  1. It's something i've seen on the available reps from lineups such as the TH Aquaracer series or the Longines Hydroconquest series where A7750 chronos dominate. Both the gen TH-AR and LCH lineup includes a wide range of three handed watches some of them beautiful. Look at the available HC lineup ALL OF THEM ARE CHRONOS, why do they do this? why can't they have at least the black dialed three handed AR or HC? (not the AR500) I would gladly pick up a three handed HC. I just remembered that the Montblanc Sport Chrono only comes repped as Chrono too.
  2. The servicing-repair of the reps is the biggest drawback to this hobby. You end up (like me) with a very beautiful but broken watch that has to be taken almost to "underground" ways to get fixed. It is indeed an annoying thing and it is the major reason why i haven't spent more money on reps an also interesting issue is the fact that most "factories" like to make 7750 versions of the watches (not sure why). I'm coming to the conclusion that a lot of reps are like "dumb blondes" = beautiful on the outside but nothing on the inside. My two cents PS: Oh before i forget i also conclude that those "QC" things that the dealers do is basically a cosmetic check on the looks of the watch. Why? because TT "QC'D" my watch and it fell apart on my wrist after a week of wearing it. I'm currently thinking hard if i should get another Rep, these reps are like mermaids definitely.
  3. The dial looks good actually, of course it's missing the coax wording, but, what the heck is going on with those crowns? Is the He valve open? it looks huge!. the regular crown looks big also, but not as out of place as the fart valve.
  4. Is there a new 42mm PO? I've seen one on Connie's site and it looks like it has the anti-counterfeit laser engraving on the caseback, no happy feet and looks like a better hipocampus on the caseback. Am i correct or is it a new model?
  5. What about King watches? or Replikamake?
  6. I think that the 111 is very popular around the boards, was just looking at them and they get a 5 star rating on Puretime's site (with the rubber band) and it gets 4 stars with the bracelet, anybody know why? MM
  7. Oh man! great news, even though Tissot makes some nice watches there range is all over the place, they're like the swiss Citizens. TH will without a doubt make a better product.
  8. Thanks for the reply JC, i went to the Citizen repair place to see if they had those stupid hex bolts and they said that they didn't have the tools needed for the job. The repairt tech guy said that the "volante" was broken. I'm sure he's just making sh*t up. They probably have never seen an auto chrono -it was funny to watch the citizen guys handle the Rep BM Riviera like it was worth thousands of dollars. they even gave me a little Citizen baggie to carry it out. I'm thinking of sending it to the Zeigmesites for a full service regardless of my issue with the rotor, there is also a guy on RWI that services chronos, goes by a seriously weird screen name something like "1440 or 1660". I'm gonna check on the bay or amazon for mini, mini hex bolts. Oh well, life goes on.....
  9. Hey! Looks like you have the same problem as i do with my BM. Lucky for me that the BM has a see through case back so i was able to see the rotor floating around inside the watch. Are you thinking of sending it back? what if you have to wait for weeks and weeks only to receive another watch with a loose rotor?. I'm gonna have mine fixed locally and the i'm gonna have it serviced. My thread is on the general discussion sub forum. Take care! Paco
  10. GET OUT! I just pushed you like Elaine did on Seinfeld. I'm residing in the capital Tegus, i'll see if i can find this place "Helvetia", thanks soooooo much Cyborgman! Send me a PM when you're here, we'll have "pupusas and baleadas". Take care! Paco
  11. Thanks for your support guys! It does seem like a minor issue i would have tackled myself, i'm a dentist so i i'm good with working with little things, unfortunately i bought a BM RIVIERA with stupid miniature hex-screws instead of a normal caseback. My wife an I are doing some work in a small country in Central America called Honduras but will be moving back to Washington this summer. I'm gonna try and have the rotor re-attached locally and then i'm thinking of sending it to someone for a full service and water pressure test. The watch is beautiful, it looks just like the real thing, it's is just a little sad to feel the thing coming apart on your wrist. I'm gonna keep you posted guys!. If someone can recommend a repair guy i would appreciate it. FxrAndy, do you work on chronos? Thanks guys! Paco
  12. Hi guys!I recently took delivey of my first rep and it looks gorgeous, unfortunately i noticed yesterday after leaving the movie theater that something sounded "funny" inside the case.I realized that the oscillating mass that winds the watch is dinking around (unattached obviously) inside the case.I'm attaching some pictures and my question is what should i do about it? is this normal?I mean, the dealers say the QC the watches, so how are we to know if we're getting healthy movements?I dunno, a little help here?My linkMy link
  13. Thanks a lot Nikki! I once tried the gen Ebel and it wore very thin compared to other 7750 chronos, on most dealers listing it's decribed at 15 whereas on the gen listing it's reported at 13mm. Another question, do the pushers and crown screw down? i see that it looks like they do on the rep, but i´m not sure. PS: Loved your bass intro to Primal Scream Nikki, congrats! : )
  14. Thanks a lot Tomhorn! Would you recommend it? I'm torn between this Ebel, the TH Carrera day-date (white) and the Montblanc Sport Steel (also white).
  15. Is the Ebel a silver dial or white dial, i always thought of it having a white dial, but Puretime lists it as "silver", then went to Ebel's site and they also describe it as "silver". Thanks Paco
  16. Greetings guys! I'm interested in this particular model of the BCE chrono, stick markers, gray dial and gray subdials. I've looked around on several forums and can't find pics or info about them. Only Perfect Clones carries them. Here's a link http://www.1-pc8838.com/bl10076-chronomat-evolution-ssss-grey-a7750-28800-p-6661.html What do you guys think about it? Seen one in the wild? Many thanks in advance Paco
  17. Thanks for the info Dave, that's what i thought. Cheers! Paco
  18. Well, i guess i stepped on too many estrogen buttons with a simple question.
  19. Hey guys! The Galactic is probably my favorite Breitling and i wonder, oh, i wonder why no one has reproduced this magnificent piece. The big date perhaps? Anybody know anything? Thanks merry men : ) Paco
  20. Congrats on feeling much better man! I don't even know you, but i feel like thanking you for all your hard work, don't feel bad fot your loss. After all, you put a lot of effort on that case. If anything i'd understand if you felt bad because you neglected your patient. I'm a health care provider myself and i feel bad when i don't put my 100% effort in a patient. when i try and things fail i try not to feel bad. Take care!
  21. Well, if he sent it to Breitling Canada, surely its not a fake.
  22. Thanks for the info Jkay, so if you get the He valve from OFREI, then the incorrect height of the valve would be fixed? AM i wrong?
