  1. I bought something similar, horizontal made an offer of USD60 with shipping and they accepted. But do note, both winders though for 2 watches, only have 1 motor if i'm not wrong. For prob 20-30 more you can get 1 with 2 separate motors.. just a suggestion. Cheers
  2. Hi all, Spent half a day searching and downloading watch apps for the iphone with gorgeous photos and descriptions. Found the following below and thought i'd share em here. Couple of screen shots as well for illustration. Have Fun! PS: i apologize for the many pictures screenshots you see below, but that's the best way to see it right? Free Apps : Watches | Lite Chronomat B01 IWC Schaffhausen - unable to install cos i'm on v3.0 still haha Paid Apps : 100 Years of Rolex Watches - paid version of Watches | Lite Watches | Lite Hi-Res zoomable photos of major brands, lite version only about 20 watches available i think, paid version has 200 watches. Breitling Chronomat B01 - Great for Breitling and Choromat Buffs Hi-Res photos, no zoom. Features a very cool section with interchangeable dials, straps, cases to create your own chronomat 360 View and very detailed info on chronomat. 100 Years of Rolex - Must Have for Rolex lovers like myself... Its worth $12 imho although i paid nothing Hi-Res zoomable photos of all watches, i dun dare say the entire collection of Rolexes are here, but there's A LOT of watches with different years of vintage etc. Even has a movie section that highlights when a Rolex has been used, References that give an estimate price depending on the condition of watch, categorized by Year or Models. Even has a search function. WOW.
  3. OMG there is a rest room? OOo i need to go, dun tell me where.. i'll look for it BTW, sale starts tomorrow at 7750
  4. I think there is already one Doc, under where you said it should be. Its called Member trade review.
  5. Think Yankeefan has already made known in the watches and the member review sections about his experience... Sorry to hear, in consolation - at least you got the watch, but it must really feel shitty to pay and not get the other half of the package! Hope this gets resolved in an amicable manner and its all a big misunderstanding.
  6. Thanks for this Paul. I did consider the 292 but my casing is black but smooth and slightly glossy not matt like the PVD black ceramic... Maybe this is some first version. Thanks again Paul!
  7. Hi Pam gurus, This is my one and only PAM, bought a while back when i knew nuts (well i still know nutz) about reps. Please advise me if this is a PAM 183H Black Seal, i believe with Asian Unitas 6497, manual handwind with Cortes De Geneve (which i am not sure is which part) bridges. 45mm with crown and 11mm thick. There is HMS at 9 o'clock and a see thru back that prompts me after comparing with several dealer websites that it is a 183H. The only thing is all their 183H are stainless steel and mine is black casing. Appreciate any comments or appraisals as to whether this is a half decent rep or some fantasy worthless rep. Thanks in advance!! Sorry for the massive pictures coming up. Movement Pre-V style buckle Crown Lume shot Thanks again!!
  8. Haha yes my friend, i love all things italian as well especially the coffee and somehow god was a little unfair when he created Italian women ... EIther that, they must really have figured out some pasta diet to stay so shapely and sexy... Oh yah, the watches.. fantastic
  9. I've read most of the reviews of the watches i've listed, except the ferrari. Thanks for the recommendation, An all ceramic is tempting... : )
  10. Thanks for reply. That explains why none of the dealers i asked have such a 'correct' version. I still lurve my GMT IIc
  11. Wow now that u mention, 48mm is really a bit chunky. Would u consider the Ferrari a panerai? Currently selling a radomir black seal to free up funds for fresh watches
  12. Thanks Max, unfortunately my wife knows rep bags from genuine like one of you gurus can tell a WM9 from a gen. She'd stuff a rep down my throat if i ever got her one haha... I'm still recovering from her last bag, hence the wise decision to stay off gens and go into reps for myself. Next up, Skyland Avenger grey SS... waiting for sale time
  13. Beautiful photos! what a nice setting for the shots.. the lume dots look fine and the watch looks grand on rubber. I'll still opt for the bracelet for the nice details on it covered in BT's review and prob get a rubber to switch for everyday wearing... think my mind is almost made up
  14. Thanks for kind comment Lanikai.. enough spending for the day.. just blew cash on cape cod cloths, silicon grease and case closer, magnifying loupe.. OMG. Now i need to rent a space and set up shop
  15. Oh My.. you have nice watches Thogaa. I'm not so daring to wear yellow yet, even the skyland grey took a bit of self persuasion haha. Thanks for the suggestions. My first 2 are from Josh too, this just arrived today.
  16. Thanks BT, your vote alone may have just swung the whole balance for me! Let me take this chance to thank you for all your wonderful reviews and insightful comments. I've spent one too many sleepless nights browsing many of your threads. (Dun worry i'm not a stalker haha) Thanks Eton, that's 2 votes for the skyland... If i do get one, it'll be a V2, problem is which dealer has good ones... sigh
  17. Haha i like your signature Thogaa ... loud crap from the sky.. Any pic of the seawolf thogaa? i saw many versions, which would be a very accurate rep? Thanks
  18. WOo! Right after i posted this, my doorbell rang and my Chopard arrived! Took many pics but dun think anyone is interested in such a common rep. Its a beauty IMO and the rep rubber is sooo soft.. but its a dust magnet! Within minutes there are white furballs and little specks attracted to my belt... Hopefully the rubber belt i ordered does better. Anyone can provide a good link or source for sports rubber belt for the chopard GT XL? Thanks in advance!
  19. Haha... i almost think you know my wife personally, or are all women like such? Unfortunately, my missus's obsessions are with bags (OucH!). If she does decide that for every rep i get she shall get a bag, i either end this love affair prematurely or i better starting getting bloody good reps or even gens for that matter
  20. Hi all, sorry if i'm not posting in the right folder. Just have a general question that i hope to get help with. Still a newbie, so far i have got a GMT IIc and waiting for a Chopard GT XL to arrive. I'm looking next for a daily beater, but it has to be more accurate than most reps. Basically, i'm hoping my next piece doesn't have too many tell-tale signs that even an amateur can tell it apart from a gen. Looking for a piece <$500 and after searching and reading many threads here, i've narrowed it down to these choices. Hope anyone can share their opinions on which i should and shouldn't get. And greatly appreciate if you can suggest like must get straps or simple mods to complement the watch of choice. 1) Brietling Skyland Avenger V2, Grey, SS 2) Hublot BB Tuiga, rubber 3) Ferrari Gran Turismo GMT FER0003 rubber 4) IWC 3717 SS 5) Sinn U1 rubber Thanks all! Gerald
  21. Hi all, Impulse buy on a GMT IIc a week ago and never looked back. In the delirium while waiting for my first good quality rep to arrive, bought a Chopard GT XL as well. Even before that has arrived, ordered straps to complement. Slight hiccup on the first watch, but that has been replaced and i'm loving the watch especially since the missus says it looks great on my hand! (Wow, i understood that as, hey honey, go out and get somemore.. so here i am) Not wanting this new found affair (dun tell the wife) to die a natural death, i've ordered watch repair, disassembly kits from Amazon and am now looking for my next purchases. I intend to get a classic rep, something that can be worn as a daily beater and will take someone more than 5 looks to realise its a rep. Also, i'm based in Asia, Singapore to be exact. Really appreciate if any kind bro can PM me some links for watch makers or modders like lumers or AR so i can embark on this exciting hobby. Thanks all! Gerald
  22. Pls share where you bought the rep with correct engraving? I asked around the dealers and none have it. Thanks
  23. Just to second my own experience. Received the watch with possibly the rotor dislodged. After some correspondance, he sent out a replacement and i received it a day after i sent out the faulty one. Good experience! Ordered one more right after receiving the replacement
  24. Thanks my friend, am looking for a closer to gen strap. vanilla scent, good rubber quality etc. Cheers
  25. Just hoping some experienced member can point me in the direction or specifically, links to buy a gd quality dunlop rubber strap for the Chopard GT XL. Checked the strap is 21.5mm, but unsure whether i can buy a 22mm or even 23mm to fit. Checked the dealer section with no luck. Thanks in advance!
