New AP Model: Royal Oak Offshore Jarno Trulli Chronograph
MADRED7 replied to Jon Martin's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
loooks kind of nice....especially the new material for the bezels is an improvement...no more scratches! Lets wait and see how the rep-factories will follow up.....there will be new AP -
Work was done by a local "coating-company"....they do sandblasting, microblasting, beadblasting and many sorts of coatings...especially for motocycles and cars. Cheers Theo

The pic looks like the stem broke directly inside the crown....it will be hard to remove the broken stem from the crown. You should ask your dealer for a new crown and stem...just in case. If your watchsmith can

Very nice watch and the dial looks really great. Wear it well... Theo

Tritium will always glow if just aged.....only when the clear lume coating gets burned by the sun, the glow will fade....DSN models imitate that fact very well! The Submersible bezels from A-series should turn in both direction, thats correct! Theo

No real wobbling around...but its not that tight like in a gen....but has got the 5-minutes rachet. Cool in my books... Theo

Hi Sander, this is the new and updated 6mm cyclops....but it is still a fraction of mm too far to the center! Anyway, it does not bother me. Now I need to wear this baby for some weeks 24/7 to get some nice patina, wear, scratches to the watch to match an A-series look perfectly Theo BTW: I love your ROO

Dear All, last weekend I got my new DSN PAM0025A...the Titanium Submersible A-series. Wonderful watch, I love the darker Titanium case, the paris-hobnail-dial is perfect and the tritium colored numbers / indizees are just gorgeus. I attached a SanDave greyish-brown vintage ammo strap and the look is complete. Congrats to Davidsens...he did a great job!!! Some quick pics for your pleasure, Theo

Looks good and I hope the old sharky is still able to swim Theo

Try the dealers on this board....the latest titanium sec@12 version of the T3 is the best you can get, all our dealers carry it. Theo
-
Very nice job....the plexi looks superb. Can we have more pics please???? Theo
-
It looks really weird. But if you sand down the top of the bracelet to get ridd of the rounded parts....could work. Theo
-
Yeah, the 2nd strap is really nice and would look the [censored] on my watch. Theo
-
The pic shows a sec@9.....the finish of the watch and the date-window (although hidden) made me conclude this is MBW. @PowerShot: was it sold to you as MBW??? Theo
-
Sorry we cannot get together....but Western Union is no real payment option in my books. Theo P.S.: wish you luck in finding a new dial!
-
MBW has been the only factory doing sec@9 (in that quality your pic shows....look at the lovely space between the date and the rehaut, way better than sec@12)...the movement is much more reliable, the fit and finish of their ROO´s is amazingly excellent....but the parts from sec@12 models are not interchangable. I had 8 MBW ROO´s some time back....and I still have some of them (and would never sell them!) so I have some spare parts that became rare like hens teeth today. Cheers, Theo
-
If the picture shows the watch you got, than you will have a problem with the dealers strap-set....it will not fit!!! You bought an MBW sec@9 and the shape and fit of these models is a tiny bit different to the sec@12. You should find someone selling you a strap-conversion for the MBW..... Theo P.S.: you can ask me for the conversion kit, I have a spare MBW endlinks-kit that will work.

Good suggestion with the black paint....I like to go the easy way I do have a bracelet for this model in the same finish (beat-blasted)....I need to mount it in the next days and will post another pic. Thx for all your kind words. Theo

Dear All, I like to present my latest creation, the AP ROO RACER. This started life as an old model SAFARI with white instead of cream dial. Watch was completely torn into its pieces. Case, bezel and caseback got a micro-blasting (with glas pearls). The result is a dull silver look, matte in appearance and a wonderfull touch and feel. It looks like made of alloy. The bezel got new black PVD screws. Movement was serviced and the watch got a waterproof treatment during re-build. Unfortunately my watchsmith messed my dial up....I painted one of the numbers in alloy-silver....he cleaned the dial and also "cleaned" my silver paint Anyway....I attached a rubber strap with punched-in racer holes....done! The result is a one-off, a limited edition of 01/01 pieces....like to hear your comments. Thx for looking Theo P.S.: I need to get black lume on the hands to make the watch complete

You just need 1 or 2 screwdrivers. You can change the plots with strap or just the strap Theo

hehe, excatly my thoughts.....I am not too picky and I am very happy with the new number-color. Now please go ahead and do it in Titanium.....pretty please. Theo
