  1. I bought an Omega Constallation from Eddie. I received a wrong model (not the one showed up in pics). I aked Eddie for a refound. I sent the watch where he told me and once arrived he refound my money to my paypal account in minutes. May you say this is a simple procedure, but i this complex business of reps, I consider this as a real proof of honesty. Thanks Eddie. I'll buy from you again, sure.
  2. Last week Joe PM me telling me my Expl was ready and that he was going to send it back to me by express mail so I could have it soon in my hands (I didn't paid him such a type of transport but he insisted). The watch arrived in 4 working days! I wanted the watch fully serviced and I received also a letter from his watchsmith with a detail of job done, parts replaced and expected accuracy. Thanks Joe! I was not happy waiting for so long but I was always sure that finally my watch would be sent back fully finished! Keep on this way and everything will be back to were always had to be.
  3. What doeas it mean Paul? You are adverising Daytonas and Datejusts in your web with solid 18K gold. Could you please be more precise? These comments do not help us to go and buy.
  4. Buena compra Manuel No sé cómo serás capaz de esperar a hacerle los cambios antes de ponértelo y darle un paseo. Nadie se dará cuenta . Disfrútalo con salud y mucha juerga! (sorry, just a bit of mother tonge).
  5. Felicidades... ya sólo os faltan 7! Es una broma... buen partido.
  6. Please, stop crying! You are not the only one who asked for a job and got a bad result back. You have spent enough posts about the same topic. Do the job yourself and stop bitching. PS: Come'n, post some pics of the watch after Palp's job and we can see the final result of this "scamm".
  7. QUOTE(veni12 @ May 16 2006, 10:59 AM) I think there are no other issues to discuss. People who can read behind the words can CLEARELY understand what happened and if namor is right or wrong. So let every individual think a bit, read 12 pages and end up in his own conclusion. From this point forward nothing new will rise.. just bad-mouthing. @namor... be consequent with your words...
  8. No way to compare hand work price in China to any western country. So yes, it's easy that upgrading a rep cost similar or even more than a rep. Not difficult to understand IMHO.
  9. I aslo do and works great! Nevar had a problem with any virus.
  10. This should be moved to humor section. At last, facts are: 1.- @Namor paid 600$ and was dissapointed with Joe's work 2.- Joe asked @namor to send back the watch to fix bugs 3.- @Namor didn't wanto to send the watch back 4.- Joe solved the problem by paying Palp to do the mods for @namor 5.- Finally, the watch was fixed What's @namor doing: 1.- Placing a post accusing Joe of being a SCAMMER 2.- Posting pictures of the watch as received and never STATING CLEARLY that finally Joe took care of fixing the problem 3.- Traying to mix concepts putting in the same basket people with delaying issues and his personal problem with Joe. You are dissapointed with Joe's work and that's understandable. But you have made the issue grown in an unaceptable direction. And now, just find your own conclusions.
  11. @namor, this is the way we all should go IMHO: carefully. And it doesn't mean you aren't right. It is just that some words have some extrme meanings that are better to put in quarentaine until all is absolutly clear. But if you really think what you wrote, you didn't have to write the post title in such a way. Please, do not mix concepts. Scamming is not sending watches back late or lack of communication. Also, your case till now is the only one, so (and don't take it for bad) I don't think Joe can be called scammer. I had some troubles with some trusted dealers and they also asked me to send the watch back to inspect and resend another. and obviously I didn't want to take the risk again and pay transportation. And I think, at least on my side, that it's been enough. Topic closed for me (ultil Joe show up).
  12. Nice to have some common sense back. Thanks @kruzer00. Let's start with facts: I've had two transactions with Joe: First, whole package on a DJ ladies TT and I was pretty pleased. I had some issue with King and he helped me to solve it. I was with him on the phone several times. He even gave me his mobile phone 'cause he was out of home. Many mails, all of them aswered. In the mean time before the second try, I've contacted him many times with questions about dealers, watchs, doubts about buying on e watch or another, and always he was kind and respond promptly. Second try, I sent him my EL's Expl I with some water inside to check movement and try to waterproof it as much as possible. it was End of nov 2005. Some troubles to arrive to destination (as stated by Joe; post office in origin and him had some misalignment on arriving date). Ok. he told me his colleague for movements was a bit overloaded and it was going to take a couple of weeks to do movement (I wanted to tune it a bit) and another week (more or less) to finish it. Last contact with him was end of April, and it was suposed the watc to be ready to be sent to me. In both cases, Joe never asked me to send any money in advance. I paid when I wanted. As you can see, i have a 50% of success with him, and still wait this last try had a nice ending. If at last I never see my watch back... I will buy another !!! Better take things slowly. I did learn this after buying my first rep from Paul in the middle of the crazy sale I has to wait for 4 months!!! Keep save and healthy my friends!
  13. Sorry for my mistake. Yes, I meant posts. Only one saying he's scamed. And posting "We have to stop this SCAM" as post topic. Some months a go, this title surely was atleast put under discusion. Yes, people is complaining because te Joe's prices. Com'n! I may not agree with his prices, but he published them and you can choose. Stop crying, please. I'm waiting for a watch also. And I made this public to make people understand than even you may part of the affected group, you can also wait to hear the other side of the history before to "sentence". Tell me whatever you want, but this is so and if not, bad bad. Sure we have to use this place to post issues and problems. But some minimum courtesy rules should be followed. It's quite surprising that none had balls enouthg to say somethin that was true. Why? Don't tell me because complaining on a trusted member is dangereous, you can have problems, etc. Ha ha. And now? What's different? I'll tell you. The difference is that it's easy [censored] on any one when you have other people supporting you. Sorry, but this is not the fair way I expected from this forum. And now, don't mind about the flame on me. Let's see how many are able to respect one single opinion or I need some other supporting me. I'm not a special friend of Joe. just a customer. But I would defend any other in he same situation. Some of you have forgotten a while a go when you defended other RGW1 members that were complained by lot of members and then some of you said: " wait, we need to know both parts of history". Well said then. I don't know what's the difference today (@offshore, don't take this personal. Not at all. Just using your post to develop my answer).
  14. Unbeliveable! Docens of threads , 90% against Joe and just one of the posters claims he was scammed. Sorry guys but it sounds all of you have something against Joe, having never deal before with him (isn't it rare?). 1.- @Namor has something really heavy to say, and understandable. But let me tell you that we have heard his opinion only. And I could also say that I don't belive him (even if I would). And he's using this forum to attac a trustable member (yes, still a trustable member). The worse thing is that even moderators are far from being imparcials on this subject. 2.- You can post all times you want that makes no sense spending money modding a rep and it doesn't mean you are right. Every one deserves his right of making other to mod a watch and pay for it. And I can pay as much as I think is correct and none of you has the truth in his pocket to call me shilly for it. 3.- As I said in my first post: take care. Everybody deserve an opportunity to explain himself. It doesn't mean you don't have your right to complain. But except @namor, the rest here is complaining about Joe just because he charges for his work (much or few dollars is just a matter of self understanding). Again, no flaming anynone, just trying to bring some peace of mind and relax. I'm one of those that have a watch on Joe's hands and since long time a go, but it doesn't means that Joe is a scammer!
  15. No offense at all @namor. I'm with you 100%. No words to explain what you feel when you get something like that after waiting for long. Mabe beacuse I' surely older than you I'm not going so far (and also because I haven't suffered that poor job from Joe), so I'll wait for him to explain wht's going on. You are right; I've benn surprised becaise some other member have got theis watches faster than mine. We'll see. But again, my bigger surprise was discovering so many (well, not much up to now) of you and very fast joining the "Joe's is not so good as you may think" line. I expect people expressing themselves in freedom and averyone if tell the (even "his") true, must be respected. When Paul's crazy sale delays, I was flamed for many people in old RWg because I cleaqry said that even this is an ilegal business, the business rules are the same. If I pay for something waht I've been asked for, I deserve a good service and treatment. I wander that thre are still some people defending dealers that do not come trhough as they should. Same for Joe. Again no offense at all. I respect your view (I'm not far from it) and I guess mine also will be.
  16. Next time post when things happens. Better than waiting until you don't know if the other part is able to aswer. I will post what I did in the other post. "If Joe has any reputation is beacuse of all you guys. Fore those that posted about the excellence of his job (and I'm talking about old and trusted board members, specially in the old RWG), and specially for all of you that never posted experiences like the one @namor is posting today. My personal experience with Joe has been sucessfull in the past, except now that Im waiting for a watch for near 6 moths. But when Joe posted he was sic, nobody (none of you boys), replaid any other thing than "get well soon, so sorry to hear..., etc., etc.,). And suddenly, one post (of some one with clear ideas and own personality, thanks @jdmdohcpower ) and everybody express what's seems to be heving kept inside for a long time. I'm not justifying Joe for this lack of communication, delay and job not well done. But IMHO, this is not the way to proceed to someone that maybe in one week you may realize was really sic at the hospital (I hope not). Slow down. Post your feelings, but leave the door open. You have the right to complain, but if later you realize you were wrong... would you post a public apology as well? Personally, I'm going to wait until he explains to us what's goig on. And in the future, if any of you have any complain, let us know, so we can protect our selves. That's one of the forum reasons to be." Cheers,

  18. I'm with you @warburg. On one hand it's too much time for some of us waiting... on the other hand, Joe's reputation still talk for him. I'm sure he will "come back" soon.
  19. I've been having fluent contact with Joe up to april 24th. Since then, no answers to my mails. I'm worried he's really sic, or.... ??? I know that is difficult to complain about so trusty and old boards member. I suspect he's having some more troubles then some health issues only. But we have to give him some credit guys! As said before, probably just a matter of lack of organization and method. I'm also waiting for a watch from him (in his hands since near 6 months a go) and still faith about receiving it soon (he promised me to send it to me one moth a go). Let's see.
  20. Consider Palpatine in EU also. I don't have his contac but you can PM him since he's member of this board.
