gr8 pics..
my numbers are so much more grey then the gen that i can see it form 10 meters away..
the bezel color differs too, btw i prefer the fake.. looks more understated.
-
what is off about the iic bezel?
the color off the numbers..
you can see the difference from 10 meters
the gen numbers are more creamy white, the rep more greyish
furthermore the texture, color, look and feel of the gen is different.
easy to tell and fel the difference

The deapsee is a monster imho, that thing is BIG!
holy moly.. and i can not find anything nice to say about it.
the milgaus, is much bigger then you might expect. It wears big.
it has presence, the lines are a bit strange, but it looks very nice on the wrist.
even though the case design is not that appealing to me, it is a really great watch.
the IIc,
man our rep bezel is off, way way off, held them next to each other..
problem is that i kind of prefer the rep bezel.
but in order to get better accuracy we need a gen bezel on it.
i had the cc in hand and almost bought the IIc, not to trade but to keep.
but my common sense got the better off me..
and I missed on a steel daytona by 15 minutes (no waiting llist at this airport store)...
that thing i would have traded..

gents..
the IHS eta GMT IIc (the new full ceramic) will do the trick, dial is good movement is good watch looks brilliant and expensive.
or the the BK WM9, no idea what he do wrong there. 99.99 will not ever see anything wrong with it.
And it will probably last a life time and will never go out of fashion.
Btw Disko, watch the shoes if you do not want to stand out.
Comfy rubber soled shoes, or thick soled shoes will easily give you away..
PM some pics if you need some input.

wow really gr8 work.
this is what always kept me from buying a HBB.
nice to see that you solved it..

I have a very tall white wall at home and the first pic is a great idea for a warhol like series..
or just a black and white.. hmmmm

Nooooo not Paris with a Rolex.. Jaiks..
can I vote for Eva green with a IIc or an LV?

who's klink?
and why do people need to visit other sites?
Learning curve is flat here, let me repeat it again:
visiting and posting on other sites brings nothing but trouble..
full stop :-)

I have been told by Allan who is wm9's shipping guy that my yachtmaster will be shipped December 5th. I am a pre order customer. We shall see what happens.
very interested..

I didn't like Rolexes until the Deep Sea SD came along !! What a great looking Sub and the engraved rehaut sets it apart from all the other Subs and SDs !!
yeah.. it really does.. far far aside.. to the darkside..

I can't resist:
This thread is worthless without pictures
:-))))))))))))))
rob, god's speed..
I feel for you, luckily my wife is as untalented as I am in dancing, so no worries here..

Very nice work. Wear that one well. The funny thing about vintage rolexes is that half the gens have long since had parts replaced and so they are frankens.
SO true, one of my colleagues has a 40 year plus vintage datejust, sent it to Rolex for movement service, came back with a new dial and hands...
Such a shame, Frankenized by Rolex..

fugly brr..

Elvis has left Germany and left a watch behind
strange story, strange to sell it like that if there is any truth to the claim.
but it is blingy enough

C'mon Nuq,
it's boobs, not Bobs......sheesh.
BTW, the snobs are above reproach. I spend more time here amongst friends ( and boobs )as well.
Although by now i have enough gens that I am "allowed", i never hang out there..
inferior forums software.. and gen forums are so boooowwwwrrring..

wow!!
gr8 overview, one of the best posts of the year!
I will never say something again like: the bezel looks off, or the endlinks do not seem to fit nicely, or the fonts on the dial look off...
jeez..

Why would you want one? the daytona has a closed case back!
same question..
my initial reaction was: huh why?

all the dimensions should be identical, all parts should be able to be replaced by gen parts without modding.
that is 1:1
