  1. I was browsing through the "skymall' catalog on the plane and came across a Tonneau Tourbillon watch for $400. I found their website (and in fact you can get the watch from Sharper image for $200) I'm wondering if this is a real tourbillon movement or one that just looks like one. Anyone ever seen one of these watches in person? http://www.wmswitzerland.com/en/product.asp?id=8# http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/...d/cm_ite__WM950 Oh wow, i just noticed that sharper image is throwing in a watch winder for free if you buy this.
  2. Recuperating from travel and a whirlwind tour of Napa over the weekend, so i'm sitting here in my sweats wearing my trusty Tag Heuer Link
  3. You'll get that for a couple of days, the system is really slow. Just try and be patient
  4. It's a shame it costs so much to put a 20B in.
  5. I wore the 88 (again) all weekend while the wife and I toured Napa Valley, and was I ever glad I wore this instead of the LV Sub. I counted at least 5 other guys wearing Subs - and not one Panerari.
  6. Wow, very cool! Thanks for the link.
  7. Interesting stuff. Do you have any pics of that PVD Gold Tissot?
  8. Decided to put on the LV Sub today
  9. Great shots, great watches. The 104 is on my list after a 111H
  10. Wow, the PVD is very slick. Excellent work!
  11. Still this:
  12. Nice car choice. the S2000 is a little impractical for daily work anyway.
  13. Well, I'm a newbie and don't know you, but welcome back. Sorry to hear about the brutal divorce, hope you at least got to keep the watches!
  14. I haven't been around the rep scene long enough to have seen many new releases, but I was thinking about this the other day with the upcoming Chopard Mille Miglia. I really like that watch, but I'm wary about buying a "1st gen" rep of it.
  15. haha, thanks. I just setup under a lamp and shot, although the last pic i set the camera on the table and used the timer on a low ISO. yeah, I hear you. It also doesn't help that i got here and the rental car agency wouldn't rent me a car because my driver's license expired on my birthday! Now i'm basically stuck in my hotel until my wife arrives on thursday and rents a car. Oh well, hitting Napa valley should make up for it It is actually a Toscana strap that came on a Ferrari Pam i bought from another forum member. I'm looking to get a carbon strap with blue stitching or a Cordova strap with blue stitching for it. I was at the bar earlier, but it was full of guys - and i'm married anyway so the best I can do is look
  16. even at 42mm, i just don't understand the draw to this watch. To each his own i guess.
  17. I took my watch off and the setting inspired me to pull out my camera and take a shoot a few shots. Sorry, I don't have any lightbox stuff here I absolutely love this watch. I brought my LV Sub with me and I haven't even worn it yet. I may wear it Thursday, we'll see Think my next rep will be a Pam 111h....and i'm already looking for my next Pam after that. Bug has bitten!
  18. hahah..I wish i could perform this same trick using Mrs. Section8
  19. Just got into my hotel and out of the shower here in california, been wearing my new PAM 088 all day, got quite a few looks in the airports
  20. Well your brother in law may not wear or know watches, but he has great taste!
  21. I actually got into replicas through another message board. Someone posted a link to what I now know to be a scam site with shoddy watches and it intrigued me. At the time I only had a gen Tag Link Quartz and a beater Swiss Army watch. The original scam site (can't even remember which site it was now) led me to start doing some research into replicas. I spent about 2 or 3 weeks off and on looking around before I stumbled across this site. I was amazed at what i was reading - that not only was there an entire community of people that loved watches - but people that collected replicas AND genuines alike. I started searching for a Tag Heuer Targa Florio replica (which i didn't know wasn't rep'd) and just started learning. I soon bought my first replica from Eddie Lee - a Breitling GT - and I've been hooked ever since. My thanks to everyone here for all the guidance and excellent information that is posted!
  22. Here's a quick wrist shot - I LOVE this watch! The Panerai Bug has bitten me quite hard - I can see my you guys buy so many of them!
  23. Today I'm wearing my newest arrival and my first *good* Panerai rep (just got a Ferrari Pam too, but that's not very accurate got it more for the novelty)
  24. Welcome to the board - you're doing it the right way by coming here first! As the others said, read read read and research before you buy something and stick the the dealers referenced on the forum.
  25. Well my faith is restored in the mail system, apparently express mail is guaranteed to be delivered - even on sunday! I just got the PAM and it's gorgeous! Now if only i wasn't doing chores around the house I'd have time to take pictures of it.
