  1. This is the new BCE I guess? Not sure I love the engraved numbers on the bezel, but it will probably look great in person, everything else does. The date font does not look as good as their previous font, maybe actual production models will not use the font pictured.
  2. While your OP was not specific enough to be labeled accurate, I do agree that on certain brands like Cartier which often use Blue hands, I have not yet seen a rep matching the gen color correctly IMO. If anyone has any pictures of models that do, please post them or i anyone has repainted their's. Mainly talking Women's Cartier, for the wife you know.
  3. Looks great!!! I have a rubberclad on the way in the mail and no I have buyer's remorse that I did not go for the RB model. As mentioned a real conversation piece, most everyone on earth won't know the model and will see the build quality and never dream it is a replica. Can you let us know if straps are interchangable on the 2 watches you have? I am not sure I am digging the black leather strap and I own other AP ROO straps. Thanks,
  4. Yodap is correct on the gen on the rep it is for show, non-functional and one of the most obvious "tells"
  5. My watch head has no scratches, but I did scratch the buckle as well just trying to remove it, screwdriver slipped any ther eis a tiny scratch on the buckle now where the pin meets. I could not use the buckle with my strap anyway. Not a big deal, but yes the finish will scratch. It almost seems like the coating is less on the buckle given that I have done about the same level of contact with the watch head and yet to make a mark.
  6. What type are you looking for? I am planning on selling an AP Bands black croc strap for example.
  7. The rotor should spin freely on this movement, so it will make a little noise but with the big metal case of an AP ROO it should not be very audible. The caseback can easily be opened with a screwdriver, see the 8 screwheads on the back. Unscrew them the case back comes off and you will be staring at the rotor. When you look at the rotor and movement you may be able to see what is making the noise. Just be careful not to get dust into the movement while the caseback is open and you will be fine. No special tools or skills, just 1 screwdriver. Best of luck.
  8. Noisy how, like the rotor spinning? Maybe you could just tighten the rotor.
  9. Nice watch, I definitely prefer this watch on the strap. An AR coat would be a very worthwhile mod, I would think the lume is very minimal even on the gen or if recoated so you would not get as much bang for your buck for that mod, but if you really love the watch go for it.
  10. Here is a picture of my combo without the photobucket bandwidth issue...
  11. Thanks for sharing Wonder about the lume on these looks like there'd is no more lumed inner bezel I like the steel version
  12. Glad the link to my old posts works, looks like my new picture doesn't becuase of a photobucket bandwidth issue? Honestly getting the made for Panerai thick strap on my Blacksteel was a pain in the butt, so I have not taken it off and do not plan on taking it off for another strap anytime soon.
  13. Here is my combo, I am not a big fan of the rubber strap.
  14. I think there more tz or other gen forum snobs browsing these rep forums on a rregular basis than there are rep posters going to the gen forums on a regular basis Fact is this forum and the other rep forums are more active and much more informative In short this creates jealously We enjoy you pictures by-tor keep posting them over here and screw tz they don't deserve you
  15. Honestly the last thing I would worry about is the hands. If someone possibly can recognize the hand difference they will know it is not gen even if you had gen hands.
  16. Yes,I really hate this watch:D
  17. This is fantastic, can't believe I missed this earlier!!! Time for a bump for the franken. So the bezel and the bracelet are also gen? Please share you opinions on quality and appearance of the brushing, etc... of the gen bracelet, gen bezel and gen case vs. the MBW or seconds at 12 counterparts. Great watch. I saw a similar gen dial on the bay not long ago, it sold for a very reasonable amount, I stayed away becuase I did not know if I could do anything with it.
  18. Took a few photos over the past week, funny looking back how my favorite watches has changed over the past couple of years, here are pics from this past week of my current 5 favorite watches. Current Breitling has 3 of the top 5 slots. All are similar in size (no coincidence) BCE - my favorite AP ROO my #2 HBB my #3 Bentley GT my #4 Blacksteel my #5 Let me know your favorite of mine or your own favorite rep or gen.
  19. Great photos, so sharp and detailed especially the 029 shots. Thanks for sharing,
  20. Looks sharp I like that bezel. The main issue is the sunken date font BUT the dial really pops and it looks like a nice / flashy watch. A little too big for me though. Cheers
  21. No worries The Zigmeister ; I am more than pleased with the lume job and servicing. I believe lining them up should be relatively easy (will have to open the back though) The screwheads have nothing to do with The Zigmeister, I mentioned this previously just wanted to make sure that was stated officially.
  22. Adding pics with gen bracelet. Gen dials I believe are about $400 US These pictures do a good job of showing how the shade of blue changes in the light.
  23. "I think dealers I've been dealing with have been usually inspecting the watches before they ship and possibly servicing some of them" Maybe inspecting but never servcing that I gaurantee.
  24. Yes, you are correct...I know this now They are held behind by little tiny nuts. They do not unscrew from the front, one was done by me and one damaged by someone else who I thought knew what they were doing (watch smith I was using over the summer...not anyone on this board). Only 2 have marks that can be seen by the naked eye, keep in mind these close ups are like looking through a loupe. It is complex contruction the caseback screws are not holding the fronts in the little nuts behind the fronts are.
