More updated pics. The watch is now sold, but I have learned a lot and I know I will be able to build another one some day soon I hope.
Just look at that end link fit with gen bars

Old post revival. Call me Jeeeezus!
Fid, is that movement gen on the OP?

The y3135 movement is sterile. SA3135? Gen?
-
Looking for an ST3035 case if anyone has one for sale. PM me.
-
Indeed great news of his recovery.
-
TC little franken. Happy 13th!!!

Hi Tc,
can you get one SUB case with lugholes?
No, but you can get master JMB to do it for you for a small fee. His work is quick and excellent
-
Perfect platform to play with
-
Oh my!

They do have a navy blue color... I liked this lighter blue better as I feel like it makes the dial and insert pop a little more. I am using my TC V3 clasp.
I hear you. I meant for me

16803... what do you think of the Everest Rubber Bracelet? I have seen a few pictures online with the subs and a rubber bracelet and it grew on me... I love it!
That is not too bad. I wish they had a navy blue color. Which clasp are you using?
-
TC Franken still.

Nice!

Have you guys notice that the dial and hands are extremely better then the dial we have in tc watch!?!??
The lume is flat , the marker is perfect, thicker at 12,6,9
Exactly what I noticed. Would love these dials, specially if for gen movement.
-
I have a gen dial and 3135 movement just WAITING for the TCSD

Oh my! That date wheel is very cool. I can see a fantasy blackout submariner in the works. Day-Black super lume on dial and hands and no cyclops with double AR crystal and blackened pearl.
I do concur with the white date disc being traditional and suiting the look, specially when trying to get "that look". Talk to us about these date discs and possibly some sterile super lumed dials Thomas.
TC you rock!
-
You could build a nice 5513 with that dial though
-
I dig it... But wish it didn't have the patina lume.
Exactly. I may just build one of these to see.

Man, I dunno. It just looks off somehow. Besides the fact I'd never own a watch with a flat crystal, to my jaded eye this thing lacks the elegance of the Big Crown. It's like the shape of a Jaguar E Type compared to a BMW Z4.
A real piece of art is separated from cave drawings by subtleties. Anyone can draw a clunky diver case. But it took a maestro to design the swoop and curve of the original. That's the first step where this went wrong, IMHO.
Indeed Nanuq, indeed.
I forgot to add, an Athaya big crown will definitely match the bulky new case.
I may have a case that this could be built with.
The non lume pearl ceramic insert would be awesome. Like a GMT insert with no GMT numerals.

I'm thinking HelenaRu sterile Bond gilt dial and matching hands, domed sapphire crystal, BP case minus the crown guards and make sure everything's water tight. The insert still eludes me. I would love to have the same insert but where to source it from?

TC sub semi-franken.

Wow! I'm sold! Thanks for fighting the good fight TC!

Did anyone order these?

Lovely! That pearl looks really really good! I like the insert as well. The red hand on the sub with the negative date disc is excellent! I have a plan or this now.
Thanks for fighting the good fight Thomas!
