  1. Guys I have to vent it out.. all the interesting threads from the past either don't work or none of the pictures can be seen!!!!!!!! I am trying to do my research and gain knowledge but it just wont happen. I was checking out Pugwash's "How to photograph watches" and I cant see any pictures.... well not much of a help in Photography section if one cant see the photographs!! Likewise with most of the threads which are the building blocks of this forum. Some of the older members have put in their sweat and blood and written great posts but seems like in vein. Is there a way around it? Are the mods doing something about it?? :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: :angry2: FARK!
  2. email Andrew and I am sure he will help you out
  3. I think is very legit question killer. By the looks of it, there definitely is a difference in colour. But I haven't seen it personally so cant say. I am sure some one on the forum would know better and help you out
  4. Hehehe my next review would be the sliver 3941 filer plus nail clipper with gen blade . So what you are saying is that once I unscrew one side of the strap the other side's screw automatically comes out? If thats the case Ill probably do it in a large transparent plastic bag. Thanks for the input W.
  5. Thank you Relaxman... I am more than certain about his integrity ..I just wanted to check the tracking as I may be out for a couple of days thats all. its just that its annoying when you know the item has been posted but you cant check its whereabouts!
  6. Some more pics guys ..this time with little better lightning yet still with the iPhone 4.
  7. Absolutely i think so too and hence the constant emails to aaron .. he probably wont make a strap for me again hehehe speaking on which is it really too much pain to change the strap? and is it better to get it done from a professional? I have some tools and am pretty competent but I don't want to scratch the want or spoil it cosmetically?
  8. Well mine has been sent already a few days ago but I cant track it online! Aaron said he has spoken to the post office and will get back to me in a couple of days!!
  9. Oh damn all the knowledgeable material seems to be affected the most! Is there any why I could manually get those articles? Perhaps pm the author and see?
  10. Aww I would never insult someone with a glass of milk in his hand mate! lol ..(honestly apologies if anyone felt that way... it was not directed AT ALL) I haven't been in the rep game for that long and so the obvious din't hit me. But ur right and I am gonna keep that in mind from now.
  11. Actually the trap does look like a delicate affair. I want to get it done properly too.
  12. Nah bro nothing yet! he told me he posted it but nothing!!
  13. Hehe I was just going to message you on the other forum to ask you to check out the pics Klockis, as I had promised you. Mate its really is delicious! Thanks Fleet, would have been icing on the cake if I had received TAN today! I am sure you will do the honours as far as that thread goes! 'Safari on TAN, love from Sweden' you probably have a real camera too
  14. So guys... Don Ramon can wait and the ~Safari~ is here. Here are some pictures for you. And my 'bonsai review' -- This watch is amazing. The first thing that came to my mind was 'what are all these people talking about mods to make this watch looking better?' IT DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING. I have never lay hands on any watch that feels so exquisite. And I really think we should stop taking pictures OR posting of this gem!! THEY DO NO DO JUSTICE to it. Honestly this is petite watch (yes I know what you are thinking but still its petite) which oozes elegance, it is romance, it is steadfast, it is a heavenly piece of metal its a beauty within a beauty...and I wanna eat it! And also waiting on my HKTAN which shouldn't be too long now and will post another thread with new pictures then. AGAIN this is a piece of jewelry , those who have this watch know what I mean .. those who don't have one yet - GOD DID NOT MAKE CAMERAS FOR THIS WATCH!
  15. Its funny the strange course this thread has taken!! I though we were discussing random friendship requests! So more on the topic.-- This goes out for the senior members (particularly senior by status on the forum and senior by age over 35) I would surly attribute this to the facebook phenomena. Its a common practice to add people you have barely corresponded with as a friend straightaway. Its more of a Gen Y thing. People add anybody and everybody (I have 750 friends on Facebook and personally only know about 300!..yes I know what you may think but its my facebook and Ill add whoever I want, so what if the rest 400 are blondys ..). I suppose it works as a database which can be used as and when required. Now I know there are many many techsavy older people here and nothing directed towards them.... but there are many who are not that much into social nteworking as some of the younger noobs or youngsters. I do feel this friends request thing could be a behavioral thing possibly due tot he thing I mentioned above.
  16. Any Mods/Admin who could shed some light? is there a way I could get them to work. Perhaps copy and paste the url with some modifications?
  17. This is such a great post took me about 5 days to read it ..and still haven't read the sub posts completely. Can anyone shed some light as why many of the links don't work. I really want to read the part- How to service your watch, but it seems many of 'The Zigmeisters' links are not working. Same goes for many other links Thanks
  18. Hello Guys, So i have been doin a fair bit of reading lately and the wealth of information the the forum is phenomenal. All the articles and threads are so interesting. I especially loved the 'noob or no noon read this first' and all teh associated threads. However a lot of the links do not work and same goes for reviews of watches done a couple of years back. Any link clicked takes me to the members directory area. Can anyone help ? Is there something I am not doing right? It seems pretty straightforward to just click on the link and normally the link opens in a new window. thanks
  19. Not at all Dave I was merely expressing the extent of my research.... after completely burning out the midnight oil on the threads on RWG I proceeded to the other two just to read. This is my first post and have always been a resident of rwg Thanks for the input. appreciate it very much. I cant understand why then do people particularly find a problem with the V2 movement? I suppose ur right I think all stick with the rep and just relume it .. Cheers.
  20. Hello Guys, I have never been so confused in my life!! I want a Slyland and so the age old question arises ..V2 or V3? Believe me I have done all my homework and read different threads on geek and RWI. 1. Which would have a better movement..coz I dont want one which I needs to get fixed after paying a good $200-300. 2. I was thinking of putting a gen dial and was wondering which would be a better option in the longer run in this case? Thanks
  21. Thanks Nikki. In fact I had only heard of the Invicta a couple of time before. But believe me the pictures dont do justice to the watch. Its a very impressive looking one and the strap is really good quality. In its own category (as you said copy artist) its not too bad. I wud probably never buy one but I just wanted to share it with you guys.
  22. Hello guys I happened to go to one of my Russian friends place today and I tried on his monstrous Invicta. Its a gen for a little over 3k for it. Just thought I would share with forum. I have a normal size wrist but this thing is huge!
