Nice lookin' timepiece boncovi. My uncle has done alot to help out our family (it is tax time and he is a CPA and won't take any money from us) so I'm thinking of picking him up a rep. Here in the midwest, no one knows timepieces other than the infamous ralex, so I'm thinking of getting hin a similar one to yours. I had bad luck with an asian movement so i may go with an ETA, but you will enjoy this one on your wrist. Enjoy, friend!

I ordered a watch from TTK that DIED, posted a query on the board, was informed of his policy, and returned it for replacement. I don't consider myself a troll on the board, just your average Joe learning to enjoy my new hobbie ... I have waited patiently for the transaction to complete, yet have had no communication from TTK since early March. I've sent a few emails as follow up to him with no reply, posted a question in my typical fun loving manner HERE , saw TTK was active on the board and pointed to the thread in one of his posts HERE, yet zero follow-up. I realize this is not life support, I'm not looking for a pen pal or someone to hold my hand, just the return of a gift I bought for my girlfriends son. In the overall scheme of things this is no big deal, just a hundred bucks and some change ... I'll just feel really foolish if I allowed myself to get scammed, I usually try to exercise due diligence prior to making a purchase, and TTK is an active member of the board (and actually has a personality) so I felt a level of comfort selecting him. What advice do ya'all have ... do I merely write this off as a loss? In my defense, I attempted to handle the transaction and follow up in a courteous manner, with the details below (information scrubbed to protect the innocent). What would you do now? EDIT

In my first days of membership after reading through posts, I realized he knew is stuff ... pm'd him out of the blue and asked his opinion on a watch, and he replied courteously and frankly with his opinion. Ubi is a knowledgable stand-up person, thanks for helping to make this board a great place.

I was faced with a similar delima a while back, and took the recommendation of several members and went with the J12. You can get it with or without shiney things, and my niece really likes it ... I almost went with a classy looking ralex rep, but it just wouldn't "fit" an 18 year old kid ... Happy shopping!

Thanks, while I have no intention of being rude to new members, I also am not so naive as to fall for what was to me, an obvious attempt to illicit information. I appreciate the feedback of the senior members and moderator, and find it disturbing that I am not the only one to have this happen to. Thanks for hosting a great joint here!

If you have strong enough convictions one way or another ... start a gun control thread, I'd gladly participate. Live every day as it is your last, hug your loved ones and tell you you love them every day, you never know when it will be your last opportunity to do so.

I got a PM from a member with the handle thebluehorseshoe asking for PM or contact info on EL. I consider myself a noob here, and with zero posts, I replied I'm not sure what they were talking about and suggested they posted their question in the public forum. I have PM'd a few members here with questions and have always got polite responses. With recent events, I attempted to use what I consider sound judgment in my reply. Did I do a bad thing? ...and include waterproofing (to swim, not dive depths). The Zigmeister clearly states he does not do waterproofing and I am really interested in getting a good service on my YM. I tried a search and found no joy, does anyone have a recommendation to point me in the right direction? I'm in the states FWIW. Thanks.

Like Stephane I am a noobie to this site. I just placed an order for my third rep. I purchased a YM and a noobmariner that I have received, and just ordered a J12. I had an issue with the noobmariner and posted a question on the board. After several helpful replies from members, my dealer (TTK) responded to my POST and the issue is being resolves. I hope I did nothing wrong by posting my question on the open forum, but I was unsure how to resolve quality issues. My honest question was professionally addressed, and is being resolved to my satisfaction. Under no circumstances would report a transaction to the payment vendor until ALL other methods of resolution have been addressed, and most likely would NEVER report a prolem to a payment vendor unless I was dealing with a real jerk ... what is the price of a rep in the scheme of things ... all else fails, it is already broken, something I can work on to learn and not worry about. Any future issues will be addressed in private with vendors, and I hope I have done nothing to add to dealer angst on the board by posting the question I linked. My experience here has been very positive thus far. Each timepiece I have purchased I posted my experiences about, and try to use factual information to assist others like me in choosing their dealer, and I have yet to be dissapointed by any of ya'all this far. Thanks for the great place, folks.
