  1. It cracks me up that people think a Tag is a "good" watch. It disturbs me that they think it's a watch worth bragging about.
  2. You really need to be asking those questions BEFORE you buy it. Something tells me though, that you didn't buy a genuine one so you're not "out" so much money. Hopefully, it wasn't enough money that you'll suffer financially if it's a complete loss.
  3. This is just my opinion and based on my own observations but it sounds to me that you put a lot of thought into this. This indicates to me that you're not using "play money" to buy the rep. You need to be fully aware that while many of the reps available from recommended dealers are first rate, they're still reps. I own over 100 reps personally and I've experienced an acceptable percentage of FAIL watches. If these watches were gen though, it would be UNacceptable. Spend your money as you see fit but know what you're buying.
  4. With that particular rep, I'd say do as you please. The dial looks nothing like the gen so drilled lugs or not won't make a difference for fooling anyone if that is ever your goal.

  6. Be careful of the Streisand Effect from a post like this.
  7. The reps I wear are so good that I'm proud to tell peeps they're reps. Whether they're a fan of reps or not, their eyes always widen as they grab it for a closer look. The next question is usually, "where can I get one?"
  8. Get the aquaracer since that watch isn't available anywhere. Unless you're talking about buying a gen in which case get the daytona since the aquaracer is a POS (gen or rep).
  9. HAVE to? You don't do it by choice? WTF?
  10. Seriously... new user with 11 posts and complaining already? Spare me. Spare US.
  11. Wait a minute- which of those was $1500 and which was $3k? From what I know, those watches would fit more closely in a $600-$1500 range.
  12. Try googling "compulsive shopping disorder" and see if it applies to you. I'm not flaming you here just figured I'd let you do some research on your own and draw your own conclusions.
  13. You're not alone. Personally, I went through the same thing a few months ago. I wanted to buy something but of the 4 dealers' sites I regularly peruse, nobody had anything I wanted. Eventually, things turned around, new reps got made and so forth. Now, there are a few that I want but I'm not in a buying mode. Still, it's nice to know they're there if I want them. That's a much better feeling than wanting something that's not there.
  14. You know how the saying goes- buy the seller not the watch. The seller has already said that the watch is genuine. It's up to your friend to decide if he trusts the seller.
  15. Well, I can't believe they'd put that movement with this dial but here it is: It's described as a PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE SS AUTOMATIC WHITE 003 the dial is clearly silver, it's a manual wind movement and the page shows pics of a Patek ring too so it's possible that the pictures are all mixed up. I'd check with King before actually ordering it. Furthermore, the carving shown on that movement is leaps ahead of what I've seen on any rep movment costing $255. Either that's not the movement you'll get or chinese tech has advanced greatly. Also, it looks like a Unitas movement so you should expect the case to be at least 42mm. http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods.php?id=161
