Personal View on Hublot F1 King Power Chrono
MADRED7 replied to Watcheden's topic in Other Brands Area
Sorry guys....but I like the rep version of the original 1st one....ss case and black dial....I know its a crappy piece but I do like the watch in total and as I am not the guy who passes his fakes as real deal...I don -
Not for me....even if the coating, the CG, the lever, the hands, the fonts, the crown, the caseback would be updated We are mad about reps but not mad! Theo
-
I stick with PeteM....maybe for a different reason: this is a community and remembering watch....I would feel bad to wear a rep of this special piece, it does not "feel" right! Just my 0.02$.....and the outcome is a bad one. Theo

Fleebay and some AP boards are your friends,,,,will take some time but its worth it! Theo

Welcome to the board. Search-function is to be found at the top right corner. For a change from bracelet to strap on your MBW Jumbo you will need a "conversion-kit"....the 4 endlinks that will hold the strap to the case. I am unsure if MBW ever sold these parts??!! Anyway, you can try the dealers from this page...buy a leather-strap-endlinks-kit (chinese version, might be around 100$) so you will have the endlinks and a decend deploymant clasp (forget the strap from them)....than buy a strap from APBands straps from the web. You can also try to purchase everything from APBands straps but I fear their endlinks will cost a fortune (around 350 USD). Have fun here, Theo

First: welcome to the board No need to spend this high amount. Have a look around on this forum and you will find the right dealers to sell the latest Jumbo. Theo

Hey Sander....AP ROO maniac I am, I am very interested in one of your budget models with the blue Clous de Paris dial. Have a MBW with this dial and love it.....would also love the old-style case. Anyway, go ahead with your project and determine a sales price....I stand waiting! Theo
-
OK I get it. ANSWER: why not, if you are more into blue! There are always some peeps out there looking for a good MBW....but you should better sell it and buy a new NAVY cause I doubt you

There is a little clutch that holds back the 12 hour hand from running permanetly....this clutch had slipped! Your watch needs a quick visit to any good watchmaker, no big deal. Theo

AP Diver Rep, when it will be available?

I have a lot of AP ROO straps and I like to name the suppliers I got straps from in my personal order: 1) gen (hehehe....sometimes they pop-up on fleebay) 2) APbands straps...very nice straps, large stock with different leathers, colors styles....worth the price (fit sec@12) 3) HKTan...is doing custom orders, his leather is the very best I came accross when it comes to hornback straps....only downer is the attechement to the case, not exactly cutted holes for the endlinks and you need to fiddle a bit to attache them 4) SIMONA straps...they come with endlinks/plots already attached to the strap, very nice crocs, especially those where the endlinks are covered with the same leather, cool look, a bit pricey though. 5) MBK hornback straps....near to those from Aaron, but too pricey for what they offer 6) the rep straps....and there are major difference between rubber, leather (calf) and hornback (faux croc) Make your choice....cheers Theo

Well....the black version is completely wrong, the gen is called F1 MONZA, but has a different look. The only one that comes anywhere near the F1 is the ss version with all black dial, allthough: - dial is not good - bezel drilling holes at

Sorry mate but you will have no luck....I tried all my dealers and they all respond the same: "no single parts available beside the strap!" Theo

...good to hear....and now try to mount the strap the other way around like I explained above, this will also help to make it more comfortable. Theo ...good to hear....and now try to mount the strap the other way around like I explained above, this will also help to make it more comfortable. Theo

Wonderful, great job on the case...looks really worn out like it should! Theo

The pic shows the strap mounted like the AP factory will do it. Many owners (gens and reps) and me as well, we just mount the strap the other way around (long strap part at 12, short part at 6) That way it should no longer dig in your wrist! Theo P.S.: take care while bending....just a little bit of pressure and it just needs to move a fraction!!!
-
-
OK...this is the one with easy fix. You just need to bend one of the 2 folding parts of the clasp (one of the AP parts)...just look carefully how the clasp closes....2 little teeth (on the left side part of the foldings in your pic) grapping on the edges of the other part (right side in your pic). Bending it with the curve will tighten it up, bending it against the curve will loosen it again. Theo

We need to know what kind of deployment clasp you got: - the one that comes with ROO

AP Newbie looking for some major help please
MADRED7 replied to ozz's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Hey Austin, welcome to the board....you will see and learn a lot here. Now to your questions....well, to put it easy: NO CHANCE! Here are the reasons: - this dial was never produced in white...only MBW reps came with that stick-marker dial in black and blue/grey. - there has never been a gold-plated bracelet The closest you will get....go for a gold plated ROO like the "Pride of Mexico" or "Don Ramon De La Cruz" and add a stainless steel bracelet. The gold-plating is done with PVD process, so it will last for a long time....have the ss bracelet coated the same way (better have watch-head AND bracelet coated in the same color). This will get you a nice result....you will never reach the weight of a full gold ROO (around 750 gramm) but the ss ROO
