i was thinking and thought this would be a good thread to hear the opinions of the members here and now we just had a anniversary roll around so i felt why not? lol what r your opinions on appointing new moderators ? not saying the ones we have havent done a good job but wouldnt it be good for the board to have a voting process for new mods like every 6 months and or yearly , just to have some fresh faces and new ideas; to me i think it will make a better board and give other deserving members that love the board a chance to have fun and keep this a open board and not a onesided one (i feel if u keep the same mod team that eventually the board will get onesided like the old rwg did at the end) this is not a post for anyone to get offended on, just a simple thought of having a periodic change for moderating to make the board a even kill joe

yes i said it has some sw traits but then i look further and dont think it is a 100% of either sw or eta , which i am familiar with sw using eta parts and so on , it is like a imposter cross breed of some sort, lol mainly i think it will be a fine movment and not give much problems , but the key here is my customer paid for a eta swiss 2824 for i beleive he said just over 250 usd and got this , also i would like others that have this watch tell us what is in theres and who it came from then we could narrow down if it is just this one time deal or if it could be a treand and so on joe

if this doesnt work out u can always send them to me unassembled and have them beadblasted and pvd coated with the correct coating for 130 usd , and he has done quite a few now and knows exactly what i expect but if u can get them for 20 bucks and beadblasted and the correct coating i may want to send u some to as long as u guarantee the work , when i got with my guy we did about 6 test runs first to get what i was looking for , maybe u should get your guy to do u a test run before u just send him 500 bucks without knowing what they will look like (believe me it is worth seeing and testting out first than coming back later with all these [censored] off people) , just my two cents joe

i have no name to say right now cause im pretty sure the dealer didnt know but it could be happening to all dealers , this new ultimate PO 45mm that is said to have a eta 2824 may in fact be a chinese copy eta , i have gotten one in recently for a relume and noticed it because i was asked to check and make sure it is swiss eta for my customer and i did and ouch, no eta and it fooled me ,,,because it looks and run just like a eta 2824 , parts look identical, finish is nice like eta (i actually feel it may be using eta parts ) but it is not stamped eta , so i felt it was my duty to our beloved forum and my friends to be aware of this and make sure u get what u pay for , and to our wonderful dealers, i think u should make sure on this particular watch before advertising it is eta swiss , maybe your suppliers r not telling u the truth thanks joe edited : i got many request how to tell so i decided to do a little pictorial for my fellow watchaholics, lol just remember if someone flames me on being a little behind on there watches then u have to take up for me and say he was busy helping us from getting scammed , lmao (in other words i need someone to have my back, roflmao) ok the first pics is of the imposter and i wrote things in the pics so u can see where to look and what to look for second is of the real swiss eta 2824 , now u can see the stampings im referring to (this pic came out smaller for some macro reasons compared to the imposters pic but u can see it good enough i believe , meaybe i zoomed too much or something) this is a pic of the imposter from another angle and some scenarios i believe and another picture of the real swiss eta so u can see there is not much of a difference , scary huh? and i know it could be parts from sw company as well, but the main thing is that my customer was sent a picture of a eta swiss 2824 and paid top dollar and go this one , just keep that in mind ok i hope this was helpful to u guys joe

i dont know what to tell u , all i know is i would never challenge the board owner on any of the boards, they have the true power fight with a moderator is not as bad as a admin. if u notice i dont hardly ever post anymore just for this very reason but i still help people all the time as usual , just more behind closed doors hek at one time i had a mod stalker at one time , lmao joe

from what i understand from angus u will have to buy his hand set and dial to put the swiss movment in , i was going to do that cause i had a swiss movment as a spare but when i did some figuring it was actually like only a 40 dollar saving so i went ahead and bought the swiss already in place from him hope this helps joe

i also bought a genuine rubber blue strap for it and it is even better to me on that , i have some pics of it somewhere but just cant find them at the moment joe
