  1. Hey Sgt - I can give you a push, no worries we can find some entertainment to bring back to the platinum lounge...
  2. Sorry to hear of your loss, I recently lost my dog. He was with me for 14 years, a Boston Terrier, never a friendlier breed of dog.
  3. Definitely like the blue GMT, was getting tired of the single color insert.
  4. I have been wanting a white faced sub for a while after seeing someone post a pic of their sub in negative. After thinking about it for quite some time I got up the courage to build one myself. I started by reading as much about putting together a sub build on this forum as I could. I decided to start with a 16800 case and go for that era of a fantasy build. I like the look of lug holes and wanted a saphire crystal. After spending two and a half hours doing this: I was able to get the dial to fit.I still have some parts yet to arrive so I am doing this as I have the parts and time. Mostly a project for myself but thought that I would share.
  5. No, but we do live in a cave and hang by our toes from the ceiling... I dont know why it posted upside down, I'll try and edit it from my desktop later as now I'm on my iPhone.
  6. I thought that I would give you guys a glimpse at what I spent some time working on this weekend. I have been sourceing parts and a few have come in so I was able to "dry fit" some of them together to get a feel of how it will look. Just a little tease...
  7. Worked for me only after I deleted cookies and history, I'm using safari on my iPhone... ... oh and thanks to Admin for fixing the champagne pool, might think harder about that diamond membership but only if its pink champagne...
  8. Should be more like "The Baller Club"
  9. I just upgraded from VIP to platinum and let me tell you, the forum just looks different now. It sparkles and glimmers and it even automatically told me the answer to "who has the best sub?" I'm telling you everyone should experience the forum like this... Just saying...
  10. What's this with the diamond club? I don't want to miss out and have Mike and Legend the only members, share the love!
  11. Ok, I confess when I first saw the RW I was like "oh, another boring watch". But I must say I am totally impressed with that watch! Total fan of the 3, 6, 9 tricompass, love the PVD case and total sucker for carbon. Love the watch, wear it well!
  12. Well I send attachments all the time with gmail and I have never seen google drive.
  13. After customs has it switch to using USPS tracking, I don't think ems tracks after inside the conus.
  14. both the 2836 and 2824 (swiss and clones) are 28,800 movements, the a2813 (typically refered as 21jby the TD's) is a 21600. Both gen Rolex and Omega models you have are in the same 28800 beat. If you bought the high beat then either its your eyes/mind playing tricks on you or the movements are dirty and could benifit froma cleaning and service. If a mvmt (swiss or asian or gen for that matter) is dirty and fouled up it will not behave correctly.
  15. well its a 6497mvmt, those are strong and reliable mvmts and last a long time
  16. thanks guys, I just upgraded my tool supply with an order from WatchBitz. We'll see how far they take my courage...
  17. I tried that, I can see that some of the gears are turning however I can actually see that the release button is stuck down and is not popping up. I can look at it again after dinner but I'm not wanting to force it and that is what it feels like if I push any harder...
  18. So, I thought that my afternoon needed a bit of complexity added to it... I got out my 42mm Noob Exp II and opened the caseback and decided to try my go at uncasing the movement, I read the tips on the forum on the proper way to remove the stem with out screwing things up and I was sucessful! I wanted to make sure I did it corrrectly so I re-inserted the stem and no problems, I removed the stem without f@*king up the keyless works!!! So I went about removing the movement form the case to remove an annoying piece of lint and to properly line-up the dial with the rehaut engraving, then I put it all back and tightened the movement and put the stem back and sucess, it all still worked! I was having a reall sense of accomplishment! Feeling the swell in my chest and a sudden swagger in my step I remembered that the 24 hour hand was a bit off so I wanted to see if I could fix that since the caseback was off still, so I removed the stem again and procedded to re-check myself by re-inserting the stem to see if I had screwed the keyless works up......... Yup, I apparently pressed too hard on the release for the stem so I have screwed up the keyless works... I have searched and found the appropriate tutorial on how to fix this and I am thinking about doing this however I have a question first. As this seems to be best done with the hands and dial removed, but when I hacked the movement to remove the stem but it started to run again when I removed the stem. So the seconds hand is running, do I need to wait until the power reserve is out and the movement is not running to safely remove the seconds hand? Thanks
  19. Yes, there are actually 5 for the tube/crown. 1 inside the crown, 1 outside the tube, 2 inside the tube and 1 between the tube and case.
