If you prefer rubber I think the cd 2006 is a better watch There is no bracelet option for that watch - rep at least The slevin is only 42mm The 2006 cd is 44 mm That said if I had to choose 1 it would be tv slevin on bracelet

The bce dial is definitely gen in that photo

Audemars Piguet Rubens Barrichello II
rogerthat replied to Mickey Padge's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
Wise move with the servicing, looks better on the black croc as well. Good pairing. -
I understand that was a gen, but my point is that the inner bezel heights may in fact differ and that is why the gen has that diamond inner bezel to take up the space. If you are not "bling it out" it may not work. I don't care for the bling personally, but to each his own.

I assume The Zigmeister must have removed a little of the rep lume/paint before applying new lume but likely not all of it. Really though you would have to ask him. It does glow extremely well, equal to a relumed Pam in terms of glow and as good or better than any watch I have ever owned. The gen strap was a purchase from a member on another forum I bought it used and just sold it used as well. I now have a brand new gen strap which is amazing, just need to take some new pics.

Yes very good observations The Zigmeister lume and service Cheif ar crystal Gen strap. Just got a brand new pair of shoes too I will show off soon
-
Would it fit with the inner bezel? The heights may be different?

"Sweet! Now get that cyclops AR'd" I did, my cyclops was one from the Lani/Cheif run, unfortunately it does not really provide the look intended; not sure how Rolex makes that work, but I don't think there is a way to mod it properly "Ihave a Rolex GMT2c with real ceramic bezel, the same like you rogerthat, right? I made it up as far as I know it does not exist in gen or rep form There are so many variations though who would know?
-
Yes, this watch has a gen bezel insert installed. It is indeed shinier and the numbers are lighter in color compared to the rep bezel. I will take artsy as a compliment from a photo expert like yourself. I have admired your skills for years, I am just starting with the photo editing stuff.

Nothing just that it is not sold as shown by any dealer I am aware of. I had to buy 2 models to custom make it.
-
Took these 2 shots today and I thought I would share. I think no one else has this exact model?
-
Just took this photo today and thought I would share. My previous post with this watch had misallignedand mangled screws, I have now finalized fixed that problem!

A7750 servicing, Carreras, and dealers
rogerthat replied to metaljesus's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
You are just learning we have all been there don't take comments personal My last comment is that although we trust the dealers here enough to send them $500 for an illegal it we don't believe everything they say or buy everything they might want to sell us Again salesperson vs watchsmith, 2 very different professions -
A7750 servicing, Carreras, and dealers
rogerthat replied to metaljesus's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
All dealers are sales people selling watches not watchsmiths Servicing and reluming requires a watchsmith Don't confuse the 2 professions and you will be much better off Secondly I see no point in servicing and luming this watch at this time Get it, wear it for at least 3 months to make sure you like it before spending more money modding it The movement is reliable out of the box servicing could be done a year down the road just as easy -
Strap recommendation for Graphite Chronomat Evolution
rogerthat replied to totalwise's topic in The Breitling Area
Gen breitling croc in black or brown would be the only way to go if you don't like the bracelet The used pricing on these is much lower than 1 year ago -
Review - Audemars Piguet ROO Rubberclad
rogerthat replied to b16a2's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
I have one of the newer bezels and it does seem very durable No signs of peeling or anything of that nature Though I do notice a small chip in the rubber from a bezel screw indenting it? Anyway the bezel seems to be definitely improved Thanks for the review -
Yeah unfortunately I read a few of the same comments 8 months ago or so. Must be some kind of cheap rep factory lume issue I think the only solution is to send it to The Zigmeister or vac they both offer relume on this watch and is worth it even if you had no issue

I read many similar stories of gens on timezone so a nick in the as bezel can happen

Update on "gen trade of a lifetime" and the whole story.
rogerthat replied to rscmaine's topic in The Rolex Area
GREAT Story!!! Wishing you continued success -
Hoping for some feedback on my strap choices. I tried to change over the outer bezels as well to give 2x as many options but that proved to be a PITA and I quit and sealed up the watches for now... quick note: I left the strap screws not screwed in as these watches tend to strip screws and I wanted to avoid that until I madeup my mind on the best combo for each watch. First up Black rubberclad... Tried first with black croc..not a big fan Next tried with metal bracelet, am I crazy or does this look better than the rubber? 2nd watch: White Thames on metal bracelet Tried with genuine hornback strap, what do you think... I think I like this option best, but I am really on the fence between this and the metal bracelet.

Yes, sorry for the confusion, thank you for editing the post topic heading. Been away for a few days so I did not see the activity on this post until today. Watchdog I did not mean any harm to you by the post. I can understand that others could infer that and that was not my intent, so please accept my apologizes. I was really just probing for advise to see how other members would communicate or attempt to communicate with the person in question. Since I have not been scammed and the timeframe is still within reason I felt it un-called for to name a modder and hurt their reputation but of course my intent was not to insult Vac or Watchdog, 2 RWG modders that I have never had an issue with and are not the party in question here. The modder could be someone unrelated to rep watches the question is really just do you find the all of a sudden drop of communication strange and would you be concerned and attempt contact another way other than emailing? I know the respected modders here like Watchdog and Vac do not want to be bothered with constant status inquiries and the like and I am mindful of that and normally a patient person.

Yeah, I would say that you can remove the old crystal without any tools, thumb pressure. But you need a crystal press to put the new crystal in properly, unless you are adventurous.

Gorilla glue expands while drying so I would use the tiniest amunt and use use a toothpick. I would allow it to sit for a couple of orders and watch carefully to make sure excess glue does not appear on the dial at any point.
