The dealer basically said the 2893 models have a different case so he could not guarantee the lug holes would line up. So just wanted confirmation that they fit before ordering one.
Basically what the title says, I want to know if anyone who has one of the 2893 GMT pams has put a bracelet on it?
I had one of the first style bracelets with one sided push release and know that it did not fit, I also asked one of the dealers who said they were a different case (crown was lower so different case than the modified 2836) so could not guarantee it would fit.
So does any one know?
Ubi if you already have a point and shoot I would look at maybe a SLR, I have a canon 350d and it can do more than I will probably ever need. The only thing you may have to factor in is a couple of lenses, I recently bought a 100mm macro for it and it does make a pretty big difference.
I went with canon as it suited me best but look at all of them and decide what would be best for you, the Minoltas and Sonys have image stabilization inbuilt and not on the lens which can cut the cost if you are getting a few.
Great shot as always puggy, I do agree it does wear very well for quite a large piece.
@ pwygant,
I have seen those straps and do not think they will work, I think By-tor may have tried cutting the pin to get it to fit without much success. I have a cheap speedmaster x-33 rep that came on one of these and had a quick look at trying to fit it, if I remember right apart from the pin the lug holes were a little off.
Hey Bryan, my one o'clock marker fell off so while I was putting it back together I greased the gaskets and tightened the case back etc.
As you can see back up the thread the He valve had no gasket and I did not have one that fit so that would probably be a weak point. I would test it this if I was to use it in the pool.... but I only really did the equivalent of holding it under the tap.
@ Vaccum
Your pics are really coming along Nice angles and good to see you playing around with the depth of field.
@ linkukbora
Thanks
Replica7, thanks
jsw, I have not heard but hopefully soon.
Pugwash you will love it, they really are very good. Look forward to dozens of new pics
Longshot, Tenacious_b is right it does feel about the same or a little smaller than a pam, you get used to pretty quickly.
I'm pretty keen on building a skeleton at some stage and I was just wondering how you went with the hour wheel?
I like it by the way... love looking at the movement ticking away, its a shame to hide it under a dial.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to post this Rob, I have lost count of the number of times I have gone back to look at your tear down threads.
As has been said before the El Primero is a stunning movement and congrats to you Randy on your second Daytona!
