  1. I have a modded Bentley GT with lume and service by The Zigmeister...and the all too important DOUBLE AR by Chieftang. Let me know if you're interested, trimming down my collection.
  2. Awesome RS4, I'm sure you're loving it! I drive a CL500 but if you pulled up to me at a stoplight and gave me that "look", I would just smile and shake my head no...nice friggin ride. Even though its a quatro, it drives like a dream. I drove an Audi A8 for 3 years and LOVED IT. Congrats! oh yeah, Nice watch
  3. Wow, what a sad day...Rob, you have been an integral part of everyone's education of watches and will be missed. Your talented hands have touched over a dozen of my watches and they are all beyond special. It's a pity that a couple bad apples can ruin something so good for us all...the saying that you don't know what you have until it's gone doesn't even scratch the surface of what our forum has lost. Rob, please enjoy the holidays with Jenn and enjoy YOUR life...not our forum seeping into your life. I wish you well and understand if you are taking a break from working as well...we can always revisit more work at a time when working is more enjoyable for you. Happy Holidays!
  4. Hey Chieftang: Placed an order with Angus for the SS 7753 chrono version...he said it will take a couple days since it is being custom made. I'll post pics when i receive it. I've liked this watch for a LONG time, and with the swiss 7753, you don't have the sunken datewheel issue. Already have a HKTAN brown gator in da house, but I think the SS version looks better with the black. If anyone wants a HKTAN Santos 100 brown gator, PM me...i'll let it go for the same price without the wait.
  5. hey archibald, thanks for putting this together last year. i've actually received 5 inquiries on the FM Casablanca and since we're all members here, i'm not here to make a profit although the price of gold has gone up quite a bit since the watch was released. i would gift it to a member for the same price i paid for it, just under $1700 although i would trade it in for a combo of a PAM 027 2893 and cash. i just don't put in enough suit time so the watch doesn't get any love and i figure someone should enjoy this rare and lovely piece. what i do want to see is one of the Rose Gold pieces! someone share a pic!
  6. Possibly listing this rare Frank Muller Casablanca up for sale since it doesn't get enough wrist time. I have the 18k Yellow gold with 2892 engraved movement but does anyone have pics of the ROSE GOLD? This is one of the great reps so I'm torn, I just feel someone should be enjoying this piece...one of my last purchases from the MIA Eddie Lee. On the fence, but i would love to see one of the Rose Gold pics. Just in case I forgot, thanks Archibald for making this happen last year.
  7. Did you guys go SS or Two Tone on the 7753 Santos Chrono? I'm a big fan, but the Two Tone Gold Version that Angus has is 14k when the gold should be 18k, and I'm still leaning toward the two tone. The All SS looks great too... Bummer about the strap being glued, I just received a custom HKTAN Brown Alligator strap that may have to go to the sales corner...and i've been patiently waiting to receive it for 6 weeks. SS or Two Tone, which is the way to go??
  8. Kruzer is the only lucky member I know who had this mod done. The Zigmeister was able to do this I believe by cannabalizing parts from several watches and I believe Rob advised he would not be doing it again as it was quite a bit of work. I too have 2 Ceramic BBs and would love to have a swiss movement in there and it can be done if you have all the parts and a mad scientist at the helm.
  9. Mark has resolved my issue as well and i'm impressed with his actions. For me it was never the money since it was only a datewheel, it was the only blemish I've encountered in 4 years in the hobby from members to dealers...we've all been amazing...and now Mark has made right what was wrong. It could have been easy for him to just write us all off(that's what i actually took it as), but he hasn't, and has made things right for me.
  10. awesome brian, what is the deadline on this second order? also, i love my double ARs you've done, but would be interested in having 3 of them redone without lip marks? how durable is the coating and can The Zigmeister remove them if i send him the watches? you're always providing an amazing service for all of us! dave
  11. Just got an email from Angus...no go, still waiting...like everyone else. so the beat goes on... dave
  12. Wow, Mark actually emailed me that he would be sending our a refund paypal next week. For me, it's not the money but closure on an unpleasant event on a board and hobby I enjoy so much...with Finepics making an effort, I do commend him for his actions. His intentions may have been there initially without the follow through, but for him to put a resolution on something from so long ago and right a wrong on something I had written off, I do appreciate his gesture. Mark did advise he did have a replacement datewheel in lieu of a refund but I no longer need that datewheel. I'm sure Mark and everyone else look forward to closing these chapters and moving on.
  13. just send angus an email so i'm sure i'll get an update soon. the tracking number sent isn't working: "There is no record of this item. " Why Are You Receiving This Message? 1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later. 2. The number was entered incorrectly. Be sure to enter all of the letters and numbers as they appear on your mailing label or receipt. BUT, i used to routinely get these when i ordered dozens of watchs from Eddie, and then...SURPRISE, it would show up one morning. dave
  14. Ordered one with Angus with the original Nov drop date, patiently waited and Angus sent me a tracking number yesterday which isn't working yet...which doesn't mean it hasn't been sent, may just not be in the system. If it was indeed sent, I should receive this next week. Not much of a photographer, and I'm off to Vegas after Thanksgiving for week, but if it does come in, I'll try some attempts at a couple photos. Can you drop in a swiss 7750 to replace the asian movement?? this will be going to The Zigmeister as usual!
  15. Hey Mark: send you an email earlier in the week to see if you were honoring the refunds you stated. i'll be the first to post your reconciliation if you do, just sent you a paypal request @ finepics@gmail.com. my paypal address is dkang@supremesf.com i've read your statements and actually have a friend that went into a state of depression who did, or more accurately, did not do the things that made him the amazing person that was my friend. i don't know you personally, all i know is that you offered a product and accepted payment then disappeared. let's see if your actions today can resolve your actions in the past.
  16. I love the Santos 100 Chrono as well...I actually have a HKTAN alligator strap coming for my regular Santos 100 but I may need to save that for the Santos 100 Chrono. is the TwoTone or the Stainless Steel more accurate? thinking about pulling the trigger, who do you recommend getting the 7753 from?
  17. well if mark is trying to make things right, credit back everyone that's paid for datewheels and haven't received them, that would be the welcome suprise of 2007. i'll send you an email and look forward to you honoring your commitment. our community is based on our members and trust...had you just communicated the delay or problem or some form of resolution, i think this would have been addressed a long time ago. the lack of communication to emails, a constantly full PM box, and your Houdini "disappearance" has all of us feeling betrayed. in life, we are only as good as our actions, not our intents. i look forward to seeing how this resolution pans out, and if you do honor your commitments to us, i respectfully applaud you for your honor. dave
  18. Wow, Mark must be out of his mind. I love RWG for our community and our amazing HONEST members, but Mark is a low life scammer. He only got me for a datewheel, but when you add up all the datewheels and all the watches, the formula I get is: Mark aka Finepics=Punk [censored]. I would love him to be ousted on the "GEN" boards. I own gens and I own reps...but bottom line, being a member on a Gen board doesn't make you more "honest" than being on a rep board. How can someone like Mark/Finepics even be able to show his face anywhere??!!
  19. They have to make this...or i'm getting a gen. Friggin hot!
  20. I love my VC Overseas and have had it serviced by The Zigmeister, superlumed, and Double ARed...BUT, i have the old incorrect clasp. Where did you get the correct clasp or replacement bracelet. I asked Angus and he said that there have been several versions so he wasn't sure if a replacement bracelet would fit. I emailed my favorite dealer Eddie Lee, but he's MIA. Any input on an EL VC Overseas??
  21. hey chief, loving all my AR crystals rob has reinstalled over the last 2 runs...i might have 1 or 2, i'm weeding out certain watches in my collection so i'll advise asap...i'm on the road but will be back in 2 days if you want to "roughly" pencil me in...i'll confirm to pen me in. thanks!!
  22. We're ALL WAITING FOR A REFUND, A DATEWHEEL, an APOLOGY...something...
  23. I've been an Apple guy my whole life so I'm biased...but the new dual core intel Macbook Pros really are alot of computer even though they are expensive. the main benefit besides having a Mac is that you can run all your PC programs using Apple's bootcamp since the Apple is running on an intel dual core processor...basically you have 2 computers in one, a Mac and a PC so you can run both operating systems. Something to consider, there are deals on ebay for used ones...
  24. Nice thread, when I first joined, I only had 3 genuines...Rolex TT sub, SS Sub, and a Cartier Francais SS Tank...I was looking for a SS Daytona knowing that at that time, I would not be dropping $10k for the chrono even though that was my Holy Grail watch. Fast forward 3 years later I still have my 3 gens but: ziggified=relume, service movement, fix canon pin if applicable THESE ARE MY KEEPEERS: Panerai 111h (ARed, Mario Paci strap) Panerai 113 (ARed, Ziggified, OEM tan calf) Panerai 127 (ARed, Ziggified, OEM black calf) Panerai 063 (ARed, Ziggified, 2892, Mario Paci black calf) Panerai 187 Panerai 192 Panerai 183 (ARed, Ziggified, OEM brown gator) Panerai 196 (ARed, Ziggified, 7753, genuine Crown, , OEM black gator, Lello datewheel next) Panerai 212 (ARed, Ziggified, 7753, genuine Crown, Mario Paci black calf) Panerai 231 (ARed, Ziggified, OEM brown gator) Panerai 251 (ARed, Ziggified, 7753, Mario Paci dark brown calf) IWC 3717 (Ziggified, eta day/date swap, eta 7750 swap) IWC Ingy SS (Double Ared, Ziggified) IWC Ingy Chrono SS (Double Ared, Ziggified) IWC Portguese Chrono Panda (HK Tan Black alligator strap) Omega Planet Ocean (Double ARed, Ziggified) Cartier Santos 100 (HK Tan dark brown alligator strap) Breitling Superocean White on OEM black rubber Breitling GT White (Double Ared, Ziggified) Breitling Evolution White face on OEM black calf strap Hublot Big Bang SS Ceramic Hubot Big Bang SS (Ziggified) Frank Muller Eddie Lee GB 18k Gold Casablanca with 2892 THESE I'LL SELL OR TRADE IWC GST Rolex Daytona SS White Face Seconds @ 6:00 Rolex Daytona SS Black Face Seconds @ 6:00 Rolex GMT II SS It's been a LONG road and I'm overall happy with my choices...whenever something doesn't "work" for me, it goes to a good friend who is always amazed by the reps. Realistically, I should further cut down my collection as they all do not get enough "wrist time" as we call it before we sell it...For example, my BEAUTIFUL Frank Muller pure 18k Gold Casablanca from Eddie has only been on my wrist twice for half hour intervals...it was a wise purchase at the time, but this watch looks great with a suit, and when I'm wearing a suit, I usually have my Gen Rolex TT Blue Face Sub or a Panerai...so I should sell this, but I know I won't be able to get this again so I'm torn. I think part of collecting is the "chase", always looking for the next new super watch, or constantly working on modding them to perfection...but the thruth is...you'll find your own way in terms of what you like as you go...as you can see, my Holy Grail was the Rolex Daytona SS White face...i got both the white and black...and they NEVER get any wrist time. great pieces keeping perfect time even with the pesky but correct seconds @ 6:00, but i don't have the urge. reps certainly saved me from making a $10k questionable purchase. good luck on your collection, you'll make the right choices for you as you go. i've met great friends, great dealers, great experts who all share our passion so...what's the next new exciting rep coming out?? not that i'm looking....
  25. I agree, we have many great dealers but Eddie became my chosen one...because he guided me away from making poor choices when he could have sold me more...and I've bought WAY too many watches from EL...hope to see him soon. I know he has a main job which gets his priority, so he could just be busy. ...or maybe the restaurant biz is his new love...
