  1. Neither seem to have any AR on the crystal, I would try and find one with double AR if it were me.... Good luck!
  2. Haha, well it appears I was not alone in my thinking this watch would look better with AR I know the gen does not have it, but the newer version does. Also people do AR their gens too! Nice watches guys, I forgot how good this watch is "out of the box", after all the stuff I did to mine I wonder why they have not replicated the new versions dial and case back? Should not be too tricky to make the new version with the older one as a base......
  3. Keep it nice and simple. Registered mail only, list as $20 value and declare as fashion watch..... I have a 100% record using those methods from the UK to China, and I have sent back over a handful of watches. Cheers!
  4. I only buy watches I will actually wear I will get the new GMT2 soon, however if they replicate a DeepSea 99.99% accurate to genuine, I will still not buy it...... It is a carbuncle of a watch to my eyes
  5. Wearing my franken Omega SMP chronograph today! One of my best, if not the best watch I own
  6. I have always thought the noob date mag and rehaut to be the biggest tell that is was a replica. There are variations with gens as mentioned, but none are as weak as the noob. Nice looking Sub indeed, where is it priced at in the market? More than a noob, but less than a MBK?
  7. No problem, happy to help I just noticed the 3 hour marker in your photo, it should not be there! The date mag is in the wrong position! Although, I can't see any tell tale signs of AR in the picture, I will take your word for it Enjoy your pizza, I just finished off a pizza myself
  8. Comparison pictures: You can see there is a vast difference in quality.
  9. There are a few variations that I am aware of, with or without the correct caseback. However one thing is clear, only the latest version is worth buying. This one has no decent AR, bad datemag/font, bad bezel tachometer and numeral engraving (too bold), inner bezel numerals too small, wrong dial colour and font, plus there should only be three red squares between hours markers 11-12 and 12-1, not four.... I would guess the rubber strap does not smell of vanilla either So all in all a very poor replica, even more so when you compare it to the latest Chopard, which is, in my opinion, one of the best replicas ever made. hooky I really hope you can return this watch, it is not in the same league as the new version.. Cheers!
  10. I am a little confused (permanent state ), is this an MBW/MBK Sub? Or something different? Cheers!
  11. The "ROLEXROLEXROLEX" is still there, it has a weird two tier rehaut, you can just about make it out in the picture, if you look closely.....
  12. That is not the same watch, it is an earlier inferior version...... Spend the extra $85 and get the latest version, I hope you can return that to the dealer... Cheers!
  13. I prefer my SSD to this possible future rep, mine has had the crown guards tweaked and a gen insert installed. It looks pretty damned sweet
  14. 100% agree, next they will engrave the price
  15. Sorry for the thread resurrection, but my Omega SMP has had a final upgrade I know I said I would not do it, but I have had a change of heart...... Can you see what is different now? I think I made the right call. After having some of my other watches done, the effect was so profound I thought the Omega should get the same treatment. This is not the latest AR, but the 2nd revision. Personally I prefer the blue tint to the newer purple, especially with this blue dial watch. What do you guys think? I know the original genuine watch did not have AR, but maybe I have proved it should have? Thoughts and comments most welcome
  16. Bad luck with your search, sorry dude And you are right 40mm is a mistake, as it has a Unitas 6497 inside, that is not going to fit in a 40mm case....
  17. BK is a nice guy, and a great addition to our forum I have one of his excellent Sub crowns on the way right now
  18. Wow that is some timepiece! I have always had a soft spot for this watch, the Bond link makes it irresistible I must say one thing though, this thread shows the colour of the original nato strap clearly: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...bond+green+nato Props to UncleJay to spotting that colouration Great watch, I am envious too!
  19. No problem, happy to help The seller seems to be OK, nearly 350 transactions and 98.2% is pretty good in my opinion. Good luck, I hope he has one in stock for you I have purchased two watches through ioffer myself, from a dealer called "shir". The transactions were smooth, with very fast delivery. You just have to be careful and remember that these dealers are off our forum and as such, the risk is greater. Choose the dealer wisley...... Cheers!
  20. There is this guy on ioffer with 106, 98.2% feedback, he has a PAM048 listed here: http://www.ioffer.com/i/38-PAM048-Panerai-...800bph-30281101 Might be worth firing off a few questions to the dealer first...... Cheers!
  21. If you search ioffer for "PAM 40mm" you will get a few results, however there are scammers all over ioffer, so it is a very tricky place to buy......... What about some of the other 40mm PAM's? These may not be available as you say: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...c58fc90d55775e2 What about these though? http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...c58fc90d55775e2 I have always liked the blue dial PAM168 myself, but never added it to my collection for some strange reason.... Cheers!
  22. The pearl was to die for? Looking at your picture, it seems to have survived! It would seem your pearl is still to die for
  23. Thanks Lani for the info, and for risking your bezel Good to know the bezel is durable and resists scratching, I may well get this watch after all. Hand stack does not bother me, so if the next batch has a different hand layout, I will not be worried...... Thanks again!
