  1. The first opener I bought was one of the indian ones like Heywood was talking about and it was slightly to small and of pretty poor quality. While looking on ebay for a higher quality set I managed to pick up some old rolex propeller style openers for 50 bucks and they fit perfectly on all my reps. Just dont go too cheap and they should work.
  2. Still loving my latest..... once the crystal arrives the work shall begin!
  3. Yea but what I am saying is its just somethings out of place... its no big deal take it or send it to someone to fix it, I just dont think buying a whole new mov because the keyless works is out is the best solution. If you do get a new one I suppose I would be willing tto take the other broken POS one.... wont even charge ya
  4. You should not really bother buying a new movement but to fix it now you probably will have to take the dial etc off.
  5. No problem, feel free to PM me if you need any help.
  6. Here is a similar thread that you may find useful click me The main thing is as Ubi said is to use the right size screw driver.
  7. Its pretty nice is what it is... and I normally really dislike gold. Got some mail yesterday so it will probably be on for next little while.
  8. Thanks, its had a fair bit done but still not happy with the insert and pearl
  9. Great stuff Ubi Been dying to see how they come out!
  10. You probably should have set the hands to 12 when you removed them (if you did?) Best bet is to turn the hands till the date clicks over then remove the hands and replace them at 12. edit sub beat me to it

Hey Ubi, just a quick one, did the 1665 have the silver date wheels? I always thought they were more of a 1680 thing?
  12. Nice job! Im glad the keyless works turned out not to be a problem for ya! You will have no problems doing the crown guards yourself
  13. This one most of the time, have a good one!

Yea Ubi I like that one the most also... new mod ay.... think I maybe interested I used both as at really fast shutter speeds the hardest part is getting enough light in for a good exposure

OK... just pulled my SD apart to double check the HE valve and can can confirm mine does not go all the way through. I bought it from mbw about a year ago so maybe they changed the case design over time? Its pretty well water proof with gen crown and tube, crystal and siliconed the seals but yet to put a gasket in the crystal compression ring. Thanks for the nice comments was pretty easy and I was surprised how good some turned out
  16. ofrei does not have superluminova, you can only get it here RC TRITEC. I had the ofrei stuff before finepics or who ever found this site and can tell you there is a world of difference between the products.

Thanks guys, the camera I used is a canon 350d which I just set to its fastest shutter speed then snapped away while pouring water on it . As for the He valve, I did have a look at it from the inside when I had apart and I couldnt see anything to suggest that it went all the way through the case on my one.

I decided to try some different shots of my 1665 for a change.... I like the way they are a bit more dynamic, I think they came out OK for a muck about.
