  1. Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the TC and TW Best as being 16622 not the blue dial J12. Your right, your links and my J12 blue dial are 116622's. My reference to the 16622's was as a quality comparison.
  2. Both of these are J12's. I have a TC and a TW best, on which I installed a TC dial and hands, I think they are both very good reps to excellent of the 16622 without spending too much. About 2 months ago I got the blue dial 116622 that you linked to above and am extremely happy with it. One can see small flaws if one looks hard enough and the subject of the dial color is always debated. I've looked at it and compared it to a gen in an AD's window and it is amazingly accurate, much better than the BP version. Comparing it to TC'c, albeit with the silver dial, it's also excellent. Just my observations.
  3. I think it looks great! I guess I don't have as discerning an eye as some folks, as I've compared mine to a gen in a display window and found to my eye it was very difficult to tell them apart. I also have a TW Best YM for which I replaced the dial and hands with a TC dial and hands, I'm very pleased with the results. You have a great watch and your photography is outstanding!
  4. You can also send it to Vac. He's worked on 5 of my watches, two of which had a similar problem and he has done an excellent job. I also had an issue with a BK watch, which he took care of no problem; however, his watchsmith is in Asia, China I believe.
  5. That is a beautiful piece. I collect vintage IWC's and have one almost the same in red gold. I believe your watch is a reference 521 but I could be wrong, mine has the ribbon lugs but not the domed bezel; regardless it does have a caliber 89 movement, which is excellent. I would agree with the suggestion of going to IWC's website and joining the forum, they have a vintage section where you can post your photo and get comments.
  6. Your photos are extraordinary, very professional. A couple of questions. Any problems pulling the stem out to set the time and date? And does the date quick change at midnight or is it a slow change. Enjoy it!
  7. Both Andrew and Josh stock the BP; Toro, Sead and Angus stock the Noob. I've purchased both and my opinion is that the Noob is superior.
  8. That's not the latest Noob 116610LV, it doesn't have the sunburst dial.
  9. I have one and have compared it with a gen. The rep is slightly darker but really only apparent when the two are next to one another. Lighting also affects the color so the difference is not particularly noticeable.
  10. Try Watch Material, look under watch case parts, bezel inserts. They sell pearls without the bezel.
  11. This watch is excellent, especially if you ordered the 14k wrapped version. I purchased one about two years ago in black and have been very pleased. This review by BY-Tor is of the same watch. My link
