  1. I contacted Cousins to ask if they had datasheets for the Chinese movements that they sell, but I was told that all the info they had was on their website. Does anybody know where I might get assembly data for any of these movements? Thanks.
  2. I think that it is genuine. It is dirty, and the photos are not very good, but I don't think it is a replica. By the way, what is wrong with the one you got from silix?
  3. That was an interesting review of your watch, thanks.
  4. I only just found this, I am blown away. Great review.
  5. The version he shows in your link is no longer available. All the dealers show the photos of this one, but if you question them about it, they cannot get it anymore. It is a shame because this one was more accurate to the full size genuine watch. The version that you can buy at the moment is more like the speedmaster 'reduced' version. There are dealers in the UK if you are worried about shipping. I have bought from the far east several times in the past and had no unexpected problems using registered airmail, which takes about 10 days.
  6. Your watch looks great, I enjoyed the story of this watch too.
  7. I know. I'm not really bothered about that for the price. I am more concerned about how it looks.
  8. I am tempted to get one of these with my next order, I was wondering what the quality is like. Also, I am looking to avoid the sunken datewheel issue, so am looking at the 12-9-6 version. Thanks.
  9. Search the forum for 'garryflex', and you will find all you need to know.
  10. REP, that goes for the box too.
  11. Thanks for your reply, but I don't think that this is my poblem. The tube and the crown do not fit together, I have been told to 'broach the pendant'. It is as if the centre of the tube is too narrow. I don't think that this is the same thing as tapping.
  12. vmena, can you tell me which tool you would use for this? Thanks for your help.
  13. I baught a generic cown and tube and have been told by the seller that in order for the 2 parts to fit together - "You have to broach out the pendant to make the crown fit" I have no idea what this means. I looked on wikipeadia and it seems like broaching is somthing like using a file. Any help is appreciated....
  14. Are you talking about a rolex specific catalogue?
  15. Avitt, I tried to PM you but you box is full. Can you tell me more about the book that these pics come from? Thanks.
  16. Just for my own interest - Is the box, paperwork, tags etc all replca? Thanks.
  17. Toothbrush and washing up liquid for cleaning. Use a cape cod cloth to remove any scratches from polished areas, a medium garryflex pad will restore the brushed look to a SS band.
  18. Welcome. I have only Asian versions, they are great value for money.
  19. I am looking to replace some of the crowns on my Rolex reps with OEM or genuine parts. It just occurred to me that they may not fit on the stem of the asian movements. Does anyone know about this? Cheers.
  20. I was wondering if there is an alternative? Thanks.
