  1. Now that's good photography! Thanks!
  2. Why do you need an "ultimate" version when the one for sale is more or less spot on aside from the movement?
  3. kill the re-sale value..... Still no answer to why though, the date would be tiny!
  4. If you want to ruin the watch go for it! Seriously, why do it, makes no sense to me?!
  5. I picked up a couple of ultimate PAM 199's in a trade, although the second one is stock without mods, and needs the bezel tweaked, as it sits off center, between clicks at 12 That's another thing I need to figure out how to do!
  6. Thanks! However re-luming is way beyond what I can do! I was hoping some of the dial ageing guys might have some tricks!
  7. Hmm, maybe it's my monitor!? Still, the colour difference on my dial seems too pronounced anyway, so even a little darker would help, if not to actually make them match
  8. Thanks for the pics! The hands look a little lighter, but the numerals and pearl seems the same colour to me?
  9. I just picked up this beauty, having searched for an ultimate PAM Sub for quite a while. It has a double AR coated crystal, the lume has been tweaked to appear aged and the crown is a T48, I'll have Sead's A-F CG on the way soon too Here are a couple of pics, full size in the thumb links: Overall I love the watch, the double AR'ed ultimate crystal looks stunning and makes the watch for me, really makes the dial pop! There is one thing I need to know, hopefully you guys will have some ideas The lume looks great, however the 12, 6 and running seconds subdial ticks are untouched, and as a result, a slightly paler yellow, not quite matching the other modified markers (looks a bit more obvious in person). Does anyone know a simple way of slightly darkening/ageing them to match? Any thoughts and observations would be most welcome!
  10. Is it worth the wait to have BK work his magic on your watch? Yes, why do you think there is a waiting list If you want quality and attention to detail, go with BK
  11. I have no clue who watchcollecterhk is, best you stick with our trusted dealers, I do hope you are not a spamming us..... If you do a search on the forum you will see that the Asian ETA clone movement, that is made to "look" (not really) like the Rolex 3135 movement, is junk. It will break, or the superficial parts glued to the movement will fall off and stop your watch from working..... Get the true Swiss ETA DSSD, or even a Swiss Sellita movement version if you can Welcome to the forum, the search function is your friend
  12. You understand fine, two separate sellers Sean is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with, Henry from Tswisstime was rude and unhelpful
  13. I 100% agree, however if you can get an ETA2842/2892 to work, it may be worth a look
  14. If money was no object I would start a 3135 project, alas that is not the case! However, if the TW Best YM watch is really a WM9 in disguise, I will be happy
  15. The dealer Henry Lee from Tswisstime was rude and unhelpful to me, not Sean. If you bothered to actually read this thread you would have seen that fact, clearly you haven't and instead you just want to take cheap shots at me, that is called trolling.... You seem to think it's fine for you to tell me what to do and how I should buy my watches, but that I cannot express my opinion? The pampered/spoonfed comment was [censored], I'll help you with that one, as you can't seem to figure it out On a non thread derailing note, we shall soon see what Sean delivers, as I have just paid for a TW Best Yachtmaster, now the wait begins!
  16. Sean says he can get the TW Best Yachtmaster, as he is based in Taiwan. Great news, he's really helpful and friendly to deal with
  17. Sean told me the Yachtmaster case set only works with the 3135 movement. Case set price is $460
  18. Same watch, on the thick stitch strap
  19. Forum persona is very different from buying/sales communication persona On the forums I just tell it as I see it, no time for BS or otherwise
  20. Haha, politely?! I am so polite it's crazy, I'm English remember! Maybe that's it, I'm too polite!
  21. Very cool, that YM case set does look sweet! I wonder, could a 2824 or 2892 be used in this case? Would Sean sell a complete watch?
  22. I am pretty sure the TW Best Yachtmaster is the same base watch as my old WM9 Yachtmaster, minus the superlumed dial/hands Sean's case set looks similar, but the bezel insert is different, and the crown position even higher? I would rather buy a complete watch myself, so the TW Best looks good to me, I regret selling my WM9..... Interesting stuff
  23. Yep, which appears to me to be the same as WM9 Yachtmasters Links were back on page two I am looking at the Yachtmaster, not to keen on Sub's myself. This is the watch here, it appears to be using the same/similar case set to the WM9 version: http://www.tswisstime.com/swiss_rolex_yachtmaster_replica_watches.html#Rolex%20Yachtmaster%20TW%20Best%20ETA Similar rounded crown guard, thick steep rehaut, tight end links, low profile case, crown position (is a tad lower, 2836, not 2824?) and solid mid link bracelet. At least it looks that way to me, when compared with the WM9 version I used to own: Was WM9 just superluming these watches?
