I know the modern Panerai watches use a gold plated hour wheel. It's one of the basic tells of today's replica watches.
But the Pre-V... I can't find any good images that show what kind of hour wheel they used. I think silver is correct. Can one of the long time experts confirm?

Update on the 201a and 202a? Please count me in for one of each in non-matching... im ready to send you my money!! Cant wait to own one of your fantastic dials! I just got your 002/009 dial and WOW!! it is being built into an 002.. :-)

bad camera influences the elements in a dial.
mostly when you are make the shot too near, and it is not a minimum 1000 euro camera, then all ellements will be too fat.
so here with a dial.
if you use a top camera with minimum 100 mm macro lense, then you can make a shot very near and you get a real elemets shots.
and also the lettering is fine textured.

Wouldn't this use an ETA 2836 movement?
no.. the eta 2936 has a middle second,
and the pam 088 has a small second on 9 and that's why it need the eta valjoux 7754 Gmt, it is the 7750 with gmt function,
and that's why is the number 7754.
all pams with a small second on 9 has a 7750 inside and all gmt pams like 088, 089 has the 7754 inside.
