i wish i had bigger wrists. 44mm is like the max size i'd go to. wonder what the "dual time" will look like. i really think that "old school" looks have dominated the watch space the last two years, wouldn't you guys agree?

no idea about the size, but people are saying it's in the 45mm region which is not too bad. the chrono may be in the 42mm region which is similar to the 3717 which I am happy about.

Just saw an update that IWC will be presenting some new Portofino models. The new Portofino collection will be launched in 2011 and will consist of four new models (an automatic, a chronograph, a dual-time and a hand-wind with 8 day power reserve). So far only pictures of the 8 days has been released. Available in 18kt rose gold and in stainless steel. Movement is the new IWC in-house caliber 59210 (measures 37.8mm). It comes with a leather strap by the Italian shoe makers Santoni, and is exclusive to IWC. Pics : Can't wait to see the others. I am loving this excitement. BTW Concepta, could you get the movements by any chance ?

it's such a beautiful watch. I had the privilege of trying on the gen once and it felt absolutely fantastic and wore comfortably. I may try and purchase this rep soon and give it the love you've shown it.

It is indeed a beauty and on my wishlist to buy one day. Unfortunately no good rep has been made yet. They all fall short. I have seen a gen dial floating about on ebay, but I am not sure if the rep case has any good resemblance to the gen case let alone be able to accomodate the gen dial. For now keep saving for the gen

Hi and congrats on the watch. If you are thinking about keeping it in the long run, a service on the movement makes sense. Additionally, I would mod the power reserve needle to indicate full 7 days charge. Perhaps a lume job and AR on crystal. But those are just extra preferences. All in all, one of the best IWC reps in the game

i love the rubber on the AT's. I couldn't wear a bracelet with this.. I must say, I wish a strap maker could make a hornback black croc type strap for this watch like they do for the AP ROO's. Damn that would be crazy good!!

yep, the rep movement with the function in this particular rep has a high probability of breaking down. You could get the rep movement serviced but it won't make the movement 100% stable. Concepta offers the genuine IWC movement for this watch. If you let him construct one for you, you get a watch you can confidently wear.

Totally agree with you. But just like with the 7 days, people tend to prefer the white dials for the Ports for some reason. Preferance I guess, but I will definitely save up for the all black, and send it to you for some "Concepta"lusation.
