There's the fully modded version on sale over at RG for Euro 700 @_@

That's when I thought that DSN is more like it. DSN's got no "pig" on the dial though.

  2. no you cannot.

only a stem for the eta 28xx series, that means also for the 2892 and 2892A2.

this movement is the basic movement for the soprod module.

so... the stems have a 0,9mm thread for the crown.

that means you have to buy a t-crown for a 0,9mm stem,

or a t-crown for a 1,2mm stem and you have to use a 1,2mm thread adapter-stem with a inner thread of 0,9mm for the 28xx serie stem.

    Just wondering about that...

Can you use the stem for say Swiss ETA 7750 movement (1.2mm)for this watch? I know the stem size is different but if the part that goes into the movement is the same you can actually make a T48 crown work with this movement. I'm thinking of getting this watch with a PVD T Crown too for my next acquisition and still looking for an answer if what I thought is possible could be a solution. I want the PVD version but without a T crown on, I guess the 027A would the way to go...

    Has anyone done this?

  3. i think the polished bezel is pretty much correct.

only the metal-rings aound the hour marker dots are wrong.

but this is one of the next furture modification upgrade made by a local well known to me professional dial maker.

and some very nice surprises will follow.

    you can be excited.

    Hi

about the dial, you can get a gen 24a dial here

    http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=76677

price is great go for it!!!

and if you want something more cheaper I have one for sell here

I've taken a look in the rolli's one and I think that the combination bezel-dial is not correct for a PAM24 ( A,B or C not sure about D) these series must have the plain bezel and NO metal around the hours.

    hth

    Cheers

  4. i have the 087 with the upgraded blue dial.

but now the 064 could be my interest

    rolli

    Hey Rolli,

I am a bit suprised that you not allready own this watch :pardon:

Bought the PAM064 around 3.5 years ago (from EL) and it is my every-year-holidy watch....it is waterproof for diving and swimming and it can take hits, scratches, dings...the watch had a hard time in the last years.

Enjoy the pics....as far as I remember, the main difference to the gen are the ticks on the bezel...too short for the 64 and the 1.000m engraving on the CG lever. Anyway a cool watch that looks and wears bigger than 44mm due to its thick bezel and height!

I do love the aged numbers and indeezes so much....T-dial.... :Jumpy:

    Theo

P.P.S.: Silix still has this model shown on his website....but you never know if he really stocks!

  5. t...i have to disagree.

    nothing is perfect.

but the crown is perfect to use for all case types, also the auto cases.

fits more than perfect in the case tubes inside the seal, and not too wobbly.

a thicker o-ring gasket inside the crown brings the necessary optical case distance.

the tooth-knurling width of 2,1mm is a really good symbiosis of the case, crown and crown-guard.

for me is the optical shape foregrounded.

    rolli

    Palp crown is very nice

    but not perfect

it is much thicker as the genuine (1.9mm) and to close to the case :whistling:

  6. all these solutions are not professional.

with the first t-crown i also had the problem to use a second seal-o-ring.

that's why i use the palp crown.

all crown-guards and lever ( v-, lh-, cartel-, davidsen- ) are long enough for a perfect adaption.

better is the t-crown wouldn't be too deep recessed like the palp crown,

because some tubes are more flat and the crown don't have the contact with the lever and don't permit a perfect adaption.

or.....t purposes a new perfect h-serie crown-guard, then all problems are gone.

    rolli

Just to let anyone know that some guy(s) fixed this "recess" problem by glueing a thin disk of metal on the recessed surface of the crown.

It seems a good solution as it does not involve adding a 2nd gasket or filing down the CG feet.

  7. 1.) a second seal o-ring between the tube and crown is not a perfect solution, it's a totally wrong method.

the correct guidelines for waterproofing and global proofing implies only one seal.

one seal / gasket against the other is a dangerous zone. it's never 100 percent proof.

2.) the new t-crown with the deeper recess is only to apply in connection with the little hero crown-guard.

this crown-guard has a longer lever extension and it's more qualified for a perfect adaption.

  8. that's only a work for a watchmaker profi, if you want a professional result.

not for a tinkerer / hobbyist.

I've been lurking on here for a few months and purchased a few reps, one of which was a PAM 196 Daylight. I have instantly fallen in love with this thing, it's my first PAM and most likely won't be my last. Anyway, I managed to pick up a very nice old case version and would really like to make this thing a reliable workhorse. I have an old beat up Hamilton Khaki Field Chrono with an ETA 7750 movement in it, with a day and date wheel. Can I put that movement into the PAM 196? If so, what is the deal with the hands, I know there is a difference between the Asian and Swiss hand sizes, where can I get the proper hands?

    Any help would be appreciated!

By the way, this forum is great, such a wealth of knowledge!
