SEL is horrible on that one, the noob exp II is better then that one at half the price. When I look at some of thee homage pieces I usually thinking that I'm better off buying a rep. Rep is usually cheaper and the boards are good at sharing the known issues but some of these homages are made right beside the reps and are twice he price.

Did it come snapped closed and it just won't close again or did it come opened and never was closed? Might be able to gently sand the inside of the grooved link but be gentle if you sand too much it might not stay closed. I had an issue with my easy link and ended up needing to buy a new bracelet and swap it out.

Matte dial with WG surrounds? -
Actually, it's the $999 question.

Not working at all or not keeping time correctly? Remember to pull the crown all the way out to the 3rd position and back all the way in after setting the time. I was having problems with my EXPII until I read that part and it was all better after that.

Oh man, I wanted to be noob master... :-(

Go with choice three, when I got mine the case back was so loose I could open it with my fingers. So the design might be capable of WR to 3atm or more but until its been tested don't count on it. I am probably going to send mine off to get a mvmt service and will get WR testi g at that point. Curious to hear if anyone has had it tested and the results, but would think it will pass 3atm if closed tightly.

Oh, I'm certain that most people don't reconize that it says rolex on the dial. Most people don't know what a rolex even looks like let alone if its fake or gen, wear in good health.

Price was less than $100. Minute markers are to long, surrounds are too thick, also look raised, hands are wrong (too thick), date mag is off sure there is other to note but that is what I can see.

Pics please.... No pics must mean the watches are figments of your imagination... :-) -
Wow, super post! Going to go back and re-read because its just that good! Just curious, what did the mvmt perform like after the service?
-
Should be ok, I had mine in hand about 24 hours after it was in bound to customs. I live in Texas and it cleared thru San Francisco...
-
Did you order from puretime.co? They typically answer e-mails within 24hours.
-
I'd accept. The date is a bit low but if your ok with that the other issues seem to have been addressed.
-
Only presuming that the distance from rep and gen are the same with same focal length lens and at the same angle... You don't need fancy line on the pics, just look to the minute markers that the triangle points to and you will see that they are perfectly spaced.
-
Please stop drawing the red line at a tangent, draw the on perpendicular to the radius and you will get better results.
-
Pure rubbish, it is an optical illusion caused by someone trying to gage distance on the bezel based on a crocked as heck cyclops. Remove the colored lines on the pic and or look at your noob GMT II and see how the triangle between 4 & 6 points to 12 min 30 sec and also look at the triangle between 6 & 8 points to 17 min 30 sec. Unless the forum would now suggest that the dial minute markers are off there should be no question that there is nothing wrong with the bezel markers.

I think of it kind of like the all you can eat buffet, I usually get the same thing but stray once in a while. I always go back to my favorite... Most dealers can get the same watches, sounds like you prefer loyalty so pick one and go for it.

A lot of the issues that people are complaining are hardly noticeable in real life. My QC pics made it look like there would be lume over the edge on 2-3 markers but when I received it I could tell that the lume is sloppy/bumpy but could not visibly see overspill lume. Also the lume is really only sloppy/bumpy if you are either using a loupe or shinning a bright light to the watch, even then you must look up close. The dial print issues that people mention are not visible on my dial in real life and are likely due to low resolution pics or screen. Rehaut does seem to be a bit off on some, not mine. Cyclops is crooked as all get out on some, mine is. Crystal is beautiful and the lec crown is great. Sel is as is mostly the case an issue but we knew that going into the preorder. ICHS, well it is what it is. I have the white dial so do not have any comment on the black dial, I really am pleased with the watch except a small issue with my bracelet that it appears that Angus is going to settle (a link has fallen apart). It has been on my wrist for the past three days since I opened the package Saturday, and don't think it is coming off anytime soon.

Only on the black, can be modded to fix

Thanks Gtanak - I allready read that post. I guess if I rephrase my question a bit it would help. Iis the lift angle of the 2836 with GMT supposed to be 53 or something else? and does any one know if the timegrapher used by Angus automaticly pre-programs the beat error or if it was a simple mistake by a hurried worker at Pure Time? I am trying to get a reply from PT but I also figured I could get a response form the experts here. I am not a watch maker and not an expert with movements so I am only able to remotely remember the articles that I have read in the past, I thought that if lift angle was manually entered higher than it was for the given movement it would artifically decrease the estimated amplitude. If this was the case then my movement might really have a much better amplitude than 259, however I am a bit of an amateur on the logic of horology and timegraphers. I am also not certain how (if at all) this (if it was a mistake) would effect seconds/day

I got my QC pics on my first TD rep purchase. I think the watch is ok, however my concern is for the movement, it is a Swiss 2836 GMT ICHS for the new 216570. It pic shows the beat as 28800 with +13 sec, amplitude is 259 and beat error is 0.4ms. My question is the timegrapher shows the lift angle at 53, I thought that the 2836 was 52? Is that possiblely why the amplitude is low? and the rate to be +13 sec? I am thinking that I might reject this one based on movement, however the way the QC pics went for the asian 2836 I might keep it if the experts feel it is a safe gamble to get the watch and give it a service and it would be ok. Thoughts please...
