Dear All, I was a bit bored yesterday so I decided to build myself a new strap....the outcome was a racer-hornback with red stitch (started as a standard rep-hornback with white stitch). Enjoy, Theo
-
Great watch.....please take care when wearing in bright sunlight....my white rubberclad numbers faded to a greyish-green already. Cheers Theo
-
As soimone mentioned before there are many mesh bracelets on the Bay from similar quality.....they are not like the PloProf bracelet but a mesh anyway. I read that O Frei isd selling gen Omega mesh
-
That was exactly my info....some months....so I already ordered the current version....and will get it delivered mid next week if customs office is good to me! Theo
-
Thats a nice environment for a ROO Theo
-
Hey M. looks cool...the right strap for summer time. If only the factories will update the clasp and get rid off the bloody pin-holes! The MBW deployant was far more accurate without pin-holes and the correct engravings inside! Cheers Theo

Who wants to sell me his SURVIVOR????????
-
@ LIGAAF.....any news on your newly purchased T3???? Theo
-
The gen PloProf has an indipenditely adjustable hour-hand to adjust the watch to different time-zones without moving the minute hand. The rep does not have this feature....not a big deal though. Theo
-
Thats the strap that is supplied with the SURVIVOR package (the gen of course). We need to ask our dealers for the SURVIVOR rubber strap and tang-buckle combo....they can make additional money with it! Just my 0.02$ Theo
-
If I get mine I will put on a 24mm (4.2mm thick) mesh bracelet on it....I ordered an orange rubber race strap as well, just for fun. Theo
-
Blessed are those who can read.....its non functional. Theo P.S.: I will test a milanese bracelet to this baby once it hits my doorsteps.

Wow...thanks for sharing: How long did the shipping take? (whats your country?) Theo
-
Thanks for your first-hand pics and first impressions. I still like the watch and I am happy that the bezel will be black/white and not grey-ish like the dealers pic show it. Mine has been shipped yestarday so it will take some time to arrive (I hope for mid next week). Cheers and lets see some more pics, Theo

What the heck, lets build a one of a kind franken.
MADRED7 replied to sander's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
I really do like it....great work there. It sounds you just decided on the weekend "lets build a Franken" and just did it. But I know it was way more work than we can imagine. Congrats If you have any chance, try to put that dial/tachy in the old-style case....I have a wonderful NOS original AP ROO red calf strap that was delivered with that gen AP some years ago and matches the dial perfectly. Cheers Theo -
The colors offert by APBAnds for the rubber straps are: black, blue, grey, yellow, white, red and orange. It is the easiest fit of all their straps! Theo

I for myself am sooo tempted by the newly updated T3 in Titanium.....I just cannot get along and pull the trigger cause there are several others floating around in my mind.....MASATO, GSTAAD and the grey Themse. Hope you will make a decission....cheers mate. Theo P.S.: Maciek...you do need the new PloProf...a Must-have to wear at your pool-side

Dear All, rainy day here so I decided to do a ranin-shoot with my white Themes that just came back from the Domi-Spa last week. Waterproofed and refinished...attached the grey APBands rubber strap (excellent quality). As you can see the numbers had been lume-green but after some days in exposed and extreme sunlight (the last weeks) the numbers turned out to be burned/baked to a greyish-green color....amazingly they now match wonderful to the grey color of the rubber strap. Also attached a picture of my silver Themes in concrete....this watch wears a smoke-grey APBAnds rubber strap....much darker than the grey one but lighter than a standard black color....this rubber color matches the numbers as well as they are dark-grey on that model. Enjoy my pics...cheers Theo

This is the same version.....its the same factory.....has got the same flaws..... Theo P.S.: I don
-
That was stated on RG forum! Theo
-
So here are the flaws that we can see just from the pics: - Omega logo has happy feet - dial lume looks more green than blue - bezel numbers and bezel itself appears more grey than white/black - bezel numbers are too thinn - the deployant buckle engraving is not deep/crisp enough Will this turn me off buying it? Nah But the information that this is the lite-version and there will be a 1:1 version soon stops me from buying this. Allthough the price is very nice. Makes me think again, Theo P.S.: Who knows the lug-size?
-
Arrrrgh....I am still checking my dealers homepage every day twice IF the PloProf shows up! I have several other watches in mind but promised myself to wait with my next purchase on this diver. Now I can only hope that the Omega will be a hit.....near 1:1, around 99%, gen-like, brother-from-another-mother, Franken-like.....and the price tag will be high this time with all the hype and fuss we celebrate here over a watch that has not yet showed up as a version V1 Cheers and waiting, Theo

The size of the T3 rep seems to be correct.....what I need to know is what the crystal is looking like? Will the crystal have the same lupe-(lense-)-effect as the gen? That was the only bummer when I saw (and touched, wristed) the gen T3 last year! Theo
-
Noel....is that a stock-model you are sporting or did you get a re-finished dial (numbers look quite good, dark)??! Thanks for letting me know, Theo
