  1. Thanks Pete.. we can always count on you to come through for us. And how does one get in touch with him... I tried searching for him but it came up blank Thanks again
  2. Are there any experts out there that can help us???
  3. Thanks for your input but I don't really understand your comparison to peanut allergies. It's not as if I hate the whole watch, just one small part of it. I love chocolate chip cookies and I really hate raisins but sometimes people sneak raisins in with the chocolate chips (for some ungodly reason, I suppose) but I will still eat them, I just don't love the cookies as much as I would if they weren't there. It's the same with the 359. I am not a fan of glass case backs on any watch. I have had two break on my wrists (and still have the scars to prove it), one in a motorcycle accident and one when a guy jumped me at an MMA tournament here in Taiwan. In regard to the 359, I don't understand why you'd want to display a movement that has so many tells. Having said all that, I love the 359 and unfortunately at the moment it is my only PAM. Actually, I have a few older, crappy reps from a trip to Thailand 7 years ago but the case backs are horrible. If you (or any other generous member) would like to send me some Pannies, I would be very appreciative. thanks again
  4. Beautiful I'll get in line behind you to buy one where did you see the original?
  5. Hi, I've searched for the answer but came up blank. What solid case back would fit the PAM359M V2? I know it's not supposed to have such a case back but I cringe every time I look at the movement. Thanks
  6. I don't know if it will ever be done, but I hope so since a lot of the watches I love use it.... hence my avatar!
  7. Sweet mother of pearl! That's gorgeous! Who, when, where??? I know why... 'cause it's gorgeous!
  8. Ha, gorgeous! I've been saving up for doing a DLC 359 project. Nice to see that it's such a nice combo. I like that strap a lot but I want to try it with one that matches the numeral color. Beautiful, wear it proudly!
  9. I like it! how long did it take from ordering to receiving it? Cost? Thanks
  10. Does anyone know if the recent flooding is going to affect the rep industry? Or are most of the factories situated safely in China? Either way my heart goes out to those people who are affected... The power of nature is incredible!
  11. Hi, I am just wondering if it's possible to get a rep of this model with the correct date wheel (grey/black on black), or if one can buy the date wheel and have it installed? I'm also wondering if anyone has tried to lume an All Black with a dark grey/black lume like this... http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/experiments-black-lume-263118.html Any info would be appreciated
  12. Great work! If you are offering this service, could you please PM me the details including pricing. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the info.. I'll look into it I wouldn't mind spending the money if I could get something good. Thanks again
  14. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Neither of those really do it for me... they just don't have the class of the original. And I don't really want to deal with someone who says their model comes with a "Realy Leather Band" HA! I'll keep looking thanks again
  15. Could be Wotancraft, those guys have a great little store just down the road from me here in Taipei. But usually they include their tag with orders.. mmmm http://www.wotancraft.com/home.htm
  16. Hi, my grandfather Oliver Philpot was one of the 3 men that escaped from Stalug Luft III using tunnels built under wooden exercise horses. For three months three prisoners, Lieutenant Michael Codner, Flight Lieutenant Eric Williams, and Flight Lieutenant, Oliver Philpot, in shifts of one or two diggers at a time, dug over 100 feet (30 m) of tunnel using bowls as shovels and metal rods to poke through the surface of the ground to create air holes. On the evening of October 29, 1943,Codner, Williams, and Philpot made their escape. I would like to commemorate his achievements by getting a replica of the Rolex watch that many British officers wore during WWII. I don't know for sure if he had the 3525 but there was a story that they used this model to time the guards as they did their rounds. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ian Here are some links http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Philpot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wooden_Horse
  17. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I noticed this from Trustytime and Perfect clones: Pam 104/237 Upgraded to Colourless AR / Free Colourless AR Crystal replacement for existing owners free but $35 for postage... overall it seems like a nice gesture, no?
  18. Very interesting and informative. Thank you for sharing, this is the kind of stuff that this forum is all about! Please forgive a n00b question but does double AR coating actually double the AR result? Or does the second coating just strengthen the result of the first coating? Does that make sense? Thanks agian
  19. Sweeeeeeeeeeet! Love the combo. Jose does some nice work. Was the strap a custom order, or is it a model on his blog?
  20. I totally agree with you too stormtrooper... well said, except for this.. the saying is; "to spite the face"
  21. Wow! That's a beaut! Where do I get me-self one of those?
