The funny part is that 90% of those guys won't miss a beat if they were offered a half price franken. They get butthurt on principle but would never throw down for an authentic.
I think the datewheels plus shipping is probably under $100. If you want to the the datewheels, taka AR, and gen crown/tube, you're probably looking at another $300, installation, relume and servicing would probably be another 400-$500..
I think you can come away with a pretty good franken serviced, for about $1000
That's a great watch. I love the thick straps. I'm always caught between having too much tail or not enough. It looks good like this. for these type of straps too much tail sucks, it's nicer to keep it at the bottom of the watch and not coming up on the side I think..
Anything other then a G-Shock would be silly. I assume you are going to go to the gym to work out and not try to pick up, so a G-Shock would be it. I bought mine specifically for the gym, or playing sports, or any rough activities. I wouldn't want to waste money on a fancy rep watch that will not keep up to a good beating.
I don't use them to upload to the forum for people to scan for imaginary issues.
I'm sure just like in the real world, when you're a [censored], people are less likely to help you out.
I like my main dealer. He has bent over to help me out whereas some dealers I've used have been useless after they get my money.
