  1. Its correct.
  2. Most definitely contact them. Im almost 100% sure that international shipment release means its through customs. You have nothing to worry about now and can contact them as a disappointed customer not someone afraid to open his mouth!
  3. This is getting silly. $218 is a great price for a nice watch. If it gets seized they resend a new one. If you have any problems they sort it. If you prefer buying for Neil fair enough but whats the point in bitching about a low price?
  4. The screws looked messy on mine too. Another option is to install an o-ring under the bezel, but again removing the movement and crystal is a job you'd need to be competent at or you could ruin your watch.
  5. I don't know if that is entirely true. From what I read the cost of ETA reps in China is not that much less than we pay. I dont know what an ETA 2824 costs to the trade but I'd be surprised if its less than $50 -60. Your argument can be applied to a lot of things, you can but a bottle of coke in Africa for a few cents but its the market we live in drives the price. You say the average Chinese wage is around $150 a month, so then a watch should be maybe $25 or so. Nice way to think about things but its simply not the way world markets work!
  6. Its quite difficult. The bezel cant be lifted off like a "traditional" bezel construction. To remove the bezel you have to remove he movement from the case and press out the crystal. Then remove the slide rule circle. The 3 screws are then visible. I sent mine to The Zigmeister to be honest but took apart an old navitimer and this is what I saw.
  7. hmm that usually means its out of customs. 6 days? long time if its released from customs in your country.
  8. Yes they are. Well that's the short answer. I'm sure someone will go into the details of how they are assembled in Asia. Then someone will no doubt go into how there is a unstamped 2836 masquerading as a gen ETA version. But I'll contribute the simple answer. Yes.
  9. Go raibh maith agat!
  10. When resetting the chrono the large second hands jumps back to around 10:30 before resetting perfectly at 12:00. Happen to anyone else? ON my other 7750 it goes straight to 12:00...
  11. By the sounds of it you wont be happy until its sorted. A trip to the Breitling AD is in order.
  12. Cant get in touch now since monday. Anybody else able to get hold of him? Thanks
  13. I for one can vouch for an excellent quick service The Zigmeister provided for me. He has also answered many questions I had and can only thank him for his time.
  14. I got a letter from a courier company recently wanting almost $50 in taxes and duties for a rep delivered almost a 6 weeks ago. It was based on the price on the declaration ($70). So far now I've spent $318 on the watch, $50 on returning two faulty watches and $50 in customs duty. So around $418 for an asia 7750 rep and I still dont have a working watch on my wrist. Waiting for the slow slow china post to return my faulty watches to the dealer so he can send a third replacement! Its things like this that make me question the whole thing really...
  15. I think he's getting around to emails now so you should hear soon!
  16. Thanks Rob. I have sent it into my local watchsmith and he will let me know friday. I may send it to you next week if he doesn't fix it but it sounds ok so Im hoping! Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the expertise and apologize for tormenting you with annoying questions!
  17. Ya I cant think what it could be. I forgot to mention, when i popped the dial off the movement the little tube that the hands click onto along with a wheel came off. I replaced them and they seem grand. The little circular springgy thing is a little shook but as I said they work perfectly when turning with the crown and the second hand works.
  18. I recently swapped to a gen dial and hands on a SMP and after replacing the hands, the hands dont progress at all. The second hand is fine but the time doesnt move. They turn fine with the crown. Any ideas? Thanks
  19. No buddy, I didnt set the date between 10 and 2. I always set the time to 6 first. Ya Im sick to be honest. I saved for ages for this and I have a feeling Ill be out of pocket $308...All the same Ill give the dealer a chance to respond and see what happens.
  20. OK heres the story. I recently bought a BCE graphite which had to sent back to be replaced as it was not hacking. Now I got the replacement yesterday and the bezel is very loose, and today I went to set the time and after pulling out the crown heard a click and now it wont set the time anymore it just rotates without doing anything. Am I entitled to another replacement or is it tough look? I emailed the dealer but I guess I;; be waiting a week for a reply due to the CNY...
  21. Could anyone give me some advice on how to tighten th bezel? Mine is a small bit loose. Thanks
  22. Could I ask a general question and ask if anyone has any experience. I am awaiting a replacement watch to be sent from a dealer. It was supposed to have been sent a few days ago (last thursday) from China by FEDEX. It still hasnt shown up on tracking which in my experience is unusual for fedex. Do ye think there is a problem with it? Fedex tracking is a different animal to EMS tracking.
  23. Does the OEM bezel fit the rep SMP bond? Thanks
  24. http://www.amazon.com/Omega-Seamaster-Mids...8&s=jewelry Looks fake?
  25. My local watchsmith options are very limited! Might send it to The Zigmeister or try myself!
