  1. I'm replying to you about this, Peepshow, because the others who have been suggesting this might take it the wrong way.

I think it's ludicrous and insulting to cast aspersions about R11co being TTK.

The former has been a member here since the board first began. I'm sure the Mod Team would've looked their IPs up, and banned one or the other for duplicate accounts, if they were the same person. If not then, certainly now.

Can't people see that even a black sheep can have loyal friends?

Vic, I didn't imply that r11co wasn't a real person, I said it was possible that Neil was logging in with r11co's credentials since Neils acct is locked down. ;) Those are two very different things, no? If I had a best mate that I felt was wrongly banned, I would be tempted to login with my account and post "his side" of the story... Perhaps my morals are just a bit more flexible than the average Joe?

BTW, did you get my PM?

    Thanks!

  2. Peepshow,

I am one of the people that have an open point, about a watch, for more than 6 months, for different circustances. I a do not think he is a scammer.

Agreed, sam. I don't believe Neil is a scammer, either. However after months of waiting for a watch that was already paid for, I would be tempted to use the word. Let me be perfectly clear, I don't know of anyone out there that didn't eventually get their watch (maybe not the original watch ordered, but a watch, still) at some point. After months of waiting I would start to wonder, though....

  3. hey guys maybe he's wearing some watch like diesel, fossil etc. (he has a lot of clothing from diesel for example)

why y'all think that it should be at least $10.000 watch on his wrist?

Not at all. The price has nothing to do with my opinion on the matter. It simply figures that he's wearing a "fashion" brand watch, rather than a true watchmaking house, IMO. You can substitute Deisel, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, whatever.

Now a celebrity like Jay-Z that owns VC, JLC, Pateks and the like shows a REAL interest in fine timepieces, not just in watches as jewelry. Who woulda thought????? :o

  4. Don't worry Ken, he doesn't.

There are three likely possibilities here for r11co:

    1. He's one of Neil's cheerleaders and doesn't believe that TTK the Saint could ever do anything wrong.

    2. He's a mate of Neil's and KNOWS that Neil almost certainly has done exactly what the staff has said he's done, and is now trying to do damage control.

    3. It's Neil posting under a friends account and is attempting the damage control/spin himself.

Agreed 100% on the point above. Regardless of the fact that Neil hasn't done any of the things he threatened to do, it doesn't excuse making them.

  5. Well, as it's a fantasy watch, I wasn't really concerned with accuracy, surfer. ;)

I just wanted to make the distinction as I'm not sure the fitment of the low dome and hi dome (even in the same 37.2mm size) is the same. That was the only reason I bothered to state what I got.

  6. The indices on DSN's engraved dial are too thick, and the 2 is the wrong shape for the 036 or any A/B series PAM. You're just trading one set of flaws for another. Plus it only works if he fills the indices completely with lume like the gens. Not a coating of lume and then varnish filled like the Pre-A stuff...

  7. Yes, *acrylic* crystals are quite inexpensive. 37.2mm is the one you want. I had vaccum install my Sternkruez LOW DOME acrylic crystal and he said it fit better than any other one he's installed. Even so, you could still spin the crystal in the bezel after the install. vac offered to glue it, but since I wasn't worried about water resistance, I told him not to bother.

  8. This is the 44mm "mini-Fiddy" case, right?

They are far less prone to crystal problems from reports on the forums. I believe it did happen to 1 or 2 guys over at RWI, though. The sad news is that I don't think anyone offers a sapphire crystal for this watch. The happy news is that CousinsUK has domed acrylic crystals that fit this watch, so if yours breaks, you have options. ;)

If you're cool with it being a fantasy watch, there's not really much more to talk about with this one. It's a fine watch, IMO.

  9. Even with a swan neck, that movement is wrong for your 219, sorry.

The blue star on one of the wheels has no business being there. The bridges are the wrong shape AND wrong decoration.

Rep movements are dead giveaways at any rate, to people who would know the differences between A-D, E-G and H-present movement decorations. ;)
