  1. OK guys lets put it this way.....all this talk about 100% is like running in circles. These are reps and there have to be flaws....yes, the screws could have been better, no, the datewindow cannot be placed nearer to the center. Read this...my compare-story from last year: My link
  2. What a shame...the only AP ROO I cannot warm my heart for. Anyway, thanks for posting it and enjoy the watch. Theo BTW....the gen SURVIVOR rubber-strap is said to be the most comfortable rubber strap AP ever did, many collectors order the Survivor-rubber aand put it on their standard Offshore due to comfort of the rubber and buckle (and the more wider tapered ends).
  3. You will NOT find this model with sec@12....this was only done by MBW as sec@9. There are some members (2-3) that had this watch done as a Franken...they paid a fortune for parts and mods....but rare like hense teeth. I do have the never-case model (as your pic shows) and the old-style-case model....only 5 have ever been made in the rep-world Cheers Theo For me its the most georgeous dial AP ever made and MBW did a great job to replicate the color of the dial and the texture....from different angles and lights the dial shows all shade of blue to grey...wonderful. Here is a pic of my Old-School-MBW
  4. My wrist is just a 6.7".....but I can handle the SABS
  5. Dear All, sunny outside and snow (did we have that scenary earlier ? ) so I decided to shoot some quick pics of my new Super Avenger Black Steel. The watch is impressive, I used to have the Skyland Black Steel before (V2) and sold it due to its size...allthough 45mm the Skyland wears smaller in Black Steel version....same as here....I had the gen Super Avenger when it first came out over 5 years ago and that ss thing was massive. But this Black version just looks smaller allthough equal in size. Please enjoy the pics of the watch on a San Dave double-row Monster Hornback strap...uuuaahhhhh Theo
  6. Thanks mate.....yeah we talked about that and there have been many updates on the casebacks recently, unfortunately the Rhone Fusterie was never updated, it still shows the silly 001/500 limitation and the TACHYMETER scala instead of the BASE scala. If this piece can be offered for a good discounted price I would close both eyes and jump on that train....if not discounted...they can keep it in the watch-cellars. EDIT: got a reply from a known dealer, she stated that this watch is not upgated yet and still has the bloody 001/500 caseback and Tachy....and the price is still equal to the other ROO
  7. Dear members, reacently my interest in more colorful watches is growing....as an AP geek I am now looking for the AP ROO Rhone Fusterie, the special edieztion for the Boutique. Does anyome own this piece, experiences please and WHO WILL SELL IT TO ME?????? Just asking....show me your pics, Theo
  8. I got a reply from GETAT watches on this weekend, after my payment I got another one to confirm my order...will take about 8 days to be build and another lets say 10 days to be shipped...looking forward to it. I
  9. Waiting is sooo hard....just asked my deale this weekend about the Ploprof.....what did I expect? I knew the answer: "no info yet Sir." That can mean anything from tomorrow to next year! WAITING........ shouting, praying, paying. Theo
  10. You are welcome mate....anytime. Theo
  11. Bringing this thread back to life. Just ordered a 46mm Pilot watch with the new grey dial and a PVD movement, asked for their new handmade charcoal strap as well. Lets see how GETAT reacts and how communication will be. Theo
  12. I actually love the Platinum version of the F-1.....nice dial and nice focus on details. I fear we have to give the factories a full year before we see those pieces here. Theo
  13. HaHa...this is uncool. I could have lived with a "Don Jamon De La Cruz" or a "Don Balon De La Cruz" This priceless......unless you fire 600$ anyway. Theo
  14. Dear members, as of late some of you asked for the size of a ROO....well, there are basicly 2 sizes... 1) the standard ROO with all its models like Themes, Volcano, EoD, Las Vegas, BBB, RB2....and 2) the non-standard, super huge T3 and Shaquille O´Neill I was able to meassure 1) , a black Themes with a digital caliper....see the pics and sizes below. TAKE NOTE: allthough the ROO is just 42mm in diameter it wears as big as a PANERAI. The watch will wear even bigger if you have it on bracelet rather than on a strap. All black versions wear smaller than their ss conterparts (i.e. EoD, Las Vegas, BB, SURVIVOR)...this is just due to the black color and happens with all black coated watches (I remember how shocked I was unwrapping my "tiny" 44mm IWC TopGun ceramic ) 2) these puppies are monsters, I thought hey 47mm I am used to wear (most of my PAnnies, Breitlings, Hublot King Power...), but no way, I was so wrong. Allthough I love big watches, the T3 or Shaq LE with both 47mm in size are way too big for my 6.5" wrist...they just look wrong sitting ON my wrist like a spider waiting for a victim. Anyway, the standard ROO wears bigger than 42mm, but if you are used to PANERAI, you will pull a ROO off....and don´t forget that a ROO is completely different in looks with an inner Tachy (rehaut) and a thick outer bezel and those hex-screws. Hope this helps peeps to decide.....my love is AP and my old love was OP, so I might be biased. Cheers mates, Theo P.S.: the black Themes pictured is the real deal
  15. But you have to be very careful when un-screwing....it is tiny and it needs pressure and a good screwdriver, those screws get stripped easely....so un-screw it, push the pin out of the strap, ready. Theo
  16. Dear All, he cannot tell who the dealer is....c´mon, imagine yourself in his position....you would firstly try to resolve everything with the dealer. Mmmh, but secondly; why did he post this at all if he did not talk to his dealer first. My opinion; I would try to solve this issue in communicating with the dealer....when he will not react as he should (send a new bracelet and a new caseback-screw express) than I would gather opinions here on the board....and then I would also disclose the dealers name itself.....if its stated QC in his webshop....well, this is clearly no QC. Anyway, if he is one of our big guys he will resolve your issues. Theo BTW: what kind of ROO is that for 600$ ????
  17. Great review.....the differences are minor but I own both watches as well and find the MBW in finish nearer to the real deal. For that wrong caseback on your MBW....you got a PM to solve this flaw. Theo
  18. Lani ma man.... as allways when I see your name in the topic, I go down in the kitchen to get myself a cappuccino, sit down, relax and enjoy a great read in this morning hours Thx for a detailed review with nice pics and answers to all those Q´s that might come to my mind. Allthough I do have the SBS allready, I am concidering this bigger brotha from da same motha as well. Just a last question regarding strapping....is this SABS 24mm? Need to know if I have to contact Aaron for a nice handjob (bloody european humor). Best regards mate and have a good start in 2010..... Theo P.S.: Do you know any release dates of the PloProf?
  19. I ordered the black dialed version cause the white one is TOO white....and on top of it, I think the wrong sub-dial spacing is more evident on the white than on the black one....the bronze dial is all wrong color as well. But anyway, this is a nice piece and I am looking forward to receive mine. Theo
  20. Just to add some more oil in the flames.....for nearly 700 and supposed 1:1....I would like to get a near 100% correct watch, why did they buy a gen and still don´t get it correct with all the small details....look at the date fonts, the numbers are still wrong. Lets wait for updates or other ROO´s to come out, this one did not make my day! Theo BTW: how did they do the closing mechanism of the pusher-guards?....magnetic, spring-loaded, ....??
  21. I am the AP guy and I nearly love all of AP´s creations.....I like the SURVIVOR....but hey, nearly 700 USD is out of this world and not for mw....I keep back from this piece, price is ridiculus! Theo
  22. As my son shares the same name I know what that is Theo
  23. Cannot see the beginning....cannot see whats on the right side....hope this clears soon. Honestly; this pain while typing brought me back to another known board Theo
