The gen numbers and dial is creamy and glowy as compared to the rep which is more powdery. Also the numbers are bolder on rep as compared to the more slimmer and with sharper definition on the gen. Do you think the screws on the gen are sharper and sleeker as compared to slightly more bulkier ones on the rep? Also are they noticeably more sunken on the gen? How is the AR?

Hi Guys, Further to my earlier poll. I have decided to go with the Safari. I have already ordered HKTAN medium brown as he said it best suits the safari but I have read in few posts that a lot of you have ordered the honey coloured one. Could some one advise me as to which one is closest to the gen? I did a bit of research and thought the medium brown was ok. If its the other way around please do let me know asap so I can quickly email him back and change the colour before he posts it!! Thanks in advance

Hello Gentlemen, I have only adopted AP as my religion 3 days ago and I want to pull the trigger on either the Safari or the Don Ramon. Would appreciate your input on both please. My biggest concern being the unreliable movement! I send a quick email to Andrew and he says the latest versions sec@12 have better movement and that they are good. Also after spending a fair bit on the watch and the strap from either HKTAN or AP Bands I would, as you would appreciate, expect the watch to work well for years. However after my brief study on the subject I hear the the movement would either need to be serviced or changed..your comments please Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys, I was browsing through youtube to learn how to repair and take apart movements and came across this website http://www.ticktockpro.com they have a 5 DVD set of instructional DVDs about introduction and repair of watches and I was wondering if any one has ever used these?? and Anyone who has these dvds wanting to sell them ?? Ah I see you remember that .... sharp memory ... well I was just browsing around today and decided to buy it and it cost me $65. I just couldnt wait for 6 weeks for a strap from the top strap makers on the forum. Also the interesting thing is at the building right next to where i got the strap has the official panerai dealership its Richemont Australia so I decided to go there and check out the original glossy gator. Its $440 and thte deployment buckle was $550..So keeping those figues in mind I just decided to buy the strap and dint care to omuch about the buckle.. When I got home I changed the strap and I could managed to fit the buckle too but the buckle tongue was to think for the holes in the strap and I decided to put the new buckle back !!

Thanks Pete its just that I work in a very formal Hotel environment dressed in a suit all the time so its goes with it ....subbiesrock lol thanks for the comments mate.... mate I have been a bit quite on here for a little while and getting back into it now so I do want to install a new Unitas 6497..will make the watch a bit quieter as well, but not sure if its available in Sydney anywhere plus a watch-smith who would work on reps too??

Thanks guys... its just that I have seen some of his other vids are the watches look very good as I said .. however I fear he may be using the gens in the video to lure people..ad would end up sending real cheap/fake watches.. so I asked.. but thanks for the feedback wombat/superlative.
