That was quite a wait huh? I almost got the shakes! I liked your radioactive Radiomir Victoria.
Freddy, my "other" replica is a 1958 Porsche Speedster, and the dash is it's most glaring flaw. Here's what it's supposed to look like:
And here are some bad shots of the car right after it came back from paint. I guess I need to take some better ones since I might have to sell it:
Awesome replica Doc!!!

I'd join you in your well deserved tribute to Sir Edmund TMG but alas, my Explorer II is on it's way to The Zigmeister for some work.
Saturday finds me wearing my 111H on MP Senape

A tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary that passed away this week.
I found it very interesting that he dedicated the bulk of his life to improving the lives of the Sherpa's and local Nepalese and Tibetan villages by fundraising, charities and environmental conservation.

Love your collection azgjav, very impressive!

Good question you pose Gil.
Mine gets less wear sheerly based upon the heft and energy to wear the chuck o'watch that particular day
, but my crystal is part of the current Chieftang double AR run and the Lello date wheel will be swapped out next, so I suspect it will get much more wrist time after that.

I've read that some 1575 are indeed marked 1570, so that's certainly possible. I'm not an expert but I believe it's also a matter of a few different parts for the GMT function.
The guy that owns Jewelryandwatch.com will convert a 1570 to a GMT as part of his service building a franken 1655.

Thanks, TMG. The member offered a refund, but I'd rather have the watch! Has that ever happened to you?
Ahh, small clarification. I'm a NASA-addict, and loove the Speedy, but it's for my dad.

-Knock wood! I haven't had that happen yet. Did they sell it to someone else or was it lost?
-That's right!!! I recall you saying that you wouldn't wear a Speedy.[/

Beauty!
...but everytime I see it, it kills me, TMG. Remember I said I bought a cheapy version of the Speedy on RWI?
Well, it never arrived from Oz.
Going on 2 months, so I guess I have to get another one. Sniff.
Ouch, sorry to hear that Vic!
Since you're mlle strap I see a Speedy on your wrist with a Zulu strap like this one vs a bracelet.

Hmmm tough question Arty, it's so hard to choose one but this is a current favorite.

I love coffee. I got a wonderful Gaggia Evolution 16100 as one of my Christmas gifts. My espresso needs are met, yay.
But now, I need advice on a good American-style coffeemaker, so since RWG is slow, please help me out with this non-watch related question.
BTW, saw this on Amazon.

Cuisinart DCC-1200 12-Cup Brew Central Coffeemaker, Black and Stainless Steel
It's programmable, with all the bells and whistles. EDIT: That's a must for me. Only problem is, we have limited counter space in a smallish kitchen.
TIA!
Funny Vic, that's the exact maker I have at home -love it! It's a great value (the wife and I are hard on coffee makers), even has a tiny filter in the water tank and a pressure sensative button on the heating base that shuts off the maker when there's little or no coffee left in the pot.

Great job, there's a ton of satisfaction doing the work yourself. 1680's look great with a T19 crystal mounted btw.
Did you have to trim the dial down?
