  1. Sgt - your killing me with that tudor sub! Have you heard anything about your chances at the tudor homage your were in line for?
  2. So looks like it was an over zealous shipping agent that instead of stealing the watch marked it as a brand name watch. Sucks, but once it leaves the sellers hand what is he to do?
  3. Thanks guy! It's been fun for sure!
  4. @1680 - will that "promising field" help me find who has the best sub?
  5. ha, was actually using my desktop to log into the forum today and I noticed on my member info to the side that I've been a member for exactly 2 years! I am not a proliferate poster, but I do read most all posts on the forum so I feel that I really know abunch of the guys on here even if we have never ineracted! I have learned a bunch on here and I hope to learn even more! Now Maybe I need to learn from some of our more proliferate posters and make some "meaningful" contributions to the forum!
  6. I must say, although I'm not a fan of black dialed dress watches this DJ is really nice! Nice job!
  7. Fraggle - that's a kicking Daytona! how's the PVD coating on it holding up?
  8. Honestly Mike even after years of reading how these treatments help rep bracelets I only just recently got around to ding this to mine after reading your post! I did not realize how big of a difference it would have made else I would have done it earlier!
  9. When I read stuff like that legal jargon it makes want to never own a rolex. "We own the rolex name when it comes to taking your money, but we don't own it for real because rolex Geneva really owns it. rolex USA "own" it for purpose or forcing you to send it it to our rsc so we can overcharge you for parts and labor. Felt like I was watching a high speed table tennis match when decifering whom really owned the rolex name.
  10. Well you can buy a lot of these brands on amazon as well, and from amazon not a marketplace vendor. With amazon you get a warranty, for two years I think.
  11. Interesting, would not have thought to treat a mesh bracelet. Usually with these types of chain lube you would not want to leave overnight. They are meant to put on, work into the joint, clean grime away, repeat until lube is not black. On my bracelet that I just got and treated it was still blackish after three applications so no wonder these rep bracelets feel like crap, they're full of it! I use a different brand and they reccomend to work in and let sit for 10min then wipe clean. These lubes are basically a carrier with a petroleum distillate (wax type substance) suspended in it that is meant to evaporate (carrier) and leave the solid wax behind to work as a lube. Think of it as a wet way to apply a dry lubricant.
  12. I've heard of many great finds at Cosco, SAMs usually has far fewer high ticket watches. Too bad I don't have a Cosco near me, I could drool there for a change!
  13. Oh I've seen several brands of gens at SAMs before, just not a nice one. They almost always have a shelf full of Movado or Raymond Weil, mostly cheaper invictas just never seen an 1887 and the price is reasonable given you aren't going to have a warranty.
  14. Found these on a trip to my SAMs Not a too good to be true price on the victorinox but I like the look of that 1887
  15. +1, this is not a 36mm version. Should double check with dealer.
  16. Maybe it's me but something is up with the minute hand, but other than that what's the tell on this one?
  17. MD sent me a pm saying the he received my mvmts and will start work and send pics soon. 1.5 hours later I've gotten a pm with an assembled mvmt and this pic. Will I use his services again in the future? Heck yes!
  18. Well really the only problem I see is its not on my dresser with my watches but I'm just nit picking!
  19. Holy cow, or in this case holy buffalo! Looks good, hope you like it. I'm not a straight blade guy, those multi blade disposable shavers work great for me!
  20. PB is in the CONUS, California near BK. too bad you didn't know about him and BK would have sent the watch straight to PB for you and then PB would have shipped it out to you after be worked his magic!
  21. MD, pics are probably posting sideways since you are posting mobile. When I post from my iPhone I find that I MUST take a new pic as opposed to use existing and then I MUST take the pic landscape. I don't know why but the board software likes pics landscape.
