  1. I second that motion. These pictures are great. I thought my mother-in-law was ugly, but I have now found a new appreciation for the word.
  2. Was looking to pick up a Link in blue, but that pic just sold me on the grey. Amazing looking watch, and incredible pics! Ordering tonight, will post pics when I get it!
  3. 1981 Olds Cutlass Supreme, V6. Emerald Green exterior, mint green cloth interior. Wire wheels. The A/c and heat didn't work, but I didn't give a crap. My biggest day was getting rid of the white walls and getting a set of BF Goodrich Sport ATs with the raised white lettering. I thought I was the coolest thing since Mendudo!
  4. Purchased a "perfect" sub from Andrew a couple of weeks back, and am very happy. It basically came down to the fact that I was spending a little extra on the serviced rep, and hadn't heard any negative remarks about Andrew whatsoever. I figure the extra $100 bought me piece of mind. I hate to throw cliches out there, but you get what you pay for...
  5. I bought the wife a datejust from Josh for Xmas and couldn't be happier. A damn nice watch for under $200.00
  6. goddamn that's nice! Has me thinking... "make the car payments next month or get a chronomat evolution with a gen strap?" I'm thinkin' the watch...
  7. Can't agree more with that. Nothing like unpacking your suitcase and not having to re-iron every shirt in it. That, and they last a good 4-5 years b4 finally crapping out. BB is one of the few brands that I will pay for b/c they truly do have great quality. And if you ever have a problem with one of their products, the store takes them back, no questions asked no matter how old they are. Tough to beat that.
  8. Yes, Happy New Year to all, and thanks for the ridiculous amount of great information on this board.
  9. agree with there being no such thing as a perfect rep, but I knew one of the biggest flaws on the subs were the CG's. Was thinking that by buying the "perfect" sub, I would avoid that, since those would be modded. Now that I look at my own pictures, they actually don't look too bad. It's amazing the difference in perception "what you see" in a picture vs. holding it in your hand. I guess my OC doesn't help the matter either!java script:emoticon('', 'smid_15') Just when I thought '06 would close out without me developing a problem with these reps, I see By-Tor's review on the 45mm PO... My wife already thinks I spend too much time reading on this board... Wait 'till '07...
  10. Thanks pho. Still in the process of learning, so info like this really helps. My first of what I am sure will be many more reps. Have a good new year.
  11. Thanks man. Love the avatar! Eddie is the man. Now if only all of them could put there differences aside and start a tour with DLR!
  12. All, Just received my "perfect" sub today (I never knew any postal service that delivered on a Sunday, so I was surprised to say the least). In any event, I wanted to get some opinions on the CG's. Considering this is a "perfect" watch and not the std sub, I expected the CG's to be a little better. To me, a bit of a noob, they look a little fat from the front. Just wanted some other opinions to see whether I have a legit gripe or not. Pictures attached. Thanks & Happy New Year! #1 #2 #3
  13. That's f-ing hysterical. Who knew I'd find a link to creating Bollywood movies on a rep watch site?
  14. Just picked up a Lady Datejust from Josh, and I have to say it's a great looking watch. Got a box & papers off Ebay for the complete package. I posted the Ebay member on another thread, if you are interested...
  15. There is great logic to this quote. I could be blowing the mortgage on hookers and booze, but I don't. What's a harmless hour or 12 on a discussion board? In addition, you can't take your money to the grave, so you might as well spend it on some good replica watches and a six pack of New Castle...
  16. Just wanted to thank all of you who have put out a ridiculous amount of good information into this site. Unfortunately, it is causing a few problems in my life: I'm on this site all the time and neglecting my wife I have found a new way to spend myself broke I don't do anything around the house, which my wife has been pointing out on a regular occasion (actually, this isn't such a bad thing...) I've only been a member for like 3 weeks. Does it get worse before it gets better?
  17. To quote a famous tv personality "why do they call it taking a dump, when you are leaving a dump? I mean, you're not actually taking it anywhere.." Anyone know who?
  18. Does the blue have too much of a purple tint to it?
  19. I'd be curious to know if they ACTUALLY sold 1000 of these. I was on Amazon with a cable connection and couldn't even get the page to load, much less get the Xbox. It was ridiculous. They also scr*wed me out of 12 PS3s that I ordered from them. Cnacelled every single order stating "there was a website glitch" that caused them to be available. If I had landed those, I would have been able to fund this newly-found watch habit for quite some time. I guess I'll just have to do it the old fashioned way...
  20. All, Since I can't add all that much about watch reps as a newbie, thought I'd share some of the best sites out there for saving $$ on everyday stuff. Monitoring these can become addictive (and costly) as well, so browse at your won risk. If anyone has any other sites they like, would love to know about them... www.bensbargains.net www.slickdeals.net & slickfillers.net (site to help you find items that will get you to meet free shipping thresholds, discounts, etc...) www.stealdeals.net www.dealnews.com www.gotapex.com www.xpbargains.com Dealcatcher.com Enjoy!
  21. Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help. Once again, this forum is going to make me broke. Just ordered a datejust for the wifey, and taking a hard look at Josh's sub and Perfect Sub. So many good reps, so little money... Life is good!
  22. Does anyone in the forum have any experience with this seller at all? Seems to have a decent amount of non-bs feedback together, but wanted to run this by folks here, as you guys and gals know this sh*t a lot better than I would. I highly doubt these are, in fact, genuine as advertised, but want to avoid not getting anything at all... Thanks in advance! http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...P:feedback:2:us
  23. Thanks for the recommendation. Can anyone post a pic of the PP24, b/c I am not sure I am looking at the right thing. I don't see it listed under River, but I may not be reading the numbers right... A little help for the new guy.. Thanks!
