  1. I'm saving my money for a DRSD... I agree with you, krpster, I am being drawn to the fancy dome! If a Graham Chronofighter were to fall from the sky though, I may have to scoop it up...
  2. In the general discussion forum, there's a thread discussing Best Out of the Box reps. If you're looking for aesthetic accuracy, that may be a good place to start. And welcome to the forum!
  3. I think the best part of that video is that he has a big, gold ring on OVER the gloves!
  4. I never thought of a Pelican case. I bought something on ebay and it's not the best product...
  5. Beautiful watch! I have my Red Sub on today
  6. Okay, that is a tank! I have a H558 that I love! It's quartz but it keeps amazing time! Very nice watch!
  7. what's the requirement to post links, ten posts?
  8. It looks great! Are you going to do any work on the inside?
  9. Other than the Fiddy, Deep Sea Sea Dwellers are heavy-duty watches (43 mm and weigh half a ton) or Breitlings are typically big watches
  10. Joshua (Perfect Clones) and Andrew (Trusty Time) seem to be two of the most recommendes. There are others but that may be a good start
  11. Bill, that's both the greatest and worst thing I've ever heard! I'll be in touch... something tells me I'm going to have to save up some more money! I'm loving my Red Sub (got it on as we speak) and would love to add a Double Red to my collection. You're both a gentleman and a scholar!
  12. If I had the ability to put one on, I would give this a try! Unfortunately I don't have the ability to get the hands off and dial off...
  13. Awesome idea! Obviously that picture is larger than the date wheel... Is there any distortion in the numbers when you put it on? I'm leaning toward the ubi overlay. It's a little more than the PureTime one from Angus but I'm thinking it'll be worth it
  14. I think this is true for all watch movements. Even though the date isn't turning, the mechanism can be engaged or engaging the date wheel.
  15. Okay, that's who I figured it was... And so I assume his stuff is quality? A member on here said they have a ubi overlay they would sell me, I was just looking for some more information.
  16. ALright, I've got a lead on an ubi one and one from Angus... Which is better? I am unfamiliar qith the ubi one, can someone shed a little light on it for me? Thanks
  17. It's funny. On most of the directions from the sellers, it says to give it a good wind at the crown. Then, there are a lot of people who say don't do it... Personally, I just swirl it, set it, and wear it. I have wound reps at the crown but if you're putting it on your wrist anyway, just give it swirl so you can get the time set. Echoing what was said about not wnough power for the chrono, I've heard that being an issue right from the start. Wear it and give it another try this evening.
  18. +1. Go to Panerai's website, you can see the L SWISS L is lower.
  19. +1... wasn't a huge fan in the beginning but it's grown on me. It's actually on my list of "wants"!
  20. Those are really nice straps. Without aiding in turning this into a sales thread, what does one of these run?
  21. I wanted a 1665 originally but it didn't work out... I elected to go with the 1680 to make it a project. I'll be happier when I get it just right! Won't you have a cyclops with no date, then? I'm quite sure I have a gen crystal so the alignment there isn't an issue.
  22. Suggestions on where to get that? Or who I can send it to and have it done?
  23. So I need a date wheel that turns counter-clockwise then, right? Any idea where I might find one?
