  1. I hope that the PVD will be ok.

But let us know how it is after you got it safe at home

Yeah...I saw that too. I'm hoping it's either a bad example or at the very least, just on the strap bars (lug bars? I don't know what to call them) and that the actual case is decent PVD.

The only reason I was willing to try is that I bought a PVD Luminor off the bay (different seller though) and the PVD was pretty good. It had the wrong brushed finish, but the actual PVD was nice.

    We'll see.

  2. LOVE it.. from the photos looks amazing. I will definately get one when you receive yours and it is indeed nice.

edit to add.. i wonder if you can put a manual movement in it ?

I'll definitely post a mini review when I get it.

I hope I can put a manual movement in it. I also hope I can find a sapphire crystal.

  3. wow.........great shots & lovely 111H my friend~!

where did you get that CG? looks fantastic!!!

Thanks Jiro...The GC came from the guy with the post just above yours...V.

I think he's out of them, but I've seen a few in the parts and tools trade forum.

They really do "make" the watch IMO. They're not cheap, but neither is a Ferrari...There's a reason for that.

  4. This strap, which is available from member xlr8tn, is simply beautiful. I liked it so much, I ordered one in cognac. It's a pretty dark brown, so it didn't photograph as well as it looks in person.

These shots show off the V CG pretty nicely as well.

I've also been playing with lighting and editing. I think the shots are a little on the yellow side, but it's late and I'm tired of messing with them. Maybe later.

EDIT - re-edited color balance on all pictures.

  5. Without too much detail, my youngest daughter had a stroke at birth, this means she is hemiplegic, paralysed on her right side, and suffers epileptic seizures daily.

Please don't ever feel pity for my daughter as she has perhaps one of the strongest personalities of all my children. Her ailment limits her physically but mentally she is fine ( Thank God )

A day ago she was getting dressed, and rather than use her left hand to brush her hair, she told me she would use her "clever hand" instead, and she did, she fought through what must at least have been less than an easy task, and got on with it. She is still only five!

I share this only with you lot simply because you are a great bunch of guys, and probably wouldn't mind reading this even though i only write it for my little one.

Take care and remember the little things.

    Hey Pollux,

    Thank you for sharing.

I can feel the love and pride in your story.

I have been blessed with 2 healthy boys. They are 17 years apart (I know, I'm nuts). My youngest is 11 months old and I get pure joy watching the smallest of new accomplishments. I can only imagine how you must feel watching your little girl overcome her paralysis!!

I'd bet the farm you are a wonderful Daddy!

Thanks again for sharing and have a great weekend.

    Mike

What the HELL!?!? I was just convinced I was a homo because I watched Michael Phelps swim, But...but...wha...what's this bulge growing in my trousers?!?!

Those 2 are really Olympic athletes? Holy Shnikies!!

I'm with you Rasta...gotta visit Brazil!!

Gotta say though, I shot a USA vs Brazil womans soccer game last month that was an Olympic warm up (the game before Abby Wambach broke her leg), and the Brazilian soccer ladies didn't look anything remotely like that!!

  7. I like to were undershirts under t-shirts too?? you like your crystals AR'd do you??? but I like salsa on ma eggs... Maui onion salsa or mango salsa.. :D oohh.. with tobasco..mmmmmm

Totally OT, but you mentioned mango salsa and my mouth started watering because it made me think of "Puka Dogs". I like mine spicy w/ mango relish and lilikoi mustard. Have you had one Lani?

I've had them at the original store (actually more of a stand) in the Poipu Shopping Village on Kauai, but I understand there is one in Waikiki now.
