  1. Updating the date wheel on this movement was fun. Easier once I did it a few times. SO when I decide to use the correct date wheel on the movement, I will try to give it a light overhaul and install the new hands, etc... I managed to age the dial in the oven together with the hands. I trimmed down the hour hand, albeit a tad way too much, but looks great still with the missing lume. The lume looks old and crackly with just a slight hint of browning. The sub-dial hands are still the DW ones, but waiting on a set from Yuki to do the swapping. Still need thick enough movement clamps to keep it all together and steady. Will love to test the case this weekend for water tightness, but won't have time and the contraption I made to do so is up somewhere in my in-laws attic. Still need to pull it out to test the SSD cases, so we shall see how it goes. Brushed bezel looks great. The DW crystal was dulled, then re-polished and it does not look bad. The cyclops magnification is closer to X1.25 than X2. If the experts could chime in that'll be great. BTW, has anyone seen the DW Tudor MC on ebay for 10,800? lol Thanks for looking guys. I will take better pictures of all of the individual parts when the D90 gets back in my hands. @JMB, what end links are you using with the bracelet? I found a set of 580s that fit the case very well. I have a 78360 bracelet but need an extra link to make it fit better. Right now alternating between a sillver/grey NATO and a Bund Eric made for me that is just amazing. E
  2. Correct. I have been lucky with the builds using the asian 2836. but the OP needs to definitely look at stem angle if the intent is longevity. E
  3. I believe the 2824 and 2836 share the same foot location.
  4. Looking good Mel. I was going to sell my mini fiddy case, but I may hold onto it for a project like this. Question is, mini 6154 or 6152? Thanks for sharing. E
  5. Updates, updates, updates E
  6. Ubi, oh Ubi what have thou done? I really don't need more projects on my plate. Looks great. Still waiting for the right parts for my 5514. This week starts for me as it ended. Tudor MC on Donerix bund strap. E
  7. Is it water proof? Lol. Joke Man that watch looks great. I have been eyeing a 300 for a few years just haven't pulled the trigger. Looking very good. Specs?
  8. The MC on Eric bund. E
  9. Still wearing the MC. Loving it. E
  10. MC special. Finally got a workable stem(thanks Chiman!)
  11. The top button starts and stops the orange hand. The bottom one resets. Try stopping first then resetting.
  12. HAHAHA I know what happened. My account was not active. Fixed. E
  13. If it were me, I would keep it simple and just down to two watches. The sub from box 2 and the speedie from box 3 with the added strap. Both elegant and rugged and non pretentious to some that don't know. E
  14. Yuki charges 65 for his sets. I am sure we can come up with a better deal combined. I'm game. Now, the issue with the minute hand length can always be worked out, but hopefully these are just the right length. E Did someone say Brass/gold Monte Carlo? Talk about a true 70s coke watch!
  15. For now my DW case set is using the DW modified hands. I cut down the minute hand and baked the hell out of the entire set with dial. I have Eric's black dial. @Modelizer I would take that hand set as is. The handles don't bother me too much but seems easily fixed. How much ?
  16. If you measure it all I can trade you a fiddy case back for yours as long as it fits.
  17. That set looks really good Modelizer. Where from?
  18. Going Italian today. My LP 44mm concoction on super soft leather courtesy of panatime. E
  19. Looking good Justin. E
  20. That's just 'cause you're such a playa!
  21. Now I have that dial lol I aged it a bit further and installed it in a heavily modified Josh case with PCG. E
  22. Poljot sturmanskie on Russian bund strap. This watch is solid.
