  1. Thanks chrgod, yeah the Link is a gen too - I've had that about 3 years or so my first good watch. The Targa Florio I just got last month.
  2. Got my Submariner LV yesterday and the wife's Cartier Pasha (which I may steal from her on rare occasions to wear myself) so I decided to take a few shots of my collection (minus my Wenger Swiss Army quartz)
  3. I asked for a WatchTime subscription but nothing more than that watch related.
  4. yeah, mine had been restrung when I bought it, but it needs to have the action rebuilt very badly now which is going to set me back somewhere around $5K I think.
  5. Well I consider a grand a 9 foot Steinway D so I guess this is a baby It's about 6 feet long though.
  6. I've got some downtime today actually, maybe i'll setup the camcorder and tape something. I'm loving this LV though, haven't taken it off except to shower since I got it.
  7. My car mainly. I have a 1993 Mazda RX7 which i autocross and track. I also have a saltwater fishtank which takes up more money and time than it may be worth, but i like it I also play the piano, not as much as a should but I've been practicing more lately.
  8. Wish I had a place like that around here. I"d have to drive for hours to find a place that sold Tag Heuer, let along Breitling, or IWC. Forget about anything else.
  9. Very nice. I think i've settled on that for my next purchase, but I'll have to wait a while since i JUST got my LV Sub today. Who did you buy it from? Did it come modded or did you send it to The Zigmeister or someone?
  10. Wow, that's really good I only really play classical on the piano. I always wanted to learn how to play jazz piano, but never got around to finding a teacher or taking jazz piano classes. One of these days I'll video tape myself playing something.
  11. Received my "So-Called Perfect Sub" from Paul today, shipped last Tuesday. I had also ordered a NATO Style black strap from Maratak that arrived Friday, a few shots below with each strap. Learning a new piece so I thought I'd throw it up in front of the music I'm very happy with the watch although this is my first Sub so I don't really have much to compare it to. I can definitely see it getting a lot of wrist time though.
  12. Well, my 'so-called perfect' LV Sub from Paul arrived! No photoshoot yet, just a couple of quick wrist shots.
  13. I'm working from home this week so unless I leave the house (or until my LV Sub from Paul arrives) I'll be wearing my TAG Link Quartz.
  14. Thanks for the input. I was thinking about checking out the Chopard locally as well. I think i've pretty much decided on the 111H though - only thing I think that would stop me is that now i'm eyeballing the FM conquistador as well.
  15. I really want a JLC Reverso a Triptyque. Let me know when you find someone to rep that movement too
  16. I'm waiting on my 'perfect' LV sub from Paul now, can't wait. I'm not too interested in an all gold sub, but I would like a TT blue face sub. I wonder how long before the updates that have made it to the more main stream models make it to the two tones and all gold models.
  17. Ok, thanks for the info guys.
  18. a question on the 111 - I was looking at pictures of the display back on Panerai's website, and the movement doesn't have 'panerai' engraved on it 100s of times, it only has a single 'Officine Panerai" engravement - but if you look at pictures on Paneristi.com, it does have that. Which is correct? For instance the gen pic from panerai.com: Gen pic from Paneristi.com
  19. Very cool to singlehandedly be responsible for putting a company on the map like that.
  20. So many watches to choose from, having a hard time picking my next rep. Probably won't buy until after Christmas so I've got some time. I REALLY like the Panerai 111. I love the simplicity of it, and the new G series movement with the swan neck is gorgeous. The Omega PO would be the non chrono - just personal preference. Again, another watch I love the look of and is getting great reviews. The Chopard GT XL Mille Miglia I really like, but I'm hesitant to purchase so close to being newly released. The pictures of it look stunning though. Anyway, any input? I'm leaning towards the 111 right now - I don't even know why other than I just really like that watch. I also haven't picked out a dealer for my next purchase yet, so far i've purchased from Eddie, Paul (Perfect SUB LV en route) and most recently Narikaa (still waiting on that too but I just bought on Tuesday)
  21. i'm having the exact same issue with my Breitling GT. Right now it is set properly but once the end of February gets here, or if the watch winds down i won't be able to set the day/date. I'll probably send it to The Zigmeister for a full service and repair after christmas - need to spend money on other people right now. Transplanting a Swiss 7750 sounds like a good idea to me too though - I really like this watch and may consider doing that as well.
  22. I just ordered one from Reg for the wife. I'll post pics and a review after she gets it for Christmas gift (unless I can sneak pics and a review before wrapping it up)
  23. If only it wasn't Christmas shopping time. Maybe i can convince the wife i need a Panerai rep for my Birthday - I just need to decide which one I want to start my Pan collection with.
  24. Holy Jesus. Please tell me this is a joke.
  25. If you haven't voted for the following watches yet, please do. The front runners have 100 plus votes while some other watches only have 20ish votes.
