  1. If you just got it, ask the TD if he will take it back. I wouldn't use the chrono function if the watch hasn't been serviced by a professional watchmaker. Take a picture so we can all see the problem.
  2. It's hard to tell, but looks like they where trying to rep the newest model with the pin stripped dial. http://www.authenticwatches.com/tag-heuer-link-cat2010-ba0952.html
  3. I really like the black model, really nice.
  4. The Riviera is spot on too. http://www.marvellou...l.php?ProId=101 Here's a review by forum member Pix
  5. It's a Baume et Mercier Riviera with a A7750 chrono (the only rep i have lol) The crown is righ there in the picture. I think that i need to pull up the sleeve in the stem (the one that covers the little spring) and glue it back to the other half of the crown (past the threads of course). What do you think? Thanks in advance
  6. Hello there! I was setting the time on my rep when the crown just came off from the stem. What on earth just happened here? Is there an easy fix to this? thanks for the heads up guys. http://
  7. Congratulations J!! It is a really niece piece, is this the model with the fully decorated movement? (looks way better without cyclops).
  8. For dressy: Carrera Chrono Racing (red seconds hour) or the Silver version http://www.marvellousreplica.com/products_detail.php?ProId=1119
  9. I thought that the dial was spot on. What flaws you taking about Willis?
  10. Im not sure wy you are sort of making this personal. I may be a novice with fake watches but i have a lot of experience wth normal watches. I got what i paid for. And im entitled to an opinion unless a Mod says so.My advice for the OP would be to have any chinese 7750 replaced with a regular 7750. And for you Plaifander i suggest you have your brain serviced because it looks you got the "A" version too.
  11. So sorry to hear you lost a good amoun of money and time and in your transaction. Don`t loose your enthusiams for watches though. Maybe have a look at local service centers and figure out what you can get fixed localy. I have a Seiko-Citizen repair center close by and lately im liking some o their models a lot. Take care man
  12. The Tag has a column wheel movement and a display back, i don't think that can be replicated. Of, i forgot i think it is 100M WR also.
  13. ETA 7750: a.- Sure you can hand wind it, no problem. b.- The rotor or oscilating mass will spin both ways but WILL ONLY wind the mainspring whilst moving in one direction. Asian clone 7750 a.- It's not a good thing to hand wind it because of IT MIGHT cause problems, like fellow member/watch repairer Offshore said "The A7750 are like hand grenades". b.- The rotor or oscilating mass will spin both ways but will only wind the mainspring whilst moving in one direction.
  14. So what do you do when this movement craps out on you?
  15. Love the big crown on that Kingston, congrats!

  17. Off topic, but you know what would be awesome for reps? Precisionist movements from Bu-Citizen! we'd have the smooth sweeping hand, great accuracy, less maintenance problems and good prices. .......that would be sweet......

  19. There is really nothing wrong with a V7750 it is a good reliable movement. Now, the Chinese clone version of it is IMHO-IMHO a POS, why? 1.- First, an intrinsic problem: As our reps are ilegal counterfeit items, there is really no quality control, no assembly line, no watchmakers hard at work wearing lab coats so some movements come with detritus, metal filings and random stuff inside, in this post the Zeigmeister puts it clearly: http://www.rwgforum.com/topic/77693-how-does-a-7750-chronograph-work-part-1/ 2.- Second, an extrinsic problem: Because of their nature a broken A7750 (not a V7750) becomes a PITA because you just can go to "any trusted watchmaker" to have it fixed, it's a complex movement with several pieces and there aren't that many good watchmakers that will provide a good service to a regular V7750, let alone an A770 cased into an ilegal item. 3.- Why do i personally conclude that the A7750 is a POS? a.- No good qc from "the factories". b.- Servicing/repairs/spare part problems, it's not like you can readily ship your A7750 piece to "Noobfactory Service Center. Guangzhou. Guangdong. PRC" c.- I had one that stoped working within 5 days of delivery. **** this is merely my opinion, your mileage may vary***** Paco
  20. Wrist shot? That thing is massive, looks like a transformer
  21. They're more focused on PAMS and Big Bangs
  22. I'm sorry, i was typing very quickly this morning, i think i'm developing some sort of OCD over rep watches : ( 1.- Three handed = hours, minutes, seconds http://www.authentic...-l36424566.html http://www.authentic...viera-8778.html http://www.authentic...111-ba0822.html http://www.authentic...ort-102360.html http://www.authentic...01a-ba0591.html The factories don't make them -maybe cuz they're more affordable-. 2.- Same watches as chronos with POS A7750 http://www.authentic...-l36444566.html http://www.authentic...s.com/8594.html http://www.authentic...010-ba0815.html http://www.authentic...11a-ba0594.html These are waiting to be purchased from the "QC Master dealers". 3.- My point: IT'S A SHAME THE FACTORIES MAKE ONLY CHRONO MODELS OF SOME VERY NICE SIMPLER WATCHES. PS: Who or what was Eurotimes?
