  1. Sounds good Chris I have sourced DW's from www.cousinsuk.com before. They do both black and white versions..... If a member/customer posted you the DW's directly before the sale of the watch, would you be able to install them? I for one would love the chance of a DW correct watch straight from a dealer
  2. Found the picture: Not the best photo to be honest, but gives you an idea...... Cheers
  3. Well I don't tend to make assumptions on behalf of other people, or second guess what they may or may not do/mean...... I read it as posted, he will not waste time trying to re-align the Asian date wheels because in most cases it is not possible, due to the poor quality printing/alignment, instead the watches will simply not pass his QC check, fair play, his QC is more than most other dealers would do Now offering an upgrade, at a price, to ETA Swiss day/date wheels will reduce the QC return rate of watches, and please many potential customers who would like the higher quality, correct font, perfectly aligned day/date wheels Win, win situation in my book, and if the price charged is right, not a loss making one for the dealer either...... All just my opinion of course, but I bet a lot of people would jump at the chance if offered a day/date wheel upgrade direct from a dealer, I would Cheers!
  4. Yeah I read his post rearding the Asian 7750 replica date wheels being of differing quality from one to the next, but I am talking about installing Swiss ETA date wheels, so the alignment and print quality would be perfect, that was my point
  5. Sure, I got them both from ebay, but ebay.de, German sellers for about
  6. EuroTimez, why not just buy a few ETA day/date wheels and install them upon the buyers request before delivery for
  7. That is pretty much already known. Service the latest Asian high beat 7750 and it should last just as well as the Swiss version and keep very accurate time......... The two Swiss 7750 movements I purchased myself, were fully decorated, blue screw versions, of a much higher quality and finish than the standard Swiss 7750's, otherwise I would have just had the existing Asian movements serviced and regulated, which in itself can prove tricky sometimes anyway, as not many places will service replicas..... This just shows how far the Asian movements have come in terms of quality, rather than the other way round (IE: showing that Swiss 7750's are poor, which is not true) Anyway, I still always feel better with a Swiss movement at the heart of my watch, don't you? Cheers!
  8. So they finally fixed the "P" and "A" alignment! This looks much better than the older version, How many peeps will be selling their old model off cheap now I wonder?
  9. Sweet what a result! This serves as a reminder never, ever to use fedex if you are on mainland Euerope......
  10. Sometimes people out grow replicas, and move to the realm of genuines We should wish them fond farewells and offer thanks for their time and shared knowledge
  11. Well I removed the crystal OK. It is about 33mm-ish across, 2mm-ish thick, flat bottom, domed top with a bevelled edge. I have no means to measure it to the degree of accuracy needed..... I looked at cousinsuk, but they do not seem to have anything suitable... I will keep looking, if anybody knows a way to meassure the crystal, I would appreciate some input
  12. I am fairly certain it is mineral crystal, and from what I have read, polywatch is for acrylic based watch crystals It seems polishing mineral crystal is a fairly impossible task.... Seems a replacement crystal is the way forward, and I have just found a website in Glasdow that creates mineral crystals to spec, just send them your watch (or only the watch case/crystal)... I wonder if they can use/offer sapphire crystals? http://www.tevendale.net/ Maybe they could just polish out the imperfections of my existing crystal? Probably worth a phone call at least...
  13. Interesting, thanks for the tip It seems that you may be able to polish glass? Or is this product aimed at acrylic too? Most websites state acrylic glass I will investige further, thanks old skool. Cool idea regarding the non-branded 40mm base, maybe Davidsen could get his hands on a 40mm case? Hell maybe he can get me a sapphire crystal?!?
  14. Must be mineral crystal, because the toothpaste polish trick is not working
  15. This is the sorts of place I need: http://www.watch-batteries.com/material/Wa...ass-Crystal.htm But with more selection/sizes and sapphire crystals.....
  16. These are all 40mm PAM's, but chronographs, what do you think the odds are that one would fit? http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...c696d288736764a
  17. Yeah I forgot about that pesky cyclops! I wonder if there are any aftermarket crystal specialists about?
  18. Haha classic stuff I really miss the Muppet show from when I was a kid. The one in the theatre, with the joke celebrity interviews etc.... Back on topic, good idea by the way
  19. I have just managed to purchase a sweet little fantasy 40mm PAM base model, with an ETA automatic movement. I think the watch is no longer produced, I certainly have not seen one offered anywhere It is a really nice watch, but appears to have a mineral crystal, or maybe tough acrylic. I say this because the crystal has hairline scratches and imperfections on it's surface. Similar to what you can see on vintage MBK Rolex watches after a while.... Picture of the watch, but not my one: I was thinking, what are the chances of me buying a sapphire crystal that could be installed OK? Maybe a crystal that is used for another 40mm PAM rep? Or sourced eleswhere maybe? Any input would be greatly appreciated, as it is as really nice watch and deserves a scratch free sapphire crystal Cheers! EDIT: Fixed the watch! See below for pictures
  20. Lets hope all the lurkers who start posting now are not muppets
