mm and tapered to 20mm, so too small for the Chopard The strap I am after would need to be 24mm or 23mm, tapered to 22mm. I have seen the rally strap on a Chopard and did not like the gap at the top, or the way it went through the deployant clasp. Thanks though
-
That looks just like the strap I want for my Chopard! It is 24mm yes? Did it come with the watch from puretime, or did you order elsewhere? Does it have the large holes in the strap? Cheers!

It would be a sweet watch, and different from everything else you see. if anyone asks, you can just say it is custom made, and you would not be lying either Anyone good enough to photochop what it would look like? EDIT: dadog13 your avatar cracks me up man -

I would like to buy a HBB too. However I think I would like a custom version HBB It would be as follows: Ice bang dial/hands, SS case with ceramic polished bezel, double AR and a smooth black rubber strap... Now if a dealer could create that for me, I would be throwing money at them -

Yeah the V2 rotor has a cleaner cut and finish to it I think the movement should really have black screws though? -

Nice one Pix! Thanks for taking the time and comparing the two, they are very close really, just the finish being slightly better on the V1 Watchmark has just added a few more low beat HBB's to his site. How about a black magic, ceramic bezel and AR for $415?! http://www.timeshops.net/Big_Bang_Black_Ma...__1276-2660.htm Prices are going down all the time -
Is Angus out for the count? What's up with Puretime?
