As far as the mbw modern subs go I would say save the money and go with EL(better crown, crown guards and dial).... the vintage models are a different story (the gen insert will also need to be trimmed to go on the mbw modern)
You could try turning this screw back towards the - sign. Three mins a day is a bit much I think these are only good for about + or - 30 seconds a day. May have a problem in the balance spring or is perhaps its magnetized.
Hey Doc, I would be interested to see what kind of set up they use, mine also sits pretty well mid click also. Its not some thing that bothered me and at this stage wont be pulling mine apart, was just thinking out loud.
Thanks for the info
I was wondering if anyone has removed the bezel?
I want to know the set up of the spring, I was thinking if it was a similar set up to most omega bezels couldn't we just shorten the spring to get the bezel to line up on 12?
Thanks for the nice comments guys.
@docblackrock
Yea its a 1942, I have not done anything to it though I did leave it out in the back yard for a week when I first got it.
Another strap that gets a great patina is the gabo ones, they start off quite pale but darken over time (will look great with a pvd) I should have some pics of before and after if you want.
@Finepics
Thanks might give it a go.

The bracelet is from a old abay sub I picked up about two years ago on trc that was broken, so it has been used for parts and practice. I know alot of people dont like the hollow bracelets but I like it on this one, feels very well balanced.
I have been thinking about redoing the case like yours as I really like the rounded edges.
Another pic
Thanks for the nice comments guys, it has gen insert, t39 sd, crown and tube. I have drilled out the lug holes, did a little work on the crown guards and changed the bracelet to a hollow link one.
Its was purchased from maria and has been at this stage for a good while and a keeper for sure.
