  1. What glue do you usually use to fit the new bezel & pearl?
  2. How is your bezel? Does it click in firmly, or still has "play" ?
  3. This is the construction of a GEN GMT IIc bezel assembly. Looks like it doesent have a "click spring" anymore, but has a more complicated construction. Interesting if the rep has something close to this?
  4. Is anyone familiar with the bezel construction of a GMT IIc? Is there a spring which can be adjusted to fix the bezel "play" ? I tried removing the bezel, but it doesent want to come off, I did not want to apply too much pressure to damage anything. Is the GMT IIc rep bezel construction the same as on a GMT Master? http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=837204&rid=8523#msg_837204
  5. I have heard some people are replacing their bezel assemblys with gen's. Also there should be a spring, which can be adjusted to reduce bezel play? Any ideas?
  6. Great, would be great if you had some build photos whilst changing the bezel assembly
  7. Great compare on the watches! I got the older 16600 dweller which they stopped to ma ufacture, and was told to be a super rep. Might put this one on order just for a backup!
  8. All the GMT IIc I seen have the annoying bezel play in them and do not click in firmly. There have been couple of dealers who claim that they have th best ones, with bezels which click in etc... But really, has anyone seen one? Only ones I seen have play, and most of the used ones for sale have the same issue
  9. I have a nice modded GMT II C watch, but the only thing that keeps bugging me is the bezel play, is there any solution to fix this issue, or someone in EU who could fix this for me?
  10. Germany, had a GMT II relumed and waterproofed myself. Great guy and does a quick job
  11. So there should not be a crown etched on the SD? I thought even the gen has it, or what's the deal?
  12. The bracelet sits firmly on the watch, and does not come off whatsoever. What bugs me that it looks really bad underneath, and as I wish to make some mods on the watch, I would like it to look good. Is a submariner bracelet the same as the sea-dweller one? Also as by the serial number, this watch should be a SSD v2, and I got the watch second hand, I think that maybe the previous owner swapped the bracelets?
  13. I have a SSD V2, and the bracelet has started to bug me. For two reasons: 1. The spring bars are not in straight, so it's a pain in the ass to remove the bracelet and I'm afraid to loose the watch (+ it doesent look nice underneath) 2. The cutouts for the spring bars are made really badly. They are all different shape/size and compared to the GEN:
  14. Hopefully will send my GMT II out for service soon. It's great that we have Domi here in europe to service our watches. Will post feedback soon!
  15. Great project you got going around there. So the gen dial is smaller then the rep? Or why do you have the gap on the top of the dial between the dial and the case?
  16. Guys, you also have to bear in mind that the dollar was up in price at those times. Dollar does not cost as much as it did before anymore
  17. Great watches you got there, specially like the SD with them being out of production. Who did you get yours from before?
  18. Great SD you have there, are you planning any mods on the CG's?
