Hello W . .sounds about right I spoke to AP singapore and they told me it was Singapore $835 roughly $650 Australian..I wud say 550 is not too bad in that case. still quite an amount. Is there any place to find AP horn back straps apart from ebay (which are not many) at a reasonable price?

Guys 2 days ago I called up the authorized service center of AP in Sydney and asked if they had a gen horn back for the Safari. The lady told me that they had every other strap apart from the croc as importing it needs a special license and is highly regulated. Even AP CAN NOT get the Safari horn back strap!!! they can have them imported on the watch as an integral piece but not as a spare part! My question now is that perhaps my strap from HKTAN is with quarantine being a horn back! Just wondering if any one of you Aussies had had issues in the past receiving HKTAN's crock horn back straps??

provided you buy a new AP from them ..they would do it.I am not sure if they would entertain previously sold watches to you... But you can always check.

Miocrow do you mean get a gen clasp? or strap? Do you know of a site where I could get it? Fleet dont worry I just swapped the straps, as advised, today and the problem seems to have gone away! But in the long term I may get the deployment and change the buckle on the deployment with the one on the clasp as shown by fitipaldi..BTW I Love my rep strap now!! I have no option!

Chief i think you havea valid point here. I think I was wearing it a little tight and decided to loosen it a bit. But by that time I had already had the rash you can see in the picture and decided to take the watch off. W thanks again for the info I will change the strap tomorrow and I hope it wont be the case anymore. I am surprised and a $50,000 watch would not factor ultra comfort into account!!

Does it rub you the right way now? sexual exploitation or unscrupulous behavior towards of any AP watch will not be tolerated on this forum hehehe thanks very much farmer I thought I will do that too and only then decide if I want to get another aftermarket deployment.

Yes I agree that's another issue too. However there has always been a bit of ambiguity about his shipment times... Lets just hope everyone gets their stuff soon. I know Fleet and myself pretty much ordered around the exact same date so it should be around. Perhaps with that we could estimate others wait time. Like you I was told it will be shipped same week and i will have it in the next 8 days!

WOW..you have been more than helpful brother. Thank you. So how come you have 'Audemars Pigeut ' engraved on your one. The seller has one which is blank. Does he engrave it for you? and where did you find the spring bar?
