  1. Well, I managed to trim the stem to the correct length. I was able to wind the watch, move the hands back and forth, change the date (it felt a little "dry" at first). And guess what? the watch is not moving!!!!! the balance wheel is frozen. Any ideas on what could be wrong? could it be "stuck"?. I can set the date and time via the crown it's just not moving on it's own. WEIRD. Thanks in advance!
  2. Looks like the love child of a Carrera day-date and a Chopard Mile Miglia.
  3. I think that the new Omega PO has the double barrel co-axial 9500 movement which can be seen through the sapphire caseback. I'm not sure how the repmakers are going to mimic this. I'm not saying that they can't, just curious...
  4. I was gonna send it to my expert watchmaker in Texas for another 6 month run. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii44/eat2824/LeatherFace.jpg]http://
  5. Well I finally got my replacement crown and stem from China but it came like this: http:// How do I get that little plastic "nub" from the stem? should I twist it, pull it, melt it or what?. Thanks KV
  6. I don't think there is a similar chinese movement available. But it is indeed a nice piece. Good choice Andy. Speaking of movements, isn't it weird that the A7753 is not more widely used by the rep factories?.
  7. Meh, that's nothing. I once sent a watch to a rep-friendly watch guy in Texas and he had it for six months. Once i got it back, it worked for a month and then died on me again.
  8. I think that if you really appreciate your piece you should send it to a good watchmaker. I'm also in Washington state I'll send you a PM with my recommendations.
  9. Excelent advice!, now, why would you open it? To regrease the seal?
  10. You are the the SOH authority Krpster! I will wait for your update.
  11. 1.- What's a "rhodium plate"? a gen dial? 2.- This is a "V4" right? how many clicks on the bezel? Great work and great write up! Congrats
  12. Thanks for the info Adreww, will be getting one of these soon then. How are the SOH that the dealers are carrying nowadays?
  13. Interesting, so this version would theoratically be better than the previous one with the A7750? Looks promising, I've been looking for a ST-19 based piece for a while.
  14. The SOH on mesh is IMHO one of the nicest looking designs out there. It's a shame that the "factories" haven't been able to duplicate the Breitiling mesh bracelet.
  15. From what i remember the "better version" had a 120 click rotating bezel just like the gen. Also, the datewheel has a different style of font on it.
  16. Is there a mesh bracelet available for these?
  17. Awesome! I once had a rep sent in for service and had to wait six months for it to return. Then it worked for a month before breaking again. Should've had the Mesiter work on it, oh well, you live and learn i guess. Congrats on the awesome SOH!!
  18. I believe you. I haven't even seen the quartz version on any sellers site. I wouldn't mind a quartz Daytona either, are those available?
  19. Congrats Jkay, i hope he likes it a lot!!
  20. I think that it might look good on mesh
  21. Let me be the first to congratulate you on a really nice piece!! Any problems with the day-date mechanism?
  22. The caseback should be open too.
