  1. You're familiar with the correct use of the terms...The one that legitimate watch dealers use. I only wish that rep dealers complied with with these standards.
  2. Don't know of any rep dealers who use the term "synthetic sapphire" to mean synthetic sapphire. Among rep dealers, any mention of the work "synthetic" indicates a mineral glass crystal.
  3. Does the bezel on the rep have an insert? (Can't quite tell from your pictures.) Here is the gen:
  4. This is great news! We knew that they wouldn't release the 360 while the 026K was still selling...So maybe this means that the 360 will be announced soon!
  5. It's possible that the rep coating is even more scratch resistant than the gen: http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/message/1301931385/panerai+pam26+k+scratched+need+re+pvd Time will tell!
  6. I'm sure he's asking about the rumored H-factory version. It will probably come some time after the initial demand for he 026 dies down.
  7. Found this on youtube. For Panerai lugs, but I guess the technique would be the same for Rolex. It looks easy enough. Maybe I'll give it a try.
  8. SMC (Shanghai Movement Company) 28,800bph 25 jewel automatic
  9. On the other hand, their after sales service seems to be excellent. I contacted to DOXA USA to inquire about purchasing a replacement dial for a watch, and they sold me one at a very reasonable price. An incorrect dial was sent from Switzerland (for a similarly named watch). I contacted them, they sent the correct dial, and asked me to mail the wrong one back to the US address. How many other Swiss brands will let you buy replacement parts like that? Hell, how many rep dealers will let you buy parts?
  10. It also needs an A-F crown guard...Maybe Sead?
  11. Look what's on sale over at Gemnation tonight:
  12. It's just a different BTR series, with another dial configuration. Here's the stainless version: The auction example is just likely from a limited edition, targeted at the Asian market. Looking at the texture in these pictures, it definitely looks better than rep quality.
  13. Looks legit to me. I don't think it's a rep.
  14. ...I you're unhappy with that case, and you want to sell it, please let me know
  15. The recessed circle is too large on the DW. But I don't even think it's on the correct line. Look at how the entire circle centers on the side if the case on the DW (even though it's larger). Now look at the genuine case: The smaller circle is open at the bottom of the case. Clearly, the pushers are located in a lower position on the gen. From this, and Freddy333's other pictures above, it just looks like the DW case is too thick - Which is probably why the lugs appear so stubby.
  16. Something looks wrong with that case shape. The indentations for the pushers look like they're horizontally centered on the DW case. But on the genuine case, they are significantly biased towards the bottom of the case. Since the pushers sit higher on the DW, I'm wondering if the whole case is too thick.
  17. Wow!!! FGD, Avitt, LH, The Zigmeister, Jakob, T....The Best of the Best! That's like a Who's Who of modding!
  18. Thanks a lot for the explanation, Rolli I understand how the coatings can look different due to the lighting conditions in the photos. But certain watches, like the Blacksteel and the 360, clearly look like they have a lighter DLC coating in all of the pictures. Probably the only way to make a real comparison would be to take side by side pictures under the same lighting conditions. Looking forward to seeing your new carbon / tungsten coating, Rolli!
  19. That interior shot should serve to close any potential deals. Can't see how that would make anyone decide against this beautiful watch.
  20. Rolli, what kind of DLC is used on the Breitling Blacksteel? Is that tungsten? (That color seems to look more like the 360.)
  21. This is really nice looking Congratulations on the genuine crystal. Would you please provide a link to the rep model that you used as the basis for this project?
  22. Cool Do you have a section here with your PVD prices?
