A stem for one of my watches broke off. I have the broken bit out of the movement but how can i get a new stem? I cant remove the broken bit from the crown so I dont know what to do. Its an ETA 2824. Thanks

In my personal experience the nickel is smoother to wind and set the date and has a "nicer" overall feel!

Popo out the pearl and pull out the insert. Job done simple.

Good movement, all advertised as ETA 2824 / 2836 have it. Doesnt matter where its made its an ETA movement.

If the new insert is ok then its much easier pop out the old insert by sticking a screwdriver in the hole of the old pearl. Glue on your new insert and your sorted.Its really very easy. The pearl is very small and quite hard to glue in nicely on its own.

The Asian 7750 is not a piece of [censored] movement. Its getting annoying people saying it is all the time.

What did you use to lube the bearings? Coincidental that it gave trouble after doing this.

I dont think theres many Irish members on the forums! I guess rep collecting takes a special breed!

Unfourtionately thats the way it is with Reps. No way you could send it back. A good watch smith could sort it out for a few $$. Id reckon $30-40.

I think in person the Navitimer is far superior to how it photographs. On a nice thick leather strap its some watch. But again its a personal thing...

EMS from EU to china is almost 30Euro. Fedxx almost 70. Not sure how it is the other way around but Id say not much less than $30.

Nope, the people that would appreciate them will have a strong enough opinion on watches etc to either be for or strongly against reps. If its just somebody that has little or no interest in watches only to wear it to tell the time, then they wouldnt appreciate a rep and you may as well get them a seiko with a warrantee and box. If on the other hand you insist on buying reps as presents drom me a PM and Ill take one of your hands!

A continuously running chrono does not effect power reserve and according to The Zigmeister puts no more stress on the movement than a non running chrono. He has posted this a few times now.

Its almost unusable for me today. Getting errors also.
